For context, She committed suicide by falling from a height by dancing ballet, and the first thing that hit was her head. That's why she seems to have lost half her memory and thinks Aira is her child. Then her real kid was killed and his organs sold to pay all her debts. In the manga when she disappears, there is an additional scene that shows she holding her real child towards the light.
It is most likely yakuza (japanese maffia) owing them money, they realized she didn't have enough and took her kid as the rest of the payment. Sadly yakuza aren't connected to anything good and mostly likely got trafficked. In the manga we get a panel that shows her and the daughter in heaven so they most likely got together at the end, hopefully!
I thought they took the kid to say hey pay back soon and get her back. People keep going to darkest avenues but arent yaku known for being the less violent unless needed, like there a well known org they even make games after them. I think they left it to interpretation which is nice but also sad since most jump to the nasty thing ugh.
@@nichescenes No, the Yakuza are pretty terrible. They do sex trafficking just like any other big criminal organisation, which may well have been what happened to the daughter. Being 'well-known' or having games made after them doesn't make them any less horrific.
@@CodeeXD No need, Someone already corrected. Never meant they werent bad either was just saying among the top 10 their not #1 atleast on many sites. There are big orgs with like 100,000+ and so on. Atleast getting a fatal weapon in japan is less easy than other places. But yes i am not saying yakuza is good. Not sure where i said that.
My interpretation of events is Silky became a dancer but never meaningfully took off (possibly because she had a child). She get into debt (mostly likely due to not having a husband or had it left by him) to either loan sharks or the Yakuza. To pay the debt, Silky is working every bit she can to make a better life for her daughter but she sees a showroom outfit she wants to give her daughter. Now its possible but highly unlikely that Silky skimmed her debt fee to pay for the dress so I believe she used a seperate but large amount to buy the front display dress. It seems the debt collections either recognize the dress or its price and put a beating on silky for spending money on it when she owes them. I don't think Silky was supposed to be hurt so bad but with the cuts across her body and eyes then I think the collectors cut their losses with her being able to pay or possibly survive and took the daughter as payment. Finally Silky either makes it to an ambulance and ends her life at a later date or she eventually picks herself up off the sidewalk and gave one last performance to end her life before her wounds killed her.
Take away “their” pain grant “them” peace grant “them both” to a kinder world unfortunately her real daughter passed away too sold and mistreated after she was taken away…

The show doesn't make it as explicit as the manga, those guys were moneylenders who went to get what they owed, and when it wasn't enough they took their daughter, it's not known if it was to sell her or sell their orgones but what is understood is that she died, Sliky lost everything, her only purpose of doing everything and continuing, that's why she decides to do one last dance on the roof of a building, ending with a jump that ended her life (the sound you hear is her fall).
@ then to think this week sub is way better than the dub…I’m really finna be done with these reactions cuz this the weirdest thing I ever seen when it comes to reacting to anime 🤣
What do you think it happpens to that girl? They took her to pay the debt so probably end up with some predator who bought her like Diddy parties, it´s so fucked up that things like that actually happens
In the manga she appears next to the mother in the panel with the phrase "let them go to a kinder world" so she most likely was a victim of organ trafficking.
Acrobatic silky's child's fate is after being brought in, debt collectors sell her daughter organs to pay off her mother's debt, so acrobatic silky didn't know that her daughter was dead too And only after the acro lady sacrificed herself to save Aira and then Aira Embraced her did she meet her daughter in the afterlife. That's what happen in the manga
The red woman said she had been haunting Aira for 10 years, making me think the child would be about high-school age. Might mean that she'll come back around to the story somehow.
I don't know, it seems they are not respecting this anime at all. Maybe they don't like it but have to secure the bag since this is currently one of the popular shows this season.

its crazy that this beautiful scene where she was dancing ...was she dancing on a building and jumping of to her death. As a grown man i had tears on this part in the manga.
The anime didn't do a great job of showing it but at the end of that starlit ballerina scene in the rain, the woman *jumped off a building*. She didn't just start wandering around and turn into a yokai, she was so overcome with grief that she couldn't take it anymore 😭
She was a sex worker and worked multiple jobs, single mother tying to make it for her daughter, but took some money off the top that she was paying her pimps or loan sharks, to buy something nice for her daughters birthday, so they did what they did. Took her daughter and trafficked her. After she couldn't caught up to the car, she went to the roof of a building and danced her way off of it, falling to her death in suicide.
When i heard of Dandadan i didnt read it at first. When i got absolutely hooked on mangas, i tried it as one of the first recommendations and caught up in a couple of days. Its one of mangas and anime that really speak to my weird curiosity. I expected great things from a anime adaptation but this... This is one of the best adaptations ever. Its like Jojo and CSM that really try to recreate the spirit of the manga and translate it to new applications of the animation. It feels cinematic, the music is incredible. And like those shows, its an anime that really makes me hyped for the next seasons because i know which scenes would be improved and i want to see how.
These guys seem sheltered to ask what about the daughter or why the mom owed those guys money. Lol. Its obvious the daughter died, and the mom was having trouble getting by and taking jobs to provide for her little girl. Not everyone has such a privileged life.
The background of the story is set in Japan in the 1970s and 1980s. After that time, due to the economic collapse in Japan, a large number of people faced layoffs and bankruptcy. At that time, many people did not realize how bad the economic situation was and chose to borrow loan sharks from the underworld in order to start over. But later they found that not only could they not start over, they could not even repay the loan sharks, so they had to use various methods to make money. This led to the tragedy in the film that the underworld violently collects debts and even abducts children.

