When I watched this episode and it went from her running to her spirit dancing on the water under the sky... broken. Also that flashback animation with the spin... so wonderfully done.
Tha was not her spirit... tha was her doing a final dance... from the top of buliding.... jumping to... well you get the picture. Thas what tha loud "thud" is at tye end
I read this and the music and animation really add to the gyt wrench. I'll say, though, in the manga, it is much clearer how the mom turned into a spirit. And seeing that is heartbreaking

funniest part, this is probably only top 3 mor hearthbreaking backstories in Dandadan, i dont think we will get to the others this season but thats what is in the future so enjoy the dick jokes and romance plots while you can

The entire show is about balls. So, they know exactly how to put their foot through the screen to kick you in yours.
This episode has such a primal sadness/tragedy to it that just shakes you to your core, its absolutely unreal.
In the manga at the end Acro Silky meets up with her daughter in the after life. Very sad but she does have a happy ending.

No one expected this when the manga chapter came out, and damn it hurt. But they made it even sadder with the adaptation lol
