@@stankovic7150 2 strokes engines are reliant on an oil/fuel mixture to lubricate the walls of the cylinder. As such, they were prone to seizing if the engine became too hot or there was not enough oil in the cylinder. More so on an air cooled engine than water cooled. This was almost instantaneous, so the rear wheel would lock and send the rider bitumen surfing, or worse. So riders always have two fingers across the clutch lever ready to pull the clutch lever in if the engine seized. If you watch the old Gp riders they always had their fingers on the clutch. I still do it today when riding, unless on a freeway, and it's a very long time since I rode a two stroke, on road or off. It's a good habit to have in city riding because it will allow you to get off the gas and on the brakes when some idiot in a car or truck inevitably pulls out in front. Edit: I currently have an air cooled RD350 I am collecting parts for, to,do a resto-mod in the future. So there's a bit of life in my clutch fingers yet.👍
