I can remember back when playing STRANGER OF PARADISE: FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN and hearing the OFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK. It really blew me away to think that JACK GARLAND created the FINAL FANTASY MULTIVERSE in this game! I heard songs from FF1, FF4, even FINAL FANTASY 6 and FINAL FANTASY 7. But full credit for beginning these theories go to THE NIGHT SKY PRINCE and MR HAPPY 1227!
Playing this game is really making me excited to play FINAL FANTASY XVI but unfortunately, I don't have a PLAYSTATION 5 yet. I'd love to make more CONSPIRACY videos with FF16, but for now this SOPFFO video should be enough! Until next time, RETURNERS!

The question is is Cid really Kang ?
the ffu has been an ongoing thing since the interdimensional rift in the 90's. and as SOON as i saw the WOrld a be referenced in SOP i knew it was canon to dissidia. and also ALL the FF's are referenced in SOP. the FFU has FINALLY been officially recognized
I’ve been hoping for an actual connection between the games. I have hoped for a long time that there would be some kind of connection or something! Thank you!
Nah, you're onto what's going on. I had picked up on this before the DLCs came out and I think Team Ninja is turning Stranger of Paradise into the origin story of how all the FFs come to be.
Let me spell this out.
Lufenia has become an interdimensional culture. They exist somewhere in the void, connecting to different dimensions and doing experiments on how to affect these dimensions.
We know this because that is what they have been doing to Dimensions One for a long time. They reset it when the world becomes unstable and the energy that is released from the reset is given to their benefactor who taught them how to access the void.
Who is this benefactor? Shinryu, the interdimensional dragon.
Sound familiar? Its should if you have played the Dissidias. It is Shinryu who comes to the World and resets it and absorbs the energy left over from the battles which wipes the memories of the combatants.
Back to Lufenia. The Lufenians have been experimenting with light and dark, order and chaos, to learn to control them both. In Dimension One they set up the crystal orbs to contain the element forces to make the world more malleable. But there is a consequence of this. This can allow light or dark to grow unchecked. Bet that sounds familiar if you played FFIII.
But look at what the dark or chaos does to people. It makes them more aggressive and can turn people into monsters.
So, question, what would happen if the Lufenians injected chaos into different dimensions?
You might get a tyrannical emperor who wants to become a demonic god.
You could get an overabundance of darkness that eventually coalesces into a cloud of darkness.
A world might crumple and its surviving inhabitants might use its moon to search the cosmos for a new place to live but inevitable brings the dark with them that corrupts people of the new world.
It could bring rise to a powerful dark warlock entity that wants to pull everything into the void.
The darkness could as corrupt the soul of a planet and cause it to seek out the life of other planets to sustain itself.
It could give power to a bloodline of mortals that become sorceresses that wreak havoc across generations.
The crisis of every Final Fantasy could potentially be explained by the injection of chaos into that dimension.
I think Team Ninja IS setting up an Infinity War type scenario with the Dissidias and Stranger of Paradise.
Another clue to this theory, look at the color of Chaos. Now look at FFVIIR and the color associated with Jenova. Coincidence?
You decide.
Thats cool, I thought of the games as dimensions too! I ran a tabletop RPG d20 back in 2009 called "Final Fantasy Dimensions" inspired by the tv show Sliders, where player's characters could travel through portals from one FF game world to another. Later I learned SquareEnix made a mobile game of that same name!
I'm glad to see another video. I had been inspired by the Stangers of Paradise and Dissidia DD final fantasy to do something similar with my final fantasy project. Jack Garland is now just Garland to me. Ff1 has so much potential with its world building.

I mean, World of Final Fantasy already confirmed there's a multiverse... Like it's straight up told to us. Either way it's SMT's Amala Network all over again!
The sage has returned! Yes!!! Top shelf video and I’m fascinated by this!
Here's my own little theory about how the FF games all connect.
Each FF game takes place on a planet in the same universe. There is an ancient race or civilization or entity or group of entities (probably the original Cid ) that is highly advanced and is going from planet to planet seeding them with life through the use of crystals ( of various quantity and quality ) in order to allow existing life forms on that planet to evolve and become advanced themselves and eventually join them.
