I’ll never forget the swift left hand turn over Jamaica bay. Was like being in a jet fighter as the earth rumbled and shook at brisk take off and it was loud inside as well. Just added to the excitement- no one had there fingers in their ears!
I crossed the Pond back and forth several times by Concorde bac in he day and the take-off from JFK was just spectacular. That sharp left turn almost as soon as Concorde was airborne was the thrill of lifetime. No matter how many times you did it it was always fantastic - every time. I know I am truly blessed to have had the fortune to be part of the 'Supersonic Travellers Club'
Me too. Back and forth once to London. I remember the captain coming on the speaker before take off telling us there will be a steep turn right after take off for noise abatement. The punching through the sound barrier was great too. I'm forever grateful for the ride.
@@cmartin_ok It ran out of fuel once after landing while taxiing back to the terminal. Used a lot of fuel on the ground so always went first. Best plane ever.

Flew on G-BOAF//LHR//SNN//BGI/BA273//27/Feb 1988. Seat 20B. Magnificent aircraft and take off and flight. Brilliant service with BA. Incredible piece of aircraft manufacturing.🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
That was some AOA on take off. I could kick myself over again for not making a flight, thinking she'd be around for a long time. I've been on a test plane in Casablanca. All it did was taxi. When I deplaned and walked into the terminal I was deaf for about 10 minutes. The Concorde was on idle and I didn't have any protective head gear. I have a dvd about the retirement. It's sort of sad. Thanks for posting.
Wonderful, simple video with no editing of a typical plane spotting day. Miss her so much.
The world's favorite aircraft.
A magnificent jet, miss seeing her in flight.

As former Air Jamaica pilot it was great to see the LoveBird at the gate as the majestic Concorde taxied by...Great days...🎉
Brings me back to my childhood when my Parents took me to see her :)
Me 2 loved living in Rosedale and going to JFK. I took a few great shots of a AF Concorde taking off great times.
@@jasonshuster4748 could you post them? I'd love to see them

'around for a long time'? 30 years wasn't bad.
A plane that doesn’t wait in line. I love it!
It was limited by its fuel capacity.
Indeed. It didn't taxi or hold very well so it always had special permission to go from pushback straight to head of the queue for take-off

Wow . We need Concorde back
why, not cost effective to operate and only the rich can afford to fly on it.

Only if Continental are not using the runway
The greatest airliner!
One of my first trips as a co pilot was a trip to JFK. We were number two behind the concord what an amazing sight.

I thought barbados was within it's range?
The best thing about flying early flights out of jfk back then was that you got to see both BA & AF Concordes take off within minutes of each other.
Simply extraordinary, nothing like before or since. Even with the crash in Paris and the fuel prices, it was a crowning achievement.

It was such a beautiful aircraft.
What a wonderful bird
Sublime, looks futuristic even today! 🍾❤️
Stunning
that air jamaica 320 still flying today, like a champ
She still NEEDS to be flying! What a step backwards for aviation with her be grounded.
Concorde came to barbados on saturday's from U,K during winter months' we have one park at our Airport 1990.
Thanks
Day after my 6th birthday, class shot!
Miss you Concorde 😢
I wish I could've been a passenger on the plane.
Todo mundo ama o Cris!
PanAm and TWA missed the boat in not acquiring it.
military plane carrying civil passengers 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Dam i miss those. 😢
We’ve lost the edge, Concorde, The Space Shuttle, these were designed in the 60’s and 70’s.
full afterburners!
Concorde and the SR71 most beautiful aircraft ever built
Gosh I wish these stayed around for another twenty years:/
Marvel of engineering. No doubt.
Awesome
