Been looking forward to this video every since you said you were doing a dinner party. Thank you for bringing us along with you and your friends and family.
Oh, yay! A Becky video, cooking for a dinner party! ❤ ETA: OMG! No disappointment there - that was a fantastic dinner! You planned your flavors so well to be harmonious and to complement each other. And your table was so pretty! When you were in the garden, you passed by the cosmos and I thought, "I'd grab those and add them to the eucalyptus - they're just the right size and simplicity" then second guessed myself when you walked on. I was so excited when you ended up with the cosmos! It looked just like I'd imagined it. I should trust my instincts more! Your table looked beautiful with your base of green and cream and the amber votives. Sounds like a wonderful group of friends. It's so nice to have a core circle of people you truly relax with and enjoy yourself.
Becky, you amaze me with your passion and enthusiasm for cooking, knowledge, skills and boundless energy! Thank you for sharing your menu recipes and the process of bringing a beautiful and delicious dinner party together for your friends! You are such an inspiration to me to try new things and to just go for it without hesitation. Kudos to Josh for all that he does and for helping you with the clean up! I always love watching you, Josh and both of your families in the videos!
What I would give to be a friend of yours……this sounds incredible! Not only are you a sweet and good person, you can plant, grow and harvest and cook like no one else!!!!!! Please adopt me!!!!!!! ❤❤❤
The first time I ever had celeriac, it was cooked like a potato and made into a salad like potato salad, onions and mayo. I absolutely loved it!!! This is the first year I grew it, and I am SO looking forward to eating it!! I will definitely try it with your recipe, now. Sounds delicious! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas and recipes! Have a fun dinner party with your friends!!
Becky, that sweater is soooo lovely on you! Also, I've been sharing your older recipes and your channel a lot on Facebook. I really believe in you and your cooking show dream!
Watching this video, as many others I have viewed of yours, makes me wish I lived closer to you . Regarding forgetting to put the potatoes in the oven, sometimes things like that happen for a reason. It allowed all of you to just chill and catch up( possibly give you more time to brainstorm about future gatherings). Thank you for sharing these videos. I especially loved the ending with the dimming of the lights, saying good night. Well done, Becky. 🥰👏👏👏🥰
Hi Becky. I've just started watching and right now you are rendering your bacon. I learned a great hack from Bon Appetite. Cut your bacon up and put it in the pan with a little water. Maybe 2 tblsp or so per pound? I just splash enough in to cover the bottom of the pot, lol. Anyway, the water helps the fat render out more quickly and the bacon just boils in its own fat. You can cook it as crispy as you like in much less time. So, I hope you find this helpful and now I'm going to put you back on play and enjoy the rest of the video! Have a great day. 😊
Julia's Beef Bourguignon has all the fat chunks in it, and bones for seasoning, then she removes it. But yours looks delicious! Good job Becky 👏 What video has the Beef Wellington? Especially the one where you made it for your dad's birthday 🎂 That video was spectacular! ❤❤❤
I'm getting a few freezer meals ready for when I'm down for a few days after an upcoming surgery and thought I'd pass along a little tip. I made your sweet and sour meatballs and I always make a little extra sauce and freeze it and add it to my baked beans, delicious!
Hello from England. One of my daughter in laws started a book club about 10 years ago that turned into a dinner party and has grown from that into a dinner and cocktail night. Once a month they hold their get together and use Bailey's to turn desserts into Wicked desserts. With all the new flavours coming out. Last weekend she got the new Mint chocolate chip one and made adult milkshakes and it is phenomenal. So who ever hosts it has to turn a Baileys into a dessert and a cocktail. My daughter and I have been practicing cocktails we bought one of those machines that mix it up for you. Oh boy I didn't know what day it was never mind what I had drank. I was no good for anything for nearly 40 hours. We went a bit mad. Now next month my other daughter in law is starting her Gin Vodka and Spicy Rum dinner parties. There is something special about having people you love who love food like you do and a bit of fun with the cocktails. I have been very very fortunate in my sons choice of wives we all get on very well and we all watch your channel.
At our family functions…. and at almost every holiday dinner, somebody forgets to heat up their side dish that we find later when getting the desserts together…We always have so much food it is never missed on the day, but greatly enjoyed the day after🌼💕