These crystals are connected with each other through space and time and allow for transportation from one planet to another if utilized properly or through anomalies which is how characters from one planet and time can show up elsewhere. They don't understand this phenomena and call it a "dimension" instead. Each story in the FF games deals with how the civilizations that came to be on that planet deal with the crystals and the powers they were given.
The crystals all come from similar technology which is why the spells, creatures they create and classes ( that use crystal technology) are always so similar from game to game.
FF 1 - One race ( Lufenians ) utilized the crystals, became advanced, subdued all other races and trapped them in a time loop in order to continue growing and becoming more advanced, until eventually Jack and co. show up and screwed up their plans causing a great downfall in the civilization and a reset to medieval technology. A lot of time anomalies happened due to the time loop which is why there's the bonus dungeons with bosses from other games and you could argue that each release of the game showed a different loop which is why there's a difference in content. You could even argue that Chronodia was the leader of the Lufenians who created the loop to begin with or something and that he only shows up in the final loop.
FF 2 - Deals with 1 person trying to conquer the world with the power of the crystals and being stopped.
FF 3 - Similar to FF 2
FF 4 - Outright confirms the existence of higher civilizations traveling from planet to planet and waiting for civilizations to become advanced ( the Lunarians ), but one of them is evil and needs to be stopped. Also there's an even higher civilizations seeding planets with crystals ( The Creator ) who realized that each time a planet is given crystals someone becomes greedy with power and uses it to dominate others so they try to end the cycle after witnessing the downfall of their own civilization.
FF 5 - Has the party travelling from world to world to stop another evil entity from abusing the crystals. They can space travel through meteors and are on their way to becoming advanced.
FF 6 - Again, the leader of a more advanced group seeks to claim all power for himself and end up self destructing the world.
FF 7 - This world was seeded by the Ancients ( Cetra ) but another advanced civilization or entity ( who was evil, JENOVA ) showed up and kick started the events of the game. The life stream is actually energy from crystals inside the planet.
FF 8 - Didn't play yet, probably fits in somehow.
FF 9 - Same as 8.
FF 10 - The whole game revolves around the advancment of society being stopped by the antagonist, so they never get to become highly advanced to the point of space travel, but in X-2 that changes and they embrace technology instead of abolishing it which connects to them travelling to the world of 7. Maybe the civilization of Spira become the ancients of FF 7 and the life force is similiar to the pyreflies. JENOVA could also be related to Seymour since him and Sephiroth are very similar. It's possible that JENOVA is a corrupted fayth that Seymour created and Sephiroth is being controlled by his lingering will or something like that (I doubt we've seen the last of Seymour, he keeps coming back lol ).
Dissidia takes placed outside of the timeline somewhere far away where the original civilization has to deal with all the energy imbalance and time anomalies that all the crystal placing caused as well as Shinryu by calling out to the heroes and villains of the crystal worlds and teleporting them temporarily.
Ultimately, FF games are all about how the advance of civilization causes rise to corrupt and greedy evil powers which must be stopped by the righteous either by utilizing the technology and crystals in a good way, or by abolishing them altogether and refraining from further advancements.
There's probably more to it, like how Exdeath in FF 5 wants to destroy the crystals, but maybe he does so because he wants to stop the evil they will cause eventually giving us a different perspective on his motivations. A sort of " the world is better of without all these civilizations waging war constantly ". So maybe the crystals aren't all that good and the stories are more morally grey than we think at first.
I wonder if the Lunarians, Lufenians, and Cetra are all one and the same. I'm definitely going to get into this theory way more! Thanks so much!
Can you continue with ff11-16 how do they fit into this “universe”
@@id1550 Haven't played any of them so I can't for now.... But I'm sure that each one fits in somehow, the main theme of FF has always been the same in every game, just a new twist on it each time. Ancient civilizations with grand power cause downfall of some kind...
Glad you've found the crossovers, but it's actually nothing new. The first, at least major, one was Cloud winding up in FF Tactics. Since then Gilgamesh, Shinryu, and Omega have done the most hopping around (though there's also Gilgameshi that are different people). It gets really overt in the mobile games. In Brave Exvius you call in echoes out something from other games. Mobius is largely populated by trafficked in souls and you have visits from lots of protagonists (Tidus's is particularly interesting). Record Keeper is about monitoring the events of different games. It goes on and on.
Love the video, bro! I love the idea of all the games being seen as universes and hopefully in the future games there will be direct hints to other games to expand on the idea of a FFU!
