Hello there! I came across your amazing video after looking up tutorials on badge making. I was thinking, would using ceramic peas help keep the top layer of the baking paper down? I have no idea if that will effect the badges though.
I'm not sure to be honest, it might stop them from shirking as they won't have room to change size, they work perfectly fine without anything on top, but i do definitly recommend patting them down with something flat after theyve come out of the oven tho!!
@@CaptainChants ah, I didn't know about that as I've only just started looking into this hobby (and I blame my friend for this, she knows who she isXD). And it makes perfect sense not to change what works in the end! If it's not broken, don't fix it! Also the fact they need patting down seconds later after coming out of the oven makes sense due to the nature of plastic. I might know nothing about this medium, but I am familiar with plastic thanks to my 3d printer. I wouldn’t be able to really tell you of their longevity but since I made them (almost a year ago) they’ve been fine! I think if you want to do small limited hand made runs they’re great and feel very unique in that sense.
I love enamel pins so i always end up making a run of those for certain designs. :)
Also, thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed this video ^_^
ABS, a type of filament, likes to warp and shrink so it needs a good enclosure to print properly...fails still happen though.
@@hikaru9624 Yes totally! I'm still learning as well so it's good to find out some new tips and points ^__^ I hope they work out well for you, its definitely a lot of fun : D
@@CaptainChants well if it doesn't then it won't matter as I know I'll enjoy making things with the cricut! Also thanks to you, I now have my eye on a cricut from their site. It's a good price too as most 3d printers cost that much as well!
Wish I could get it now but bills happened.
Anyway thank you so much for making this video! I've subscribed to you and I'm looking forward to your next video!^_^
That's a nifty machine!
It really is! hahaha
OMG YOU ARE THE PRETTIEST THING EVER ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍 (lol)
GORLLLL
Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomuch! -
YOURE SO WELCOME!!
please do a video on how u make the little paper you put the pin on
Hi! It's very simple, I just create my designs, print them out and cut them : )
Hi! could this be any Cricut? or is there a specific? I'm new to this lol sorry also did you design the pin-up drawing? or did you find it online? as I'm not good at drawing lol to many questions but Amazed by this !!! and thank you!!!
Hello!
I'm pretty ure any Cricut will do the job as long as it does cut and print! I design all the artwork myself
: )
Thank you! Glad you like it and hope you have fun creating your own ^_^
So cute 🙌🏻
AHH THANK YOU
when I hit make it, it fills the whole page and sizes up the prints.
Hmmm, I'm not sure why that's happening - it could be the printer layout setting. I;d just double check what paper size etc you have it set to and fiddle about with that : )
What type of paper do you use?
Hi!
The shrink paper is one I found on Amazon and it's called "shrink paper" - I buy the one that's for inkjet printers : )
I live in the uk and I have used the plastic before.
you don't lower the opacity of the image?
Della Simbulan hi!
I just change the saturation, I haven’t tried it with lower opacity - but that might work too!
So I made some pins. I sprayed modge podge as a sealer but the ink bled. Did this happen for any of you?!
Oh no! I did try Modge Podge (the one in the tube?) and found that it definitely made my ink bleed, using an acrylic spray from a distance gave me a much better result and no bleeding. I'm sorry that happend D:
thank you
: )
Nice
Thanks ^_^
the best
That automatic cutter tho is too expensive. Well hands and scissors we have some work to do
Hahah yeah, I would only recommend investing in one if you plan to make and sell a lot. I started off cutting stickers by hand : )
@@CaptainChants Heheh yeah that's what I'm planning on but later down the road. But this video actually helped me a lot and I mean ALOT!!! Thank you x3
@@quartersage7888 Awwww! I'm glad I could help ! :D
Thax u 😭🤎🤎🤎
Templates pls 😩😍👏
Hi! I don't have any templates for this as it's my own work and created by myself : )
CaptainChants that’s why it’s beautiful
@@chimmy8677 Thank you : )
CaptainChants your welcome ❤️
HOW DURABLE ARE THESE THANK YOU
Theyre pretty sturdy - they essentially turn into little bits of hard plastic!
What printer do you use?
Hey! At the time I was using an Epson 1500w, I'm now using an Epson XP-970 : )
What paper you use?
Hi, I'm using something called "Shrink Film" to create the pins : )
