I started taking lessons on a ‘57 Fender Musicmaster and still have it. I am 75 years old now and still enjoy playing it. My ultimate dream was to have a Strat, but could not afford it then. If I could, it would be worth a fortune now. I just bought a new one last year for my Christmas present. I absolutely am in love with it.
I'm 52 and losing my playing ability to arthritis. I mostly play acoustic now, but I sure miss being able to jam on the electric.

I have to say, Lemmo’s playing really lets these guitars shine like never before. Mark was a good host and played okay, but this cat (Lemmo) is really taking these guitars for a proper spin around the block! This is how you sell a vintage instrument and introduce a whole new generation of players to the most amazing damn addiction on Earth.
Impressive guitar! But what’s more impressive. Is how TH-cam knew how badly I’ve been wanting to be forced to watch 2 TWO 2 advertisements before every video!! More impressive than that!! Is how during this 14 minute video it’s been interrupted with three more advertisements. For a total of five times during a guitar video. Some asshole had to stick their nose in and try to sell me something. WTF!! Oh wait!! Two more at the end of the video

Anyone who's played a 7.25" radius before knows that it's tough to shred. He was banging out van halen on it. Eddie played a 12" radius Kramer.
For what it is worth I have an older tele with a 7.25 radius. I also have a mexican strat that came with a 12' radius neck and I swapped it out for a 7.25 neck. To be fair I am no Van Halen but I find the feel of the older necks to be much more comfortable than the so called "modern" 9.5. Of course everyone likes something different and necks are a matter of personal preference. But I will say that Hendrix and Clapton both played strats with 7.25 necks and it never seemed to bother them. But I guess when you can play like those guys it really doesn't matter.
If you’re having problems with a 7.25” neck, then it’s because the strings are too low and neck relief too straight.
You can tell he really likes this guitar. Who wouldn't? It sounds great and showcased Lemmo's playing, 14 minutes worth! Just watched it again, very good.

Hi GuitarlosCarlos - Fender started producing three tone strats in April 58, not 56. The last strats with two tone bodies were dated Jan 58, so the guitar in the video should have a Jan 58 body date. I have never seen a strat body or neck dated Feb 58 or March 58 , and I don't think there were working on strats those months. Could have been working on the Jazzmaster then! In April 58, they started producing the new three tone body along with new necks for them - most (maybe all) April 58 three tone bodies have an April 58 neck on them. Back to the guitar in the video - I thought they changed to the new neck carve in April 58 but maybe they changed in Jan 58. Or it is an April 58 neck on a Jan 58 body.

I was listening and fascinating maple strats but still looking for all in one. 58 style strat this is it for my taste, so much original and uncommon, almost 59 but still connected to 54. Playing shows how universal this guitar can be.Bravo

Not usually a fan of 2 tone burst, but it works with the maple board and the white guard... Someone took good care to keep this axe away from smoke and sun light or all that white plastic would be much more yellow.

I think when it comes to a strat a lot of people like that 1st and 2nd pickup postion with a bit of a twang. But I just naturally love the 4th and 5th, I can’t help but love it on these old strats, so muff-ly so nice
