Another GREAT build. I love the old MPC kits, and your version of Sod Buster is excellent. I like the color and the decals on the side of the body it's a nice truck to display. Love the show, I always look forward to seeing what's up next, great revues not only on model kits but tools and equipment as well.
I bought one Didnt start it yet Planning to get a few more I remember getting the old sodbuster many years ago Must have had 6-7 back then This redo Brings back memories Wish they bring back the GMC version too
Great looking build. Love the detail you put into this build. Square body trucks always build into awesome looking models. The kit looks pretty much like a straightforward build. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Love the way you did this truck ! I think I would have done mine a lot like this but maybe painted a different color but that’s what you should do right build it your way right . Love the video’s always.
I got it for $500 all it needed was a front yoke for the four-wheel drive 41 inch glass packs dual exhaust headers I think I had two and a half inch pipes Chrome tips behind the tires.
another great build----have an original issue---will get a couple of these anyway----wish they would bring back the two wheel drive 76(77?) version----have a couple of "glue bombs" from Fleabay and one unbuilt kit I just happened to stumble across just after it was listed----
The desert dog PCs was not a very high production tire. We sold them thru our jeep dealership. Recently I found a brand new one in an old warehouse of ours. I making a wall clock out of it.
It looks great. I like the videos and the reviews of the kits. I have the "Deserted" black GMC truck . If this truck was painted blue and silver stripes, would it not look like the truck from CHiPS, driven by John Baker? Just my opinion. I like the extra optional parts also, great for other projects. Have fun and keep building.
I had an actual 1977 Scottsdale Stepside four-wheel-drive with 350 engine with about 450 horsepower headers four-barrel no emissions naturally aspirated. if I remember correctly mine was a GMC, I love that truck so much. I would do anything to get it back well🤔 not anything--but it was badass😀
I noticed that the box art has no back bumper. I would do that too . My brother has an 84 and an 87 and he put roll pans on them both. Those bumpers are ugly. Great build I enjoyed watching you build all the square body trucks.👍👍🇨🇦
What is the name of the western instrumental tune with the galloping sound, guitar, and church bell that you play while building? I think it's from spagetti westerns.
I like your videos I watch them everyday I get to learn new stuff
Great video Chris keep em coming, I'll keep watching.
I like how the Inca gold looks like chevy's mustard yellow.
👍👍👍👍
Nice 👍 like the Chevy Pick-ups...thanks for sharing
white pens and markers sure are a wonderful thing to have now days for model building. Lettering use to really suck with a brush!
Very nicely done Chevy Step side! That metallic Gold looks awesome!

Just plain awesome
Hi Chris, great job with this kit. Love the color combo and decals. Looking forward to getting a copy of this kit. Enjoyable review as always.
Really nice job Chris! Love your choices of colors. Nice kit! Thanks for the review.
Great job Chris, I just picked up a couple of these Sod Busters from my local hobby shop and will start building it soon.
That's a sharp looking little pickup. Like the colors you used.
I bought one
Didnt start it yet
Planning to get a few more
I remember getting the old sodbuster many years ago

Love how the truck turned out
Very nice build cool truck 😊
As awesome as always Chris looks great 👍 👌 an you always make it look so eazy
HPI GUY is the best model kit channel on TH-cam 👍👍🤩💪⚡
Cool! I built the original out of my stash a year or two ago. It's a great kit.

Your simple yet effective builds no doubt give more retentive builders fits!
LOL, I hope they do. :)
Nice build as always! Bought the re-issue few weeks ago. Still have the original kit sealed in storage.
I love those Desert Dogs!!

That's a great-looking model and you're right bucket seats are pretty rare for these trucks they usually have like a bench-style seat
They are remaking these??? Cool! I still have my original one from the 80s. I used the body on a RC Xmods truck chassis.
Very nice job!, most definitely needs a couple of these. I can't wait to see what you do when you get the C1500 Silverado kit
Great model for fun...minus the hideous decal designs. I'll certainly be doing up two tone or custom print decals on mine.
I got it for $500 all it needed was a front yoke for the four-wheel drive 41 inch glass packs dual exhaust headers I think I had two and a half inch pipes Chrome tips behind the tires.
I'm left handed too! :)

PCV stood for pickup/camper/van
Did I miss where the body and bed were shown off out of the box? I couldn't find that part of the video during the unboxing segment.
Cool video, looking good like to find one of Chuck Norris,GMC step side , Invasion USA truck
Chris. Any chance you know where I can get models of the new style freight liner and old models of panel trucks. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Whear do you put all your models?

Yes, with a GMC grill and the stripe package it should be his truck.
You sound to have an extra bit of enthusiasm this time..!!!
Where do you get them from I would to build some
Those were such good looking trucks. The huge blocky looking things they sell now don't even come close in style.

My 3 square bodies 84 85 and 86 all had the bench seat great for a nap lol
Interesting that the dash isn’t correct for 1981. The kit has a 73-80 dash in it
Awesome job! I need that big brush guard for my 72 chevy truck model!
That's a sick kit! Does tamiya make a three wheeler atv Honda for the bed ?
The 78 dodge I built comes with a scooter it would look great in any truck bed you choose

Do they make a square body two wheel drive kit?

What is with the Mexican music??????
man whats with the lines over my comments???? this the second one----
No idea but I know neither me or YT is doing it because your comments aren't sitting in my moderation folder to be looked at.
Why does yellow paint smell like banana 🍌
What about that Coca-Cola model AMT
Great build very nice looking truck
