    So happy for Ciccone! Looking good in his build up for the Giro. Super consistent through Tirreno-Adriatico and a second place with third on mountains and 5th on GC and before that it was Comunidad Valencia, with a stage win and the points jersey, 2nd on GC and third in mountains classifications. On fire this season!

He does need to ride away from the other leaders, not seemingly always putting in huge efforts to catch up in the last kilometers due to dropping back earlier on big climbs.

    Roglic and vingegaard are better tactical than pogacar. Odd b c wva so bad w tactics so many times
    Pogacar is better physically tho than roglic and vingegaard. (That goes to his head sometimes tho, same wva.)
    Roglic is looking like now that he wd have outside chance to win tour. But a prob: roglic crashes a lot
    I wd if jumbo director tell 1) roglic 1) we make change of plans: our sports biggest race far and away is tour, you are going to tour2) let’s also race giro, but there you go only 92% you never try to win gc, we want an approx 6th place finish. You finish higher than that we regard it as a failure.
    What is a giro win worth? I wd trade 6 giros maybe 7 or 8 for one tour win
    Roglic race giro sub max under radar. And win tour. In 1989 when Lemond was washed up and was history that’s what lemond did (89 giro) to win 89 tour

    If it's Primoz vs Remco then it's 2-0

    Almeida wasn't very eager to drop back in the Giro two years ago when Evenepoel was still high in GC. Sometimes you need to lead by example!

      name one stage he didnt support remco in that giro.

      Almeida did drop back in that Giro, on multiples occasions, to help Remco! Even when Remco didn´t have much more left he still stood with him. And then went on to finish 4th in the GC if i´m not mistaken! This was a bad call by UAE and a bad show of a teammate by Yates and Soler!

      @vitozinhp ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is not true. Almeida was always with Remco who finished in 18 or19 GC (if my memory serves me right). only in the last stages after the team's order did Almeida drop Remco and still finished 6th. To give something to the team...

      In which case the answer is: let Yates or Soler drop back to help Almeida.

      well, maybe drop for the 3th best rider on the whole team, just maybe. Soler and Yates aren't on the level of Almeida or Ayuso, and Pogacar ain't even a discussion

    • @We_do_phys
      @We_do_phys ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tibovl you’re missing the point that there’s basically zero draft up there, pointless dropping a rider back. They waited for him when it eased off effectively then being fresher to push harder in the front where he can actually benefit from a draft

    • @Tibovl
      @Tibovl ปีที่แล้ว

      @@We_do_phys It doesn't matter. Yates lost minutes yesterday and Soler isn't a threat for gc. Either one of them should have waited immediately, even if it would have only saved a second in the end.
