Awesome! And that is one happy puppy!
Great to see you finally on the road and enjoying all of your hard work on the truck. I look forward to seeing more of your travels and hopefully connecting up some day on your travels or mine once my camper is finished. Cheers, keep having fun.
Thanks 👍
Stoked for you guys and excited to watch your adventures unfold!
Awesome to see you guys on the road after such a great build! Best wishes on the travels!
Good for you guys, If you are ever in Montana you have a driveway to stay in to resupply if needed, and a shop to do any service work on your truck.
Fantastic, have a blast and a true adventure. Hope to follow you this year and start my travels as well! 😊
My wife and I live in the central mountains of AZ in Prescott. Awesome climate all year round at 5k ft. Plenty of BLM land and camping!! Casually looking for work? I got into catastrophe insurance adjusting a couple years back, hurricanes, nasty hailstorms like the one you saw the aftermath of. Easy peazy for people with a decent working knowledge of how stuff is built. You can get licensed online, do all your courses on the road.
Hit me up when you get into the SW!!
Love watching your travels and adventures. Miss you on the mats, Michelle!

Make sure to check out the Black Hills and Badlands in SD as well as some great places in Wyoming. Lots of great boon docking in those areas.
Awesome! Broke Overland Adventures!
Hey Chad, Nice to see you made it on the road. If you hit Canada in the fall we have an overland festival up on the great lakes. If you plan a Vermont trip we will be doing a shake down run with our truck later this summer. Stay save out there.
Great to see you on the road! - If you make it to PA - you have a place to stay in Jim Thorpe! Stop on by, stay a bit, and check out my 1079! Be well and safe travels!!
Really enjoyed all your build videos some of the best out there, looking forward the advetures with the truck
If you’re ever in NE Georgia and need a place to crash I have plenty of room for you to park and stay the night. Besides, I love to see the finished product. I was a big fan of your channel back when I had my LMTV M1079. And the best part is I’m 5 minutes off Interstate 85. Also there’s plenty of places to shop for fuel and supplies. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested.
Livin' the dream!
Entertaining and informative as always, and thanks for the info (and the reminder) about greasing those front drive shafts. I've not done mine yet... shame on me.
Best of luck on your journey and thanks for the video.
Lookin forward to the next one.
Awesome! When you come through Vermont stop in and say hi!
Will definitely hit you up.
I can't wait to follow your adventures! ❤
Lived up in the finger-lakes region of upstate NY. That was kinda nice. Two fingers…:)
I’ve added that to the list. Thanks
Congrats of finally getting out there :)
Heck yeah!!
Since you're in Ashville, I'd recommend seeing the Biltmore Estate. It's a fascinating place, with an interesting history.
We have been to the Biltmore and yes it’s impressive. The level of detail they put into to grounds is something.
Congratulations! Been waiting for y'all to show your rig in action. It also reminds me to buy shares in Exxon Mobil.
Yep we burn a lot of fuel. :)
Good luck y'all! If you ever get the chance, there's some spectacular spots in the PNW y'all should definitely check out, let me know if y'all ever make it to the area, I'll point you in the right direction.
Haha nice Ben.
Great to see that work done and getting put to use!
I'm a couple years into my 6 month build ...
My wife and I did a 6 month roadtrip in 2022. we loved harvest host, It's 100% worth it to stay overnight at 1000s of wineries, breweries, distilleries.
If you come through Chattanooga let me know. We have free camping at state parks and I can give you tips from my 5 years on the road.
Just seen you in Florence ky nice truck
acadia national park / Bar harbor is pretty cool
Acadia national park Maine must see. Outer banks North Carolina.
Avoid Hwy 58 in Patrick County, VA, They're currently moving the "mountain"(lol) to complete "Super 58".
Thanks for the heads up
You should come to Alaska, you can stay in my friend’s driveway.
Alaska is on the list
Don’t miss Acadia National Park in Maine. Get into Bar Harbor and plan some breakfast at 2 Cats restaurant, it’s all good, and don’t miss their biscuits w/strawberry butter. It’ll make you see Jesus. :). Expect a wait because it’s small and REAL popular. Taste of Maine restaurant, just across the river from Bath Iron Works shipyard is a great place for seafood.
If you’ve got time for the detour, you shouldn’t miss Mountain Washington in New Hampshire. You won’t be able to take your truck to the top, but they have shuttle vans (recommended), or the Cog Railway. Keep in mind the road is only about 1.75 vans wide and the drop off at any given point is….considerable. :). Well worth the trip.
I’ve added these to the plan. Thank you.
Have been enjoying fallowing along with you Chad, and will continue. Out of curiosity, and without getting into specifics, can you talk about how you and your wife prepared to take a year off? I always curious about how people prepare for such large life changes. I don’t know allot about TH-cam, other than very few people can make a living at it.
If you ever make it to Petaluma, I have some property and tools if you need a place to camp out.
Take care, and we will see you on the next one.
Thanks for following along. I should probably do a question and answer video. As you’re not the only one who has asked me that question.
I didn’t heat Texas in your route but If you do happen to make it to Austin area look me up.
Austin is on the list.
Cool! I can help you with a place to camp and a workshop to do maintenance if you need to. I think you have my email.
I've been watching you from the beginning, glad to see you finally getting to enjoy your ride. I'm finally in a place where I am starting to plan building an LMTV.
Does the truck move around much when you walk around? I was wondering if some motor coach stabilizer jacks would be a wise decision for when I get to that point?
We have not had a problem with movement in the truck. I was planning on getting two high lift jacks to put some pressure where the mud flaps mount, to act as stabilizers. But it’s really not needed.
Red's Eats in Wiscasset Maine, it's on Route 1, best Lobster rolls on the planet if you like Lobster that is.
I think I’m gonna have to do a whole video dedicated to the lobster rolls.
@@BrokeOverLand LOL..... yeah it's a great way to consume more butter too. Oh... and if you see any roadside stands to buy blueberries get some as Maine Blueberries put all other shit blueberries from other states to shame. I've found some frozen from PA here in TX that were close but the giant blueberries that come out of places like Oregon are an insult to what blueberries from Maine actually taste like. I've also had strawberries from there that were almost black on the inside.... and OMG... so freaking good. I almost relocated there 7 years ago and would still like to at some point except for the current batch of shit eating politicians up there right now seem hell bent on destroying the state. Look forward to your videos when you get up in that area.
I was wondering because you said in the last video already that you moved in to the truck full time . Good for you guys ! Did you sell house or rent it out for income ? Chad question what tire pressure do you run in the MV/T's on the highway ?
We rented it out and I run 75 PSI on highway.
Stay away from any state that uses salt on their roads. It will ruin your truck and your life...
If it gets cold enough that they need to add salt to the road, I’m heading further south. :). Lived in MN for a while, the salt ate the family car.