Love watching you make new meal items. I try to replicate a lot of them. I made the French toast this morning with the pumpkin brioche bread from Trader Joe’s. It was delicious. The best we ever had. I also bought the Maple brioche to try but that will be for another day.
The table looks beautiful. ❤❤❤ everything looked beautiful did a great job and that’s so nice. I remember those days I used to do those things. I’m divorced now by myself my daughter is an adult. My grandchildren are bigger already so I just watched TH-cam. I love watching you..
I am too distractable to have a mandolin in my kitchen. I had one and almost cut the top part of a finger off. I love them, but it's me, not the mandolin. I always learn so much from you, Becky. Thank you.
A beautiful table Becky with delicious food. Love celeryroot, it makes delicious soups, and my favorite is celery and patatomash with a drizzle of truffle oil.🤤 A personal tip, for a good stew or bœuf bourguignon you better leave some fat on the meat, it melts anyhow and gives a better flavor and tender meat 😊
You have such great table scape ideas! Have you considered taking a picture of each completed table & creating an album for each "special meal" along with your menu?
Your table-scape is so beautiful!!!! The bouquets you used are so pretty. I love the color palette you chose. Just a thought, if you were to harvest the rest of the eucalyptus and hang it to dry out, you could use it to make a gorgeous wreath that would last for years.
I would get a hold of the CSA you were part of, and explain the situation. They may have a copy of the recipe they gave you that they included. It’s certainly worth a try
now you know why your mother makes detailed lists. Smart lady. Memories don't improve with age. Everything looks great and I would have liked to join you.
I'd like to recommend the Cole & Mason Derwent Pepper Mill or the Gift Set which includes the matching Salt Mill as well. The pepper mill has 6 grind select settings from fine to coarse and it is an excellent pepper mill. The salt has 3 grind select settings. Available on Amazon in different finishes. Also, America's Test Kitchen's favorite pepper mill. I use mine everyday without fail, it is a wonderful mill and the mechanisim's have a lifetime warranty.
This ALL looks scrumptious, and I think you just provided me with my holiday dinner party menu! But, Becky, please pronounce creme brûlée with a soft e, as if it is spelled crem...❤
My goodness, im taking notes! Looking fwd to more holiday menus where we can get your make ahead /prep tips ! Im have 13 family members coming for Christmas dinner. Could u share a prime rib recipe? Ive never made one. Love your channel!
Hi Becky, I wish I was your neighbor/friend. LOL. I would love to have you cook those amazing meals for me once a month! What a great friend you are. Everything looked so delicious. I am happy that you all had such a beautiful time together. God bless you all.
Becky you are Awesome and so Gracious and your videos make my day. Please Please Please where do you get your Aprons, they are Awesome and I Really need a Good one cause I’m so messy in the kitchen 😊😂 God Bless you and Your Family 🙏🏻
What a fabulous feast. And your dessert choices are the bomb. I was thinking that your creme brulee may have taken a wee bit longer to cook because the fresh/frozen pumpkin is probably a bit more watery than the canned version. You really capture the flavors of fall. Thanks for sharing.
since you grow carrots, another thing to grow would be parsnip. very popular in Ireland mashed carrots and parsnip. (personally I don't like it but my family all do)
Been looking forward to this video every since you said you were doing a dinner party. Thank you for bringing us along with you and your friends and family.
Can I just say I love your life and am living vicariously through you ❤

Happy for the holiday season being upon us! Love your dinner parties 💓
admire your love for cooking
If you crumble a small piece of foil and place it under the lopsided custard cups you could level them out.
The way we ran to her video upload , all in favor , Say I 🙌🏾 😊❤😊
👏🏻🙌👏🏻🥰
In France it’s called Beef bourguignon (borgonyon) delicious comfort food for a autumnal nights

Exciting menu, Becky! Guessing an invite to your table is pretty popular.
In the UK we call celery root…‘celeriac’ 😊
The decorations and the final food presentation looked amazing and delicious. That beef so tender. Thanks Becky for you do.

Your dinner party looked fabulous!! Beautiful floral arrangements!! Love your channel and look forward to seeing more!
I enjoyed this cooking day with you so much! Thank you Becky!! ❤Patsy
You could have used the potato/celery root liquid as part of the stew broth. It has nutrients in it ☺️.
Hello Becky, so excited for this dinner party
You have such great table scape ideas! Have you considered taking a picture of each completed table & creating an album for each "special meal" along with your menu?

A supper-club is a great idea! 👌🏾🥰
