Yes, I usually buy a new truck every 5 years. Given the new technologies in the engines, I will hang on to my 2016 RAM for the duration. I need a truck that is reliable.
Even with the rebates, prices are outrageous for garbage! The older stuff was better and cheaper!! Manufacturers and dealers are going to be hit with the harsh reality very soon!!
1) Toyota needs to prohibit their dealerships from charging a penny above msrp for any reason. Effective immediately, no exceptions, forever. 2) Toyota needs to reduce all prices to match either pre-covid or previous generation pricing (the latter for the Tacoma, tundra etc). They need to do this even if the entire company loses tens of billions of dollars per year, and run nationwide ad campaigns explaining that they are doing this as an apology to the people of the United States. They need to say, accross hundreds of millions of dollars of tv and internet ads “we let greed get the better of us, we tried to take advantage of our customers, we launched flawed designs and cut corners on build quality, we were wrong and we’re sorry. To prove it, we are lowering all prices 20% to 50% and prohibiting dealers from charging fees, adjustments or add ons” 3) Toyota needs to UTTERLY ABANDON all of the woke, leftist, globalist environmentally friendly garbage engines. Vehicles that had a v6 get a v6. Vehicles with a v8 get a v8. And then tell the federal government “no”. Just no. Make the government raid Toyota offices and factories with thousands and thousands of swat team members. Waco siege. Toyota should make the EPA either murder people, or back down and ignore eMiSsIoNs wahhhh 😭
0:54 - $34K for a stripped out 4x2 midsized pickup - yeahhhhhh no thanks. The Nissan Frontier is the better buy, although, they did add another $1000-$2000 to the sticker for MY2025.
It's sad now that we think when a car is 30k it's a good price. These corolla's should be in the high teens for LE and low 20's for everything else. Camry's should be in the mid 20's for the lower trims. Nope, 30k is the starting point for most cars now and it's fucking insane.
@HermanHerrera yep. I'm lucky enough to have a good job and can afford my car/s, but I honestly feel for the people out there that can't. You can't even find a good deal on used anymore. I bought my first 10 cars when I was in my 20's all 5k or under and this was the early 2000-2010.
Glad I purchased a new 2nd generation 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro employing that bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine and reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission, which I paid only $58,693. I have a copious cargo area that folds flat snd a rear sliding window
Two things. First congrats Thomas on being featured in the most recent More Perfect Union video, where the give Stellantis the lashing they deserve. Second, the 2024 Tundra Capstone has some of the worst peripherals I’ve seen in a $80k car. My dad has one and its volume buttons are cheaper than my 15 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk(2015 makes it a pre-Stellantis acquisition model). Hold your wallets ladies and gentlemen, the dealers and manufacturers and manufacturers can only fleece us if we open or wallet!
Stellantis - let's take away a couple cylinders and raise the price so they can lot rot. Toyota - lets try that since it worked so well for Stellantis. Toyota will be the next Stellantis.
As a Toyota Truck Owner. Anything after 2016.. Toyota Trucks SUCK again. As someone who bought Toyota when it wasn't cool. With 2.6 million KM Over 30 years with Toyota. Modern TOYOTA Suck.. all of them. I'm not sure what I am gonna buy next .... Someone Way up in Toyota Needs Fired!!
Toyota is making a mistake imo, they built thier reputation on reliability, and that's basically gone imo. They'll be losing sales to other manufacturers.
The average consumer is low IQ and will pay a premium for junk. The Colorado is hot garbage and they're asking $50K+ and selling to Hey Dude wearers. Consumers complain about inflation then overpay on junk. 🤦🏻♂️
I was watching the Cleetus McFarland channel the other night and one of his employees has a new Toyota truck. The engine in this guy's truck blew up on the way to work and they featured it in a video... The horse is out of the barn with poor quality and Toyota will be the next Stellantis if they don't do something about it.
Hey Thomas, I just heard your voice and saw a bit of one of your clips in this video about Stellantis (around the 7 minutes and 40 seconds mark): th-cam.com/video/Lb_mSTnnEaQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WUm22Nt1l6gunKEo 🙌❤️ Keep your boots on these automakers and stealerships necks, Sir! 😀 P.S. Carlos Tavares is the Brian Thompson of the automotive industry. All he cares about are astronomical profits for himself and the shareholders. I’m so glad he’s *not* the CEO anymore! Maybe there’s some hope and maybe CDJR will get their balls out of the grip Stellantis has on them. If Chrysler (or any CDJR brand) is killed off, it will be mainly because of the idiocy and insane greed under his “leadership”. I mean, he _was_ Carlos Ghosn’s protégé… so, there’s that. 🤦🏻♂️
I recently purchased 2 jeep grand cherokees, one a 1999 and a 2001 both were garage kept one owner low mileage jeeps, both 4x4 with the 4.0 engine and both were beautiful. Had to pay some shipping but both together were under 20,000 and will last me many years.
I went to a ford dealer to buy a car and they wanted to charge me 1000$ for premium window tinting that was done to the vehicle but when I went to test drove it only half the windows were done, lol. the also wanted to charge for like 500$ in ceramic coating.
The old land cruiser was a jumbo luxury off-road vehicle. This new one looks like an upgraded Nissan Xterra. Looks a lot smaller and cheaper. I’m curious of other thoughts
toyota self imploded.....they swapped a time tested and true engine for a 4 cylinder turbo / hybrid.....I will keep my 2012 trd sport 4 cylinder engine I bought new and now has 140k on her without a stitch of trouble EVER
People who bought the old gen trucks will keep them forever.
Yes, I usually buy a new truck every 5 years. Given the new technologies in the engines, I will hang on to my 2016 RAM for the duration. I need a truck that is reliable.
I'm keeping my 2012.
Hell yea brother
Right, I’m looking at a few 07 to 08 tundra’s in a single cab short bed
Hangin on to 2004 ford here
These dealerships can eat the costs.
they hire a bunch of teenagers to do most of the work it doesnt cost much.
@@potatochobitya, but they are paying interest while they are sitting there
Even with the rebates, prices are outrageous for garbage! The older stuff was better and cheaper!! Manufacturers and dealers are going to be hit with the harsh reality very soon!!
The new Toyota Turd with lots of BS.

