GOING from J-fashion Barbie to ‘alien freak’ has been a natural progression for a girl who says she is looking for a way to become ‘permanently blue’. Lhouraii Li, who previously made the news in 2013 as the ‘Barbie of Bradford’, has undergone a dramatic change over the past six years and now regularly covers herself in blue paint. Aside from the paint, she also now suffers from severe Agoraphobia, which means she can’t be in public or she’ll experience a panic attack. Lhouraii, who spends her time on her canal boat in the north of England, told Barcroft Studios: “I’ve always wanted blue skin. Whenever I’d watch films or shows or see a game with a blue character I’d just think it looked so beautiful."

A gentle, vulnerable, empathetic, deeply creative & skilled individual. Truly beautiful. I've got an unhealthy habit of watching Truly videos, but this is the first one where I've felt positive about the person & their situation. I may be an awful person, but the vast majority seem to be craving unhealthy attention. Obviously not the case with an agoraphobic, socially anxious person. She is wonderful. Didn't get to see enough of her boyfriend, but he seems genuine & compassionate as well. This lifted my spirits, thank you.

I used to be subscribed to her channel here during her Gyaru days and it’s so good to see her doing well! I loved her style then and I love it even more now
She said at the begging of the video why she dresses blue - she never felt like she fit in anywhere, so she created a place for herself. Later on she also said dressing blue is like a shield. And she now has agoraphobia and is struggling with that. Even though she looks beautiful and is obviously very talented at make-up, I don’t think dressing blue is good, as she’s obviously depending on it in an unhealthy way. She needs to work through her past properly and cure her social anxieties and agoraphobia in order to move on and live a wonderful life. ❤️

I just turned 55 and I've suffer most of my life with depression and anxiety. I wish I'd had the courage to do the things I wanted when I was younger. Get as many tattoos and piercings as I wanted. I wish I'd had the courage to be authentically, organically me. I'm working on that now.

I'm a pretty "normal" looking person. I enjoy a lot of rock/punk/metal(core) music and once I was at a festival eating cookies and this man came up to me. He was wearing all black, tattoos, colorful hair, piercings and stuff and he came up to me. I offered a cookie and he asked with big boyish eyes "are these choco cookies?" As I saw him happily munch in the cookie I knew I would never struggle to not judge people who chose to look differently.

She can’t afford to do full body tattoos that’s what she said. That is very expensive. A 3 hr tattoo here generally cost $350 give or take . Depending on the artist. Imagine how long it would take for a full body ....

I was skeptical until watching this and she straight up looks like her skin SHOULD be blue. It really suits her. It's such an original and also stunning look. I love how many ways she could incorporate blue skin with different looks, fairy, mermaid, like an avatar, even the corpse bride all would look great with the color she prefers her skin to look like. I'm a big fan of incredible looks, but she took it to another level. The perfect blue skin, the makeup, the jewelleries, the nails, the hairs... I'm in love. It suits her so much !
I wish society understood as a whole that most people who look "different" aren't evil or attention-seeking. It's just a matter of that's how they feel comfortable.
