Just bought a 998 final edition. I used to own a 916sps and had to sell it. Always regretted it. The 998 fe will stay in my collection until I’m dead this time !

Very tasteful driving style...smooth and civil, yet flexes the performance capacity of the 998. This is how I like to ride my R1100S through Montana river canyons. What a thoroughly enjoyable clip.

I feel very lucky to own a 2002 Ducati 998 that I purchased new. It’s what motorcycling should be about. Raw challenging fun.

Thw scenery is stunning, the 998 makes it top shelf. This bike was very special, it did everything well.

Just found this great video on TH-cam. I bought...way back when a 748R. Traded up to a 996s then in 2002 bought a 998s - all great bikes. Yes regretted selling my 998s. No longer own a Ducati, miss my Duke 998s. Thank you for sharing and reminding me the beautiful symphony coming from a Ducati V-TWIN up through the Termi system. Never get tired of listening to that wonderful soundtrack. :)
My husband is waiting for a 2004 998 to arrive from the other side of the country!... I was just curious how they sound!... It is apparently a Matrix Reloaded Edition!... It is his dream bike lol!
That is a rare model, a ducati 916 flew by me once when i was a kid and now I own a Panigale. Ducati has a special place in my heart. Hope you’re husband loves his 998!
I'm watching this because of the exact very same reason. I've had several Ducs, I always wanted the 998 though. What a gorgeous bike. Your husband had excellent taste, these were showstoppers.

It needed a bit of work, but is going to be as good as new by riding season!.. It sounds amazing and I can't wait to ride it this springs!
Interesting, I'm buying a yellow 748 from a collector who has a Matrix with only 4,000 miles on it! But the Matrix is priced around $15K . . .
@@captainamerica9353 748 sounds nice!.. When my husband was shopping around online for the Matrix Edition, I recall seeing prices as low as $7k, up to just under $19k, so depends, I guess... We paid about $12k, so mid range price IMO.. The bike was in better conditions then he imagined.. Just be carefully.. Many have high miles and were owned by kids

I have an Aprilia RSV1000R and kawasaki Z900, and by far the aprilia sounds way better.
