Fabulous retrospective of an amazing artist - I enjoy listening to Boryana's views on artists and learn so much from her. I recommend one listens to all Boryana's productions - they are filled with so many gems of information and are all really thoroughly researched.

Thank you! A self destructive genius, violent on the outside and tender inside. I love his complexity, I wish I was a fly on the wall in his studio...

I have heard it said that he was responsible for the invention of cinema lighting.

I managed order yesterday and receive today the Taschen Caravaggio The Complete Works, although a bit wary of books with "complete" in their titles, such as, the complete guide to figure drawing, a bold claim , or perhaps it is legacy of my current Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who is renowed for boasting and bold claims. Or just my background in sociology. Any how the book has quite a number of detail pictures as well as full pictures, of course, not the same as the real thing, but outside Newcastle upon Type, Liverpool is the nearest hope of seeing great masters at the Walker gallery.

Nothing like a good art book to take your mind away from unsavoury politicians. Enjoy!
