Love it!! I typically like to build movie model kits, Batmobile, Back To The Future, etc. I hadn’t really thought about building a 4x4 mud truck, Until now!! Great job!
Looks great! One bit of constructive criticism, when doing windshield wiper marks on the windshield, bring the passenger side over further so it overlaps the driver's side. Should be 2 arches on the top and a small triangle at the bottom that doesn't get cleaned. Great looking truck! Love realistic models better than "out of the box" ones.
Great job. Always looking forward to your builds. You seem to be getting better from build to build. Thank you for all the tips and info very appreciated.
You know you're having fun when the mud builds up on your mirrors. ha I mixed craft paint with thinned body putty to simulate built up mud. Great video as always.
I like to watch ur videos from my research/ purchasing Dept. (computer) then head to assembly Dept. (desk) my paint dept.(other desk) is alway looking for new paint ideas. Tks Mattew
I really enjoyed watching the weathering process on this one. It was funny that I was thinking your were like Bob Ross painting the mud...then you said it. 😆 I agreed with your philosophy on weathered and dirty builds. I’m currently doing one myself. The windshield wiper marks are perfect. Really really nice!
I was a big fan of the 1/16th scale version. I used to put the axles from my 18 wheel 1/25 kits onto the 84 Bronco 1/25 scale kits then steal the tires and axles from old Tonka toys and make it so all my monster truck's had working wheels with realistic suspension! That was over thirty year's ago😀 right around the time monster truck pulling became a sport! I always get this feeling of being cheated as a kid when I see the kits today! Back in the day you only had thebase model's of production cars or racing cars and utility vehicles unlike today's kits of every style and shape!
Thanks for the tips on the build I got that same truck to do my FIRST build. Got that truck cuz that’s my dream truck so got it to build it to how I would make it if I got a real one. Definitely gunna be watching ur videos to learn more on builds and TIPS.
First I'd like to say awesome work man I've got this kit in my stash and been needing to get it done I think you just gave me the ambition ! here's a little technique that you might want to try for the rust is using real rust powder you take a steel wool pad and soak it in white vinegar and a little bit of bleach it'll start to dissolve empty the rust-goo onto a coffee filter and let dry for a couple days and..... tada.... you will have rust powder simply apply with a little bit of water sprinkle the dust on their let dry then clear coat it gives you rust with an actual rust texture ! I wish TH-cam allowed viewers to post pictures I have a old Rat Rod dually truck that I did a lot of scratch building on and use this technique.
"Whatsa matter wit you, boy?... you expect Marylou to climb on up in'nere all dolled up in her flower top & clean jeans with a big ol smile and wet kiss? Why don't you visit a car wash before the mud hardens between your ears, boy!"... (Kudos, man - looks just like the fun we all had)
Love ur intro of collection built ups and the stash some awsome stuff i never seen b4 great job on this build truck is awsome keep on building buddy appreciate the time and efforts we all put into our builds nice to be lwt know what they our viewers think i really think u done this justice looks great 👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐5out5 keith
Now that's a great job of weathering it looks just like my 1980 chevy short bed after we went mud bogging. You did a great job on the windshield of smearing the mud after the wipers made a pass or two. That small block 350 looked awesome. I have never weathered any of my models, but I have been watching a lot of videos and I think I'm going to try it out. Do you build any semi tractors? I would like to watch a video of you building a big rig. If you don't mind me asking how long have you been building models? I started when I was nine years old, I'm sixty now and still enjoy building these kits. I just bought AMTS low boy trailer and bulldozer kit over 500 parts in that one. I think that would be a good one to dirty up some. Well keep up the great videos and happy building. I enjoy your channel.
I built when i was a kid until about 14 and picked it back up at about 41. I've got a few semi kits but haven't built one yet. Thanks for watching the video!👍🏻👍🏻 Matthew
Regarding ollies I have the ollies app where they send me new advertisement circular, that's how I found out. They mention that they bought 7.5 million dollars worth of models so keep an eye out. Take care and good luck
Weird question do you by any chance have a video or a list or can forward a link that show the names of each part in this kit? I just bought the kit to make with my kids and I have no knowledge besides looking at the number references but would love to know the names to each part. I’ll keep looking on Google. Hopefully I find something but wanted to ask someone knowledgeable.
very cool build😀 looks nice mudded out
You are the Bob Ross of model cars! Looks great!
Just happy accidents!!👍🏻👍🏻 Alright!!

Amazing job the only thing i see wrong is you didn't touch the inside wheel wells
Yeah Anthony once I glued the tires on I realized that I hadn't done the wheel wells.

Yes sir turned out sweet
Thanks Jay!!👍👍
If you live near an Ollie's, they just got a bunch of great models in, Ollie's good stuff cheap.
Hmmmm I checked the two Ollies closet to me two days ago not a model one at either location maybe I'll check back this week.
I think it just depends on who they bought out as far as lots go. I don't believe every store has the same stuff.
I have these model and I can’t put the wheels on how do you do that
I'm building this kit now.How did you attach the rear bumper? Not a lot of contact area.
Yeah you're right. It didn't align properly either. I just used super glue and attached it the best I could to the frame. Good luck!!👍👍
@@modelcarvideos5829 This kit is proving to be a bit turdish at times. Nice job on yours.
Typical MPC fashion!!🤣🤣
@@modelcarvideos5829 Yup!
Regarding ollies I have the ollies app where they send me new advertisement circular, that's how I found out. They mention that they bought 7.5 million dollars worth of models so keep an eye out. Take care and good luck
What did you use for your plug wires?
32awg wire.
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thanks!

Ooo, that's something I doubt exists. I don't have another kit like this I don't think but if I do I'll try to help
