Sweet sounding guitar & Lemmo never disappoints. Wish I played half as good as him. Always look forward to guitar of the day. Mainly to hear him play. The guitars are a bonus. Lots of respect for Mr Lemmo's talent. A great musician for sure.
I remember my first band - I was the bassist. The 2 guitar players had a ' 74 LP Standard and a '67 SG. Both great guitars, but there was something about that SG that was pure sonic magic. I've always said this about the big 3: the Strat hits you like shimmering waves on a beach, the LP like a sledge hammer through a brick wall, and the SG can cut you up like a razor. Oh well...! Great playing Sir Lemmo, as usual.
Lemmo, you're playing always inspires me to keep getting better every day! Keep rocking it! Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll be able to rep a Norman's T shirt in Ohio :)

That was the coolest version of Planet Caravan I ever heard besides the original. Also the way that you played Riders on the Storm was really freaking cool man you have really tasty Rhythm chops

Awesome SG! Great job, as always, Lemmo! I finally bought my first Gibson in 2021 and it’s amazing. The only thing missing… a Norman’s Rare Guitar shirt.
Gibson SG! I had a 1965 SG Standard back in the day... best guitar I ever owned.
I got that model but mine is from around 1999-2000. Came with the vibrola back then, which was rare. It’s so resonant acoustically; rings like a bell. Mine has a larger headstock; I believe Derek Trucks owned and used several of them just like mine and his signature model was based on it.
I’ve always dug SGs. Got my first one new, a Standard, in 1967. It wouldn’t stay in tune for anything-I didn’t know about lubricating the bridge saddles and the nut back then-so I kept the bar pointed toward the back and just never used it. I was a Clapton disciple back then, and he never used it either!
I was interested in this guitar before, but for the first time, a Lemmo video has me wanting a guitar less. I've never heard him play this out of tune, and he barely grazed the Maestro. They really do have the reputation for a reason.
Tone deaf… I have near perfect pitch. You do not.

Gibson best Sg right now is the standard Tribute Sg.. paid $1,300 for it this model reminds me of the old School Sgs of the late 1960's and early 70's..
Gibson should have called the SG the Mary Ford 😏
Went in and tried to do a trade. I brought in a brand new rickenbacker 12 c 63, a 60s vox bobcat for this SG They said they needed an additional $500 to do the trade 😂
Great video. Most of the older ones players switched to a hard tail stop piece because of tuning issues, even Derek Trucks switched his. The vibrola tail piece has the coolest look though. I have a Custom Shop Reissue with the bumblebee pickups that sound amazing. When I bought it the vibrola model was $150.00 more than the stop tail piece but on resale now I think they list for about $450.00 more. Some guys buy the extended tail piece and install it just for the looks but use the stop tail piece for the tuning stability.
I have the same guitar and mine has zero problems staying in tune. It’s one of my favorite guitars to play live. I guess I just got lucky.

Just bugs me that who is spec’ing these out at Gibson still chooses to use flat thumb wheels for the abr-1 to sit on. With tremolo guitars Gibson used to use domed thumbwheels that allowed the bridge to rock back and forth aiding in tuning.
Leading into the pandemic I was sorely tempted to get an SG in this cherry finish with a stop bar in lieu of the Maestro system. Changed my mind though, since (as I have said multiple times below uploads from The Trogly's Guitar show) I'm not that big a fan of instrument models that are top heavy, and I've already got at least one too many of those.

First tune very mellow and catchy, could have put me into a trance, the second one a rendition of Riders on the Storm a Door’s mega song - an all time fav, and the third, AC/DC is always a winner. Michael can definitely play a guitar that’s for sure.

Agree. I respect Mark Agnesi & enjoy his show on Gibson exploring collections but it seemed like GOTD was a task to him. A job duty. Lemmo performs & looks like he genuinely enjoys doing it.

I've get same piece of a miracle. My favorite Guitar with great Squier J. Mascis JM (You know, Michael) Gibson sounds like universe talking to you! Special Spirit from 60s and a lot of High as shit smoked music too... only one thing with vibrola, some troubles with Setup a strings, but vibrola works great!

I have a 2020 model of this exact guitar. Always wanted an SG but discovered I don't care for PAF style humbuckers (played Teles for years). Put in some Bare Knuckle Blue Note HB sized P90s and it's just perfect. If you use it for its intended purpose (a little shimmer) the Maestro stays in tune just fine as long as your slots are cut and lubricated properly. Threw on a Creamtone historic wide-bevel pickguard and truss rod cover for good measure... never parting with it.

Me and my family went to California in 2016 when i turned 18 (i live in Sweden). The problem is that i found Norms a couple months after we got home.. and now i sit here without a t-shirt. Next time i will come and get one! ✌️
ALOT of peeps on TH-cam channels posting videos of outstanding guitar playing chops….not a single one of them is a better player than Lemmo on his worst day. Somebody said they wished they were half the player he was…..if he was half the player…he’d be epic

I use to have a “68”. Very cool version of Rider In The Sky.
I own this same guitar! It rips with baritone lights.
Also, the trem on the 2021-2022 productions works way better than the earlier ones.
@@Birbdup Most people inactivated the trem on the originals. They were horrible. These are infinitely better.
If the devil had the talent do play the guitar (doubt it) It would be a red SG
