Very true my friend. Now once it's off the lot how long can they keep the repo man or mechanic at bay is a different story. I mean I get it's their money and if they think they can afford it, let her rip, but personally I don't see how people taking out 6, 7, and 8 year loans with $800 to I've seen as high as $2000 per month with some of these, can sustain itself. I'm all for buying a new car. It's a great feeling, but that feeling only lasts until that first note comes due.
People buying these trucks are stupid $300 in interest per month. Are you effing kidding me the truck is going to depreciate by half as soon as drive out of the parking lot it’s not like it’s a home. I just purchased a house a fixer-upper for $100,000. I’m gonna put another hundred thousand dollars in the house would be worth $300,000. Please someone tell me how buying a truck for almost $100,000. I’ll gain anything from that let them rot and I hope they all go out of business.
The car I got in the 80s didn’t have a compass neither. I spent $10 at Walmart and bought the fanciest compass and stick that to the windshield along with free maps from AAA. Never lost once. People are just getting stupider and dumber these days.
When I was at FCA/Stellantis, the 4 lines I worked were the left and right hand outer aperture and the left and right rear inner doors that built for the Durango and Grand Cherokee. Fellas I give you my word I wouldn't allow a single bad or suspect part make it to my end line conveyor or end line dunnage unloads. I always approach it as would I want that on my vehicle or would I risk someone's family if they buy what this is going on??? I can't say everyone thinks like that in those plants, but even then the prices were getting out of hand so I worked accordingly. A lot of it is greed, but there's so much crap packed into these things these days along with some of the safety and fuel standards that have to be met. Apparently auto makers were/are using some of the profit to fund the EV research and development. Our wages increase with each contract, but the health insurance is a whole other story and no matter what BS others try to push, it factors in, especially that health care that we don't pay a dime towards with regards to premiums. I suspect prices will come down depending on what the Trump administration does with some of the BS fuel standards. Trust me fellas the companies are taking note. I'm at GM now and while we have done better than Ford and Stellantis, the pinch is gonna be hitting us too. It's just a matter of time. We do have a few more "economical" vehicles than the other 2, but not by much, and that's if you're interested in a GM. Plus I'm thinking we gained a few more customers after the debacle with Stellantis. What's crazy is even working for the company, I'm looking at a Subaru for my next vehicle simply because they're number 1 in reliability now. I would love to buy something we make, specifically a GMC Canyon, but no V6 and a $50,000 price tag are driving me to Subaru. I have my eye on a pretty nice 2024 Crosstrek. Thing has all the bells and whistles too at a $28,000 sticker. Still a bit much for what the vehicle is, but I can work with it. Godspeed out there gentlemen and Merry Christmas.
I don't get it myself either. I'm not a fan of how they look either. I worked for Stellantis. I went to GM in September and hired in with a few electricians that worked at Warren Truck where the Wagoneer's are built. That was right around when the company announced they were cutting 2 shifts there. We had 4 or 5 electricians come from Warren, while I'm still the only one from Jefferson North. One of the guys was telling me when the first Wagoneers were rolling off the line, they had to rework and/or scrap the vehicle for any number of defects. Something like the first 40 or 50 off the line. From what he told me once they came off the line, they just took a forktruck and slid the forks right under the truck.
Manufacturers are making a killing selling to dealers. If you don't buy, neither will dealers and dealers will be forced to reject vehicles at that price range from the manufacturer.
Thanks for your high def vids. I wish the UFO "experts" and Bigfoot hunters would take your advice on camera selection. Everyone on the Jersey shore are still using flip phones to take videos.
@@mc4277 You're dismissing a vehicle based on number of cylinders. Horsepower is horsepower. There are several ways to make it. Frankly I was never impressed with the Hemi V8. It was little more than a marketing gimmick. Anyway, this is 2024, not 1994. Six cylinder engines aren't what they used to be. The Hurricane should be given a fair shot. Hopefully its reliable. And it's Porsche.
My neighbour has a Wagoneer and he has tons of dust infiltration when he drives down a dirt road almost like the floorboards are rusted out in the old beater.
We laugh but obviously people are buying them. Maybe not immediately but they're getting sold

I’m guessing the ones leaving the dealers lots are on lease. They will be back in a few years.

I used fold out paper maps for years. But all you need now is a cell phone holder and google maps.
And people still drive their cars into rivers and ponds!
125,000$ for a grand wagoner is crazyyy , that’s a moving house
Look at the website, its 27k off sticker. Still expensive but not sticker and I agree still not paying 90k for it lol.
I don't understand why they order so many, it seems like a rookie mistake.

LoL @ the "15 piece tailgate". Coming soon to a stealership near you for $200k 😂😂😂😂😂
Id spend $125000 on a truck, it better be able to fly too though!
120k for that is actually a MIND BLOWING price. Just wow who would even?
Its actually 27k off sticker maybe more if you wheel and deal but who buys 90k Wagoneers either.

I really don’t understand why the majority of trucks have short beds?
Four doors. Get rid of the second set of doors and go with a king cab to reclaim bed space.
@ yeah, I drive a 2000 ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins. It only has 140k miles. I won’t be buying this new crap anytime soon.
They claim the manufacturers sell more of these, as well as some are coming from the cuv/suv market.
And yes, those dinky boxes are useless.
@@crlaw75 yeah, I get selling some but a LWB handles better and is way handier. I’ve never once thought, “hmm, this is too much space, I need less”
It makes it handy for loading large loads and being able to close the tailgate.
These manufacturers are clueless to what buyers really want.
$35000 for a used ram. Yeah, I don't think so.

For a shitty V6 😂
Its not even a v6 😢
🙄 I guess a Porsche 911 Turbo just has a shitty V6
@@iuyozx Well actually. But you're also comparing two unlike things. Ram ≠ Porche.
@@mikedaggett17 I stand corrected. A shitty straight 6. I had one in high school. Gutless.

so, how does the market reset? they just going to sit there until they drop the pricing?
Yes.
80k for a pickup truck? That’s insaneeee
if you earn millions as a ceo you think 100k is nothing
Honestly i hate the short bed trucks. If I am moving stuff, i need a longer bed
Always letting the truth be known Thank you
Question for anyone. When in 2025 do you think stealerships will start lowering prices to move inventory?
They already are. Dealers down here are advertising 10k-15k off 25 Rams.
Bringing the total down to what approximately?
@@marvinjenkins4901 The Lonestar/Big Horn trims are 40-41k. Take whatever financing they offer and refinance after.
@@marvinjenkins4901 I bought a brand new 2024 Ram 2500 on Tuesday. 13k off sticker. Sticker was $69,000.
My neighbour has a Wagoneer and he has tons of dust infiltration when he drives down a dirt road almost like the floorboards are rusted out in the old beater.
This dealer has huge discounts, every inventory item is marked down pretty decent. Bet you could get more off 15-20k on those Rams.
Those used trucks are only good for a few thousand miles before your repair bills is more than your monthly payment.
so when will they just cut prices and sell these trucks? they cant keep them forever?
If you’re in Phoenix, let’s meet up. I would love to meet you and do a video or two together
77k for a pick up? no thanks.
Prices will not change and this is the new normal
Customers not buying new cars and keeping what they have is also going to be the new normal. Let em rot and go out of business.
Thanks for the excellent insight presentation.
yeah I know you can thank the government for that and Biden also and I do not like dodge at all iam a ford fan