Thanks so much, brother! I would love to see this also!
Lenny! Welcome back my mate. Loved this! Your videos are absolutely 1st class like Zack
Pretty cool theory. It would also mean that every possible party composition in FF1 is canon. Thats right, the all White Mage party destroying Chaos exists somewhere... maybe...
This is true! Along with one single thief who's probably VERY heavily celebrated right now, lol!
I always believed that everything was connected and that Square is aware of this. Strange of Paradise only added more fuel to the fire, one of the things I most like to believe is that Bahamuth in Strange is Bahamuth from Final Fantasy 15, their stories match up exactly if you look at the entire expanded universe of 15; Gilgamesh also believes he has a somewhat planned journey to a certain point, even creating a timeline. What I really believe is that Square connects its games (not just Final Fantasy) in such a way that one doesn't get in the way of the other's plot, but the connections are there and just need a little imagination from the fans.
Great video man! I haven't quite made it through different future but I'm totally with you on this theory! What a great game!
Thanks so much!
@@TheReturnersHideout reunited with my boy from grade school who played ff6 and 4 with me and told him to join the hideout!
Oh my gosh that’s amazing!
@@TheReturnersHideout yeah I'm pumped had to bring him over and show him ff16 cuz he has Xbox lol
Bro, your videos on this game are the sole reason I own it. Tragically though, I purchased it several months ago and it's kind of sitting on my shelf after I played through the first couple stages. There are exceptions (Tears of the Kingdom, what?) But my infamous gamer attention span makes me jump ship so fast. These videos however, keep making me go " Oh dude that's amazing! I got to take some time and get back into that one!". Final fantasy multiverse FTW!
Thank you so much! I too have that problem which is why this video came out WAAAAY after it’s release lol!
Great Video. Each ff universe must have it's own history since all the land mass are different. Also, recently playing ff6, does that mean that each universe has it's own pocket dimensions that it is attached to? This would be in reference to the esper world and also ff5 that has a the darkness dimension Exdeath keeps dragging cities into.
Using this theory I would say so! It would be the reason why some “dimensions” of FF games have the extra dungeons. Like in FF1, there’s a cave not far from Cornelia that serves as extra content in some but not others - what caused the cave to happen?
Would love a game where you travel in different dimensions
I would absolutely play that game! Thank you for commenting!
It did strike a chord with me. I have been wondering when SE would take traction with connecting the FF games since 2008 with the original Dissidia.

Perfect theory! Good to see ya LP!
Thanks so much!
Interesting theory. I liked it. FF4 the years after had ff1 through 5 connected, by the creator and the crystals. So I can see them connecting all the universes together with stranger of paradise. Plus with the dissidia games they, everything is connected in my opinion.
I'd really like to dive into the theory further and see what other things I can connect! Hope everything is going well, thanks for commenting!
So now I'm curious if you will arrive at the same prediction for Zack in FF7 Rebirth as I have once you notice the connection between "Ahead On Our Way" and "Hollow."
Also, great to have you back.
NightDerpPrince as inspiration? Yeah that explains this crap. 😂 Nice intro though!
Yes the FFU is real
interesting theory dude. great video.
Glad you're back my guy!
Sounds fun out there I would almost call it final fantasy the unseen timeline
good video and i agree with p much all of it but i gotta say: buddy, where ya been? 😅
i was following updates on twitter about the game before its initial release and they were showcasing various locations in the game and explicitly pointing out their ties to other locales from other games. and i'm pretty sure fans were already pointing out the use of motifs from other games too. i was personally theorising (hoping) that Final Fantasy "Origin" Literally Meant that this game would show ff1 being the "origin" of all the other FF games, all the other "dimensions". (slight gripe, a shame they stuck with numbering each dimension directly bc it meant we couldn't get a location based on type-0 or tactics or crystal chronicles etc. lol)
tbh after i'd finished the game i was left feeling slightly disappointed. i'd hope that the game's story would reveal each of the Other-FF-Inspired locations to have gone on to spawn their own dimensions, thus making ff1 the "origin" of everything else in a story sense. but it turned out to simply be the other way around, that each location was created or terraformed to resemble one from a different dimension. the other games affected this game's world rather than the other way around like i'd hoped. either way i was glad to see all the tributes being paid to other games like this anyway.
