A daughter who lost her mother gets to say all the words she never got to say to her, and the spirit of a mother who lost her daughter gets to hear those words and find peace in her next life. Each other's solace, at the end of all things.
The first person POV perspective was haunting, you could feel the mother's frantic panic and anxiety, it felt like you were there, plus the rooftop scene was beautifully tragic. This was a masterpiece of direction, animation and the music in Dandadan has been flawless. Episode 4 & Episode 7 have been the highlight of the show so far and probably the controversial Episode 1😅 10/10 episode, probably contender for episode of the year
You're one of the few reactors that caught on to acrobatic silky's death, on the rooftop. You can tell you are a veteran to manga story telling and anime, years of experience. Lol Heard it was a sensitive panel { the panel for this in the manga is in volume 3 pgs 46-49} for it to be animated and aired in Japan so that's why it was very implied but not made obvious (but you know specially with the sound effects at the end of her dance). As a manga reader this is just the beginning. People say it's peak, don't know what's coming. I say they are not prepared for what's going to come in the next couple of seasons.
Small children are said to be able to see things that adults can't. So a 3 year old Aira seeing spirits is pretty much an acceptable thing, especially after her mother dying and Aira trying to reconnect with her mother

To be fair to Turbo Granny, her downplaying what was happening to Silky might have been her way of trying to alleviate the burden of guilt Momo was feeling at that moment.
I personally thought that ManekiBaba wasn’t just talking to our MCs but more to AcroSilky and Aira. 20:11 SPOILERS, Turbo granny will not get a CAT! Not in the main story line. 😂 All those turbo granny’s moment with cat in ED are actually filler between chapters in manga. Also, in one of a filler chapter, Turbo granny is trying to hide from MoMo’s granny that she was secretly trying to raise this grey little kitten under MoMo’s granny house with human food, MoMo’s granny followed and found it out and bought cat food for her. Turbo granny asked if the cat food is more expensive than the human food, but MoMo’s granny replied, yeah, the inflation is serious but human food is harmful for cat. So, Turbo Granny is not mean as you thought, just like the scene in this episode that she said mean things when Silky was going to vanish, but if you look properly, Aira was in the shot, Turbo Granny purposely saying that to remind Aira that she needs to do something to make Silky able to Rest In Peace. Turbo Granny is just a tsundere. Mean and cold outside, warm and lovely inside.
@ I know, but it’s barely mentioned in the manga and some people might not even know or remember her true name. Even the name “Dodoria” is mentioned even more than “Seiko” in the manga.
I think I've watched this episode through react channels more than any of the others so far just because of the high watermark it set for dramatic episodes, for any episodes really. It's been days and that flashback still gets me every single time, even as a reader of the manga.

I look forward to your reactions hopefully we get the next soon!
The manga shows the mother and daughter reunited when Silky fades away. The child most likely died shortly after the kidnapping, which, as grousome as it sounds, was probably the more comforting outcome.
Turbo Granny sounded crass, but she was encouraging Aira to give silky a proper send off. She cares, probably, more than any of them, especially for her fellow women.
got traumatized by rings of power dialogue... momo tp okarun"wait stop... please" if this was written by the west, it would probably expositioned to death.
You are one of the FEW reactors that get that suicide scene right. Watch the hair, the city lights moving faster, the sound. I think it was too subtle for the general public. 😅
I don't want to spoil anything, but consider how love plays a part in the show. Not just between the humans, but between them all. A tip is how Acro-silke is driven by self-hatred/loathing and the aliens have no individuality And great reaction ❤
Great reaction lol also refreshing bc you dissect everything wo reading the manga, like the S word. The video avoids that topic and makes it seem that she died from blood loss. either way good job.
What happened to her kid is shown in the manga, I wish they put it in the episode. Basically she reunites with her kid in the afterlife. Which does imply that, at the very least, the kid wasn't sold into something horrific.

Good news (as far as this can be called good news), Acro Silky did manage to pass on and go to heaven. SPOILERS!!! Later on , Aira and the gang get into trouble like always, and she transforms much like Okarun does. Okarun and Momo comment that she looks like Acro Silky and is using her powers. They remember Acro Silky! Meaning she didn't vanish into the void and completely forgotten. Aira's action at the end of this episode saved Acro Silky.
Please don't gaslight children the way Aira's father did to her about her mother dying. Dude tells Aira she's going to meet her mom again in the future then wonders why she is struggling to come to terms with her being gone.
Thats pretty ignorant of you to say. Maybe you just dont understand just how hard it is for a father to tell their child that their mother is gone. You should take into account his own grief, and how hard that conversation is for a parent to have with their child. Its extremely unfair to say he was ‘gaslighting’ her.
@@rewtytewty8258 Nobody is saying that it's easy but lying to your child when a family member dies is inherently harmful and doesn't protect them the way you think it does.
