A solid several minutes of some hilarious commentary! Thanks for making my whole afternoon better, Chad!
Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact😜
Good stuff, Chad! A little mods are always good.
“Shield the noise?!” What? Let it rip!
Chad, get a towel or foam to protect the car from the hitch and connect the hitch to the car first. Then you hook to the truck.
I’ll try that.
@@BrokeOverLand That's how I always did it too. I made brackets to hold the bars away from the towed vehicle while disconnected.
Just noticed your license plate could be the abbreviation for, "Chad Kicks Apostrophes" so many times!
I use to have a LMTV M1079 which I have sold. I so happen to have a pintail tow bar that I used to pull my jeep wrangler with. If you’re interested let me know. Love your channel.
I've got an older model blue ox - still frustrating, but the arms on mine go WAY wider if needed - so I can be less accurate :)
Chad is your back up camera wired for bluetooth? If it is bluetooth... can you feed it to your phone . so you could see the feed to aid in driving tow car into position for hook up?
It is wired
Bigger pintle and a 2.5" anti rattle sandwich plate for the hitch to the drop hitch. That thing will be silent as ever.
When I flat tow my samurai, I use a tow bar with a ball hitch. Much less slop.
In hindsight I should have bought a different tow bar with a ball and used the drop hitch I already had.
@@BrokeOverLand if only foresight were as clear as hindsight.
Looks great. I must have missed an episode, why are are you pulling the car?
So we can venture into towns and scout roads we don’t want to bring the truck to and just in case the truck breaks down we are not stuck somewhere.
Not being a critic, honest question here, do you talk to yourself that much off camera? No judgement, I do it to.
I 100% talk to myself that much off camera.
a used Uhaul front wheel dolly might, might make your life easier.
A rental you would have to pay a daily/weekly rate for, and because flat towing is possible with 4x4 vehicles whereas only lifting one axle off the ground and dragging another would lead to transmission damage but having all axles on the ground and following the instructions for your vehicle to flat tow wont cause damage.
Am I allowed to drive this one?
why a pintle hitch and not a ball?
standard issue on the LMTV.
They are better off road. You get more pivot... Plus it's cooler... Tacticool!
I wanted to use the pintle that came with the LMTV. In hindsight I should have used a ball and the drop hitch I already own.
STOP!!! you are too close.😁
I know! He wouldn't listen to me either... Weird...