Luigi should be put to work against the largest dealership chains.

They had a Corolla for $42k in the showroom! Prices are nuts. Not just Toyotas…all of them!
1 thing to conseder is that the resale value will go down a lot due to unreliability with their turbos and faulty transmissions.
Consider?
Exactly!! It would be unwise to buy the new Toyota with the new generation engine
Most reliable Toyotas are now the 2.5 hybrids. Not offered in these trucks

100% I have a 2016 Rav and a 2023 Rav. The 2023 is half the car. I'm with you, when i get rid of this 23 I have no idea what I'm going to buy.
Rav4 is the best bang for the buck which is why you see people driving them everywhere.
Insane to spend over 50K for a 1500 series truck. Loaded should be right at 50K
its not the MSRP but all the bullshit fees and charges the STEALerships charge you..... the factory should have more control of these scammers
Toyota is making a mistake imo, they built thier reputation on reliability, and that's basically gone imo. They'll be losing sales to other manufacturers.

56,000 for a toy truck. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's not a land cruiser, that's an overpriced 4Runner
Overpriced Rav 4 with the turbo 4cyl
@shapiroshekelberg604 LoL
4 Banger Tacoma for almost 60K 👎
Unjustified ❎❎❎
I's rather buy a v8 with a 5-sd auto and manual transfer case for that kinda money
Do the Landcruisers have the same engines as the new Tundras?? If so...😂
I was watching the Cleetus McFarland channel the other night and one of his employees has a new Toyota truck. Toyotas to me look like Lego cars

My man Tom now in the big leagues....keep up the good work Tom....👏👏
What are you yapping about
it will NOT bring us back until we get 30+ grand off and 0 percent
I recently purchased 2 jeep grand cherokees, one a 1999 and a 2001 both were garage kept one owner low mileage jeeps, both 4x4 with the 4.0 engine and both were beautiful. Had to pay some shipping but both together were under 20,000 and will last me many years.
$56k for a mini truck....LOL

Damm, my 2004 ford is tinted from THE FACTORY (except for the front 3 windows)
Yeah Toyota is fkn up badly and i’m a big Toyota fan I wouldn’t buy the new one they can rott
I’ll tell ya what. 2019 was the best time to buy one of these trucks. Reliable previous generation, affordable and low interest rate.
I never had an issue yet with my 2023 tundra. I hate that I'm forced to link up with my truck to run GPS. For the price. It is over price.
These trucks are no longer for common folk.... A toyota!!! wtf is this world
Not in this lifetime!!!
The old land cruiser was a jumbo luxury off-road vehicle. This new one looks like an upgraded Nissan Xterra. Looks a lot smaller and cheaper. I’m curious of other thoughts
Most of these trucks are ugly AF,they are missing simple classic look.
Are these dealerships closed when you're on the lots?
Dam come on toyota it's just getting stuiped.
Good luck selling them truck. WTF were they thinking.
They should sell them to Avis or Hertz to use as rental vehicles. Then after a few years they can be resold for a third the price. 〽️
and they will continue to sit and rust away.
toyota self imploded.....they swapped a time tested and true engine for a 4 cylinder turbo / hybrid.....I will keep my 2012 trd sport 4 cylinder engine I bought new and now has 140k on her without a stitch of trouble EVER
And the worst thing is many modern toyota cars expecially the new one are easy to stolen by thief brahh
RIPOFF
Ford is bringing back the Taurus.
All this for turbo engine with 8 or 10 speed transmission? Let's go back to NA engines and 5 speed trans.
Let em rot
I seen on tv ram trucks selling for 20k off msrp .
You can take a lot of Lyft/Uber rides for $68k.. 😉
Let that sh!t sit!
🤢🤮🤮🤮
Looks as dumb as fj cruiser
😂
