He makes me want to make time to be good to myself despite my crammed schedule. I have done it with afternoon tea which would make my British mother and grandmother very pleased! Sometimes less fancy than others, but it is a DEFINITE in my life now. Thank you Kevin.
What a good friend Victoria is to join you with the door, it was probably a lot more fun this way! Thank you so much for all the insights in your daily life :) I love it.
I think those fritters would be amazing at Christmas. They look delicious. Your dog Avery is always by your side, and seems so well behaved. She must love you very much.
The grounds around your home are simply lovely! What a heavenly place to pass extraordinary yet simple days… to me, that is true happiness and beauty. What a wealth of Blessings!🥰💐
My father lived in a Victorian house. The front door faced the south & was in desperate need of attention, also. One spring morning, he confined the pets before removing the door. It was sanded down on both sides. Primed and filled in cracks, etc. For the exterior side, he chose a lovely red shade with low gloss enamel to protect it from harsh winter weather. The interior side, he simply varnished it. Ten years later, the door looked like it was freshly done! Had to sell it because his partner died & he couldn't face remaining there.
The front doors look great! Was hoping you were going to polish the wonderful doorknobs & backplates to shine against the beautiful antique mahogany. Your gardens always amazes me. Fritters are my weakness and yours look real good, cheers!!
Dear Kevin, thank you very much for this fantastic video with restoring the Victorian doors, starting the cleaning up your gardenproject . The fritters look so good and the flower arrangement too 🧡💛💚
Dear Kevin thank you for another beautiful calming episode. I love your very laid back style.Everybody should have a friend like you and Victoria xx Your friend from Australia
SHOULD THE WOOD HAVE BEEN APPLIED WITH SOME KIND OF ××OIL××, SUCH AS MINERAL OIL OR SOME OTHER TYPE OF OIL AND ALLOWED TO SET FOR 24 HOURS. THEN RE-STAINED. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MY PROCESS, BUT THEN I HAVEN'T HAD TO WORRY ABOUT MY "APARTMENT" DOORS??? GOOD JOB, KEVIN AND FRIEND!
It was so satisfying to see the old wood of the beautiful front doors literally drinking up the urethane stain! Good on you and your friend tackling that job. Now I’m hungry for Apple fritters too! 😁💖😁
After a busy morning in MY kitchen, it is sheer delight to spend an hour with you as you delve into YOUR various projects. I must try the apple fritters and I know a neighbor who would love some, too. Many thanks, Kevin for the enjoyment we share. 🍎
Thanks for sharing your days , l enjoy just being a small part of your community on line. Always leave feeling better after spending time in a simple life and happy home. Wishing you many more years filled with happiness Chris ❤️
Dear Kevin - you always brighten my day inviting us all into your beautiful home & sharing the many chores you do!! - the Apple Fritters you made looked so delicious - when you sat at your parlor table & took a bit of your Apple Fritter - I could hear the crunch of the bite - oh Kevin I was literally drooling haha!! - what a great save finding more peppers in your lovely garden - I notice when you are out in the garden Avery is never far away - what a gorgeous doggy - you generate much happiness through your lovely videos - I appreciate all you say & do - you uplift the soul.
Nice to see the handsom old doors refreshed in time for winter. The garden continues to provide even during clean up. Sauteing the apples first is great, much nicer than usung raw apples in the fritters; plus, the crunch could be heard. Lovely episode on a Sunday morning.❤
The smell of apple fritters reminds me of making them for every camper at summer camp. The line was long as each happy camper got a freshly deep fried fritter on their plate, hot out of the oil. A dusting of powdered sugar on top. 😋
You and Victoria did a wonderful job on those doors! What an amazing friend she is! Thank you again for letting us spend part of your day with you. The fritters look delicious, and the flowers are so pretty! What an awesome way to treat yourself for all that work! My morning was spent making another batch of beauty berry jelly. Next on my list is grocery shopping and maybe picking up some flowers. I hope the rest of your day is amazing!
Absolutely delightful! I haven’t thought about Apple fritters in ages & I do believe they will soon be making an appearance in my kitchen. As always, thanks so much for your lovely videos. Best to you & Mr. Fox, as well as the pets.
Saludos Lizette.Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Kevin for your recipes and the great lessons that you give about the garden. The door looks very wonderful . Good Job.
Your antique front doors look gorgeous after the restoration! Lots of elbow grease and tedious work, but so worth the end result! If you don't already have one, I would suggest that a gorilla cart would be very useful for you with your various gardens for harvesting and cleaning out. Very durable and useful tool for the garden. Can't get over how well your celery grows! I love celery and my favourite part are the leaves! Delish chopped up to add to a salad. I can't believe as I kid in the 50's we cut the leafy parts off and threw them in the garbage!! Really enjoyed this video, as I do them all. Thanks to you and Lisette for all your hard work! ~M~
What an amazing harvest of peppers! I love to freeze food in the food saver. The foods last a lot longer when frozen this way…plus it’s kind of a fun process!
I love your videos, they remind me of the many summers I spent in Hudson, New York at my aunt’s house. Although I live in Maryland, the Hudson Valley is near and dear to my heart.
Dear Kevin, It was a special pleasure again to watch your video. A little more for me this time as I'm in the hospital waiting for my operation. I'll make the apple fritters when I'm allowed again. They look so delicious. And the front door turned out beautifully!