you guys are way to positive after scene where a child is taken. "what happened to her?" and "maybe she will connect with the daughter." bro....nothing good ever happens when a child is kidnapped
Also I don’t know if you knew this but there two groups that watch the sub and this group watch the dub on the normies channel so either don’t watch them or wait for them to upload the other group reaction.
From what I understood, the mom was a prostitute for the Yakuza and was also working multiple side jobs (janitor, cashier, etc) and she was paying money to the Yakuza. She saw the dress and she bought it with the money she was supposed to give them (that's why there were multiple scenes of her counting the bills) and when the Yakuza came to collect the money, she was short. They beat her up and took the kid, probably for human trafficking. She chased the car but collapsed from her injuries. After she woke up, she danced on a rooftop and then jumped. The thud that we hear on the black screen is her hitting the ground. At the end she was able to reunite with her daughter when Aira hugged her which pretty much implies that her daughter is already dead. A very heartbreakingly beautiful episode
18:05 so as far as Mickey saying the demons in DS were kinda shitty people that got turned into demons and ended up even more shitty things, whereas the spirits of Dandadan are more innocent souls trying to do right the wrong they did but obviously through shitty acts.

HARDER. in sub 😭idk the sub VAs are just so good for this show, their emotions and performances are amazing. Also...idk to me it feels like they pay attention more in sub cuz they have to read and actually pay attention not just crack jokes throughout the whole episode...
When i read the manga i always thought/ felt the daughter's organs where harvested and she died. Cause thats what they do in these cases regarding mafia money laundering if youre unable to pay

And ripping this kind of zip off her hands would also be extremely painful - if you just use brutal phisycal force on this plastic thing, you can just simply hurt yourself very bad, and she didn't really have a moment to even try it, so
No doubts that Momo can actually rip zips and destroy things, but in this case it was kinda the most unsafe thing to do
@@eugenetrue3574 I have some experience in breaking zip ties on my wrists and I can assure you it's not that painful
Looking for a in-universe explanation is kinda futile, the plot demanded her to be tied up and that's fine
@@Ejay669 This is why i get all bent out of shape when they call older series they used to react to like demonslayer flawed and call out things. They would never do that for one piece but would for bleach, they pick like most the most loved series and they all have their issues in reality but they forget the bad or times they were bored in naruto but harp on about bleach being slow for example.
They forget demonslayer had tons of flashbacks that werent just whatever but explained a character's ideology for the moment. I like the dandadan one but it was a heavy handed sad story you can place in any series at any time for anyone's backstory it didnt carefuly weave right into the moment (well scratc that it did) but all im saying is demonslayer isnt any worst for how it does it. Nor is frieren with their short hey enjoy life's moments back to the story or anything else etc.
It's all matter of taste and dadadan's one was great just think they take that limited rememberence and just go with whoever states one thing beats another. Like im the type if you say whats the best anime it's tuff they all have their features and are hard to compare. All doing something different, now if i forgot anything i havent watched in 3 weeks i'd just go...my hero...dadadan, kenshin, i only just watched those and got recency bias lol. hence bad is all im saying.
My husband lost her mother when he was 18 so this episode hit him in the feels he and his sisters were raised by her with no support working trough her bones for them till she got sick with cancer and passed away 😢 she sounded like a great woman may her rest in peace
One of the things that upsets me so much about this episode is when Silkie was talking about how bad of a mom she was, even tho she was the best in a situation like hers. She felt so guilty even tho she gave everything for her daughter

Expected you guys to be muted. Now I'm disappointed.
When people realize dandadans genre is gut puncher
The direction this episode was amazing, I actually felt the urgency of the mother wanting to get back up.
@@miragecrow4102 Okay didnt know thanks. Sad story then. I wonder if the author clarified what happen later. Seems 4 or 5 whatever she was is nuts
@@nichescenes research junko furata and then tell me if the yakuza aren't bad.
Love the tienes for these reactions 😂😂 Keep it up editor 🙌

Acrobatic silky's lines include words that were popular in the 1990s, so it may be during that period that he transformed from human to monstrous.
悪魔と妖怪は全くの別物です。日本には悪魔という概念は無い。悪魔は西洋の宗教文化で存在する物。悪魔が登場する物語では西洋の文化のテイストを借りて作ってるという認識。
This is why this manga is so popular
It's what it does best.
Suraj you killing the mood with your jokes everywhere and Mickey i cannot stand you in a million!
Both of you
The show doesn't make it as explicit as the manga, those guys were moneylenders who went to get what they owed, and when it wasn't enough they took their daughter, it's not known if it was to sell her or sell their orgones but what is understood is that she died, Sliky lost everything, her only purpose of doing everything and continuing, that's why she decides to do one last dance on the roof of a building, ending with a jump that ended her life (the sound you hear is her fall).
Why is Mickey Mouse still here? Didn't he leave? Bro ruined parts of the reaction by distracting the others from actually watching.

In the manga she appears next to the mother in the panel with the phrase "let them go to a kinder world" so she most likely was a victim of organ trafficking.

This episode was the equivalent of Tanjiro seeing the backstory after killing a demon in demon slayer
Acrobatic silky's child's fate is after being brought in, debt collectors sell her daughter organs to pay off her mother's debt, so acrobatic silky didn't know that her daughter was dead too
And only after the acro lady sacrificed herself to save Aira and then Aira Embraced her did she meet her daughter in the afterlife. That's what happen in the manga

its crazy that this beautiful scene where she was dancing ...was she dancing on a building and jumping of to her death.

Because the normies are privileged and they are not the smartest people
The background of the story is set in Japan in the 1970s and 1980s.

Perhaps this is a mistranslation, but you know this story takes place in the modern day, right? Smartphones didn’t exist that long ago.

I like the effort put in to make this uncomfortable
