Love your videos! Thank you! To me, his career/story is the “art” piece.. with the paintings being fragments or relics of the whole.. that being said, I really enjoyed the Liz Taylor painting I saw in person.. maybe it was purely the aesthetics, but I felt some soul there.. to me, the only merit is honesty.. and I think he honestly wanted to be rich and famous and loved and accepted.. and he produced work in a way that captured that perfectly (imho)..

I always had a rollercoaster like/dislike relation for Warhol. In a way, I've enjoyed less known works like the "Time Capsules" which I saw at the Barbican in London 20+ years ago. But apart from that, the say "Art is all what you can get away with" results a bit extreme to me and on that respect I tend to have a Robert Hughes' type reaction to it . Definitely is a controversial milestone of the '60s and '70s so, in any case, must be seen and understood by all. Thank you for having contributed to make another of your clear, eloquent and witty explanations!

Andy Warhol would not be allowed to be an artist today, because he would be spending all of his time in court, being sued relentlessly by Coca-Cola, Campbell's Soup, and Brillo for copyright infringement.
Thank God he came along when he did.

I thank you for this Video! It shows me a bit more about the Artist Andy Warhol.
    I like the soup can.
His artwork reflects the society (Konsum world) at that time.
    I like his Art work.
Marylin Monroe Portraits will last forever. For me she is the Mona Lisa with the hidden sad smile.

He was such a big deal when I was at university. He had a gimmick that really paid off. I enjoy some of his work, but soon find it tiresome. It, for the most part, is bright and cheerful. Yes, it’s cool to have the soup can in your kitchen. I would if I had one, plus I really like red in a home. Enjoyed it.
