Reissues are turning vintage, nearly 30 years old. Time is passing.
The older you get the faster time goes by. My grandma told me that as a child , she’s right almost 50 in a blink of an eye

DANG MICHAEL! You get better every show, man I wish you could do some national shows with someone. Why don't you come to South Dakota next year at Sturgis and represent for Norm's they'd love ya. Hey maybe do a raffle with a guitar and give the proceeds to "The Mid-night Mission" that crowd would eat that up because they always stand tall for a good cause. Ask Norm to think about it, because sooner or later Norm has to expand to the East Coast and get Todd back on board and I'm sure he's also going to need a store in the Mid-west so he can really claim he's nation wide. Just some thoughts, just some thoughts on how to spread the love around.

If gibson from the early 90's , 91...92..are becoming reissues now. I'll feel fortunate to own a 92 black sg jr. w\ a p90 and short scale neck. And a sunburst flying V, made in 91'. Both U.S. made...Very cool vid..that SG is awesome \m/

I have the same guitar .. but a 1967. Someone painted it flat black even over the pickups, neck and bridge.!!. I sent it back to Gibson to refinish it in Ivory 7 years ago. It is just starting to yellow..!!!

If you check out some of the videos of Mary Ford and Les Paul, she plays a gorgeous one in similar color, but I think gold plated pickups. I kind of think that was to piss Les off since Gibaon apparently issued it as a Les Paul and he disliked it intensely stating that the sharpish twin cutaways could hurt someone. He threatened to leave Gibson and not endorse it as a Les Paul. They were going through a divorce or had just finished divorcing each other and that may (or may not) have been her way of getting back at him. Just what I've read in several sources.
Personally I think my '77 mahogany SG is gorgeous and has a great sound when other people play it, lol!
@@dukeford8893 I can't disagree with any of that. I think he mellowed in his elder years, but then I didn't know him. I do know there was a LOT of contentiousness with the divorce and contract renewal. Do you know of any good documented biographies of both Les Paul & Mary Ford and does that Ford in your last name mean you're related?

Sounds familiar but I've got no idea. Don't think its Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. Sounded more like Van Halen to me.

That's the only place a neck pickup sounds good distorted 10th fret and up.
Why ppl play rhythm in the neck position boggles my mind lol

So much distortion you can't tell which position the switch is in. I never trust a guitar I don't play unplugged first, clean amp second.
That trashy tone and reverb combo is why I bought my SG.