Thank you for sharing your very productive weekend with us. I also love the scent of apples cooking. I read somewhere that if you cook your apples gently before filling a pie you avoid the space on top of the crust when the pie cooks down. I am amazed how your garden keeps on giving so many harvests. Oh those peppers, I can see them filled and baked Do you have a recipe for stuffed peppers? Lastly I would like to say you are truly blessed to have a friend like Victoria. Love to all from Florida.
The doors look absolutely beautiful, Kevin! I am sure the job was made easier with the two of you how lovely of her to help… The apple fritters look very delicious. I cannot wait to try them. Thank you once again for a wonderful calming relaxing visit with you. 👨🍳🎃🍁❤️🥂
Hi! As I watched you today, I am making AppleButter. 🍎 We love dipping our Fritters in the AppleButter. Have a wonderful day, and thank you for all your videos that always brighten up my day. 😊
I love the job you and Victoria did with the doors. It turned out beautifully. I think I will give the apple fritters a try for dessert this evening. I love seeing the fur babies and you certainly have done very well with your garden this year. Being organized pays off. You inspire me to do it properly. I look forward to your next video.
The doors look so much better. Very kind of Victoria to help with this project. Your garden just keeps on giving. Peppers and celery looked amazing. I loved everything from flowers to fritters. Thanks Kevin🍁🍂🧡🇨🇦
Hi Kevin, glad to see you're still plugging along with your wonderfully calm channel. I have not stopped by in a while, I've been recovering from surgery. Just what I needed as I return to normalcy.. Many blessings..
Perfect video for this Sunday. What a beautiful area you live in as I enjoy your backyard and my favorite a ride to town. Gorgeous flowers to choose from. Thank you.
I look forward to making these fritters as they are my husband’s favorite. Thank you for this recipe. Enjoyed all of this Sunday’s video. Aloha from Tennessee.
I used to use a deep fryer for everything, but I've become comfortable pan frying as you did... even for battered fish. With regard to the front doors.... if it was my old house, I would likely have painted them black. All the same, they certainly look much improved with what you did.
Thank you dear Kevin for making these amazing videos❤ You helped me propagate the baby gem boxwood 7 years ago. We just came back from living in Germany, and I am very excited to start planning my boxwood project in the new house in Mount Vernon, Virginia. I always enjoy watching your videos so much. Thank you!!! Ohh..I love your Royal Albert Tea set❤
I love spending time with you as well . Your lifestyle reminds me of times at my parent's farm in Pennsylvania. My mother loved to garden and I love to cook so we had some spectacular times. Watching you brings back wonderful memories of good times. ❤
As usual, you amaze me as to what you accomplish in one day! The flower arrangement was one of the best ones that you’ve made, love the colors that you picked. Just wondering if you ever have a day that you just read, relax play the piano and enjoy your pets.?
Oh that floral bouquet had my favorite colors. I also loved the fillers you purchased at the store. They were amazing. I thought I didn't like apple fritters, but watching you has convinced me to try them! Oh how I wish I had a garden. All of the healthy fresh food you have!
Kevin, those apple fritters look so delicious. I think I’m gonna make them too.. the front door looks wonderful,, a great job you and your friend did. I think you’re an exceptional gardener.
Avery loves being with her daddy😊...I love the flower store and their puppy that lives there🥰 Apple fritters are my go to pastery...yum. they look easy enough which could be a problem to my waistline 😂. I still think you'd love going to a flower arrangement class. I know i loved the one i went to years ago. Goodness...you got lots of peppers from the clean up😮!!! Earl grey is one of my favorite teas😊. Have a good week❤
Your doors look magnificent - and your friend Victoria is a great friend! Apple Fritters are a wonderful reward for such hard work! - I will totally be trying this recipe!
I love this recipe and you inspired me to make these too! Kevin, you are so positive, so lovely to spend time with! You inspire, lift, motivate, educate and calm! Thank you!
Kevin, thank you so much for another relaxing and inspiring video. The Apple fritter recipe reminded me of Sunday morning brunches at an old tavern when my husband and I lived in the northeast. They would serve apple and corn fritters with warm maple syrup, just delicious! Such a great memory!
Just constantly in awe! You put ole’ Martha Stewart to shame and you are much more enjoyable company. With your amazing talent, you are such a humble person! Those thirsty doors look just amazing! Beautiful home and garden!
Still reeling from Kevin’s last frightening Halloween video! I am the kind of friend Victoria is. One time a painted a friends 20 ft tall foyer, (after removing the wallpaper) dining room, huge sunroom, living room and kitchen. She hired another guy and paid him. I was Pro Bono. It took 3 weeks, 6 hours a day.
I see that it's apple season as well as pumpkin season. You're the third person I've seen that has done an apple dish 😁 I like watching your videos because they're so nice and calming. The way they're filmed remind me of shows I would watch on PBS when I was younger. Thank you for your whimsy in the middle of the chaos that is TH-cam ❤
Although you often thank those of us who watch your videos, it really is all our pleasure!!!
Kevin makes me want to drink tea and live a wonderfully calm life....😍

You and your friend did a wonderful job on the doors. So much nicer than painting over like mine, and most everyone I know.
You can make healthy frittata with bell peppers and onions and half and half eggs and egg beaters...
Goodness, your apple fritters look divine. And those Victorian doors look amazing! Happy afternoon, my friend.
Lovely as usual. Just a reminder; dip your scoop in oil before dipping into the batter. It will be clean and tapping the fritters will be easier.

Since flower arrangements make you so happy, why not take a formal arranging course? It's easy and affordable.