(though i kind of wish they'd done MORE motif usage in the soundtrack, as well as made better use of all the original FF1 locations. Crystal Mirage?? a "prototype" for the actual crystal tower which we never get to see??? we never get to go to any of the other towns after pravoka??? the whole game+DLC is complete with the ENTIRE northeastern continent and most of the northwest remaining completely untouched? The Fuck Is This Shit lmfao what about the Real mirage tower what about Gaia what about Whatever's Left Of On-Earth Lufenia what about the Citadel of Trials what about The Entire Fuckin Desert what about ONRAC what about the Waterfall Cavern where you meet that one robot who's been waiting for you for centuries what about the CARAVAN what about the FAIRY you rescue they just couldn't come up with anything for any of that??????)
anyway i honestly wouldn't say your theory is all that tinfoil hat anyway, it simply makes sense. i don't think SQEX is planning to *do* anything with said multiverse, considering they fucking DELISTED the previously available versions of the earlier games... and it doesn't look like they're planning to add the extra content from those rereleases to the pixel remasters any time soon. but it's a completely sensible theory to posit all in all.
i haven't watched all your stranger of paradise videos just yet, but at least in this one i'm surprised you hadn't made any mention of the lufenians' "extraplanar collaborator" who i'm pretty sure and i think most others are pretty sure at this point is Shinryu, who's been looking for a new source of energy to feed off of after his plans with the Dissidia dimension all went Tits Up Twice Over. i'd suspected this as one of a few possiblities ever since the base game and i'm more certain than ever now. on the point of gilgamesh meeting garland, i'd assumed right from the getgo that he was referring to the Garland that he'd met in Dissidia. we don't have a specific *scene* of him meeting anyone from there, but he was also never brought into that dimension deliberately as a warrior for either side, or at least not that we saw. He's classified in-game as a Chaos warrior for gameplay purposes bc he is technically a villain, but Chaos didn't actually summon him. He just wandered in from the rift as he always does. so assuming he wasn't brought in during a previous cycle we haven't fully seen, he didn't have his memories of that dimension wiped like all the actually summoned warriors did each cycle, and even though there was never an explicit scene showing it, we have no reason to assume he wasn't talking about meeting Garland during that time. especially considering Mog very heavily implies he was sent from the Dissidia dimension on top of all the other Dissidia references we get given throughout the DLC packs. it's like the writers are trying to tow a bizarrely thin line, wanting to directly connect Stranger of Paradise to the Dissidia games *without* explicitly stating "This Garland Is That Garland" or "This Chaos Is That Chaos". (even tho "This Warrior of Light" almost definitely IS "That Warrior Of Light" lmfao)
(gonna go back and watch your content that i havent watched yet just to be sure you havent brought up any of that yet lol so if you already have brought that up then my bad ignore me. if not... some food for thought ^^)
OH also you said "1 2 4 5 and 6" and while it's true that 3 *technically* doesn't have an entire bonus Dungeon... the 3d version does have one small cave with a unique superboss fight against the Iron Giant. :p im just nitpicking now tho lmao
(OH and a third thought, i've seen some suggestions that a possible explanation for all the bizarre fucked up time travel/multiple parallel timeline/Weird Plot Shit In General has something to do with Chronodia, the endboss of the PSP ff1 dungeon the labyrinth of time. and personally if it means they'll canonise her in some more significant way then God I Hope So)
OK, this is crazy and I love it!
Thank you so much!
SquareEnix needs to put you on their Story Group.
I would love nothing more actually - I at least wish to compose a song for the series before I leave this earth. Just to leave my mark on it!
He's back
Yep! I've got a small crew together now and we're all working hard on making new content! Thanks so much!
Apparently in every other iteration of the ffu had some extinction event that killed all the horses. JS. Not too many horsies around.. lots of big ol chimkins tho
Please 1. Please let it be 1. I won´t be able to endure another generic, mainstream multiverse concept for marvel fanboys, who can´t accept self contained stories. Please spare us another attempt to realize this worn-out concept.
Just play Dissidia series and from the series find similar themes and try to understand Gilgamesh and Omega weapon to understand
TIL: Joshua Graham is Gilgamesh.
Multiverse? Bummer.
Final Fantasu Unlimited is a great anime series.
