@@tjmaxx4739 do your self some good, if you want to champion someone to a elevated status, do some research of his presidency and you would find out he was far from a morally great person, And it was after his presidency he was trying to do good things For all his bad things.
He no doubt was a good man, but he was completely incompetent as president. Came across as a weakling and adversaries to this country ate him up. Not to mention the economy was shit by the time he was done.
Sorry, but Jimmy Carter may have been a reasonably decent and nice man, but as a politician he was one of the worst presidents we ever had. Until Biden, he was the worst in the last 60 years. It was under Carter's presidency that we nearly experienced another depression. It was a pretty horrific recession that pushed many Americans out of the middle class and back into the lower economic class. Carter also presided over a politically caused oil shortage that lead to long, long lines at gas stations, waiting for hours, sometimes days to get fuel. We were forced to ration gas, only being allowed to buy every other day, depending on if our license plate ended with a positive or negative number. What is pathetic about that, is that the Carter Admin told us the shortage was caused by Israel going to war with the Saudi's, but that was a lie. Anyone who knew better in SoCal, could see the mile long line of super oil tankers sitting deep in the water, (meaning they had all their crude oil onboard) right off the coast of San Pedro, aka the Los Angeles Harbor. There were scores of refineries all along the coast there, and NONE of them would accept the crude oil from the tankers. There was PLENTY of oil, but for political reasons, it was kept away form the people, in order to try to sway public opinion against Israel. We can thank Jimmy Carter for that deception. It was also around this time that Carter betrayed the Shaw of Iran, a benevolent dictator, who would not allow free elections in Iran. So, the Carter admin forced him out of office, and the Ayatollah took over, "claiming" they were doing elections, but they were always rigged. The Iranian people were and still are pro America. The radical Iranian government that Carter Admin helped take over Iran, was and still is an enemy of America and most especially of Israel, routinely calling for the utter destruction and death to all Americans and Israelis. Today, Iran is the backer of Hamas that is holding American hostages in the war with Israel. We have Jimmy Carter who's actions lead to all of that, all the way up to today, to thank for all of that too. Towards the end of Carter's presidency, the new Iranian regime took over the American embassy and held a large number of American hostages there. Ronald Reagan won the Presidency away from Carter in 1980, and the hostage holders knew that Reagan would not be so wishy washy like Carter, and they released the hostages the very day Pres Reagan was sworn into office knowing he'd send Special Forces against them if they did not. Carter was NOT a good president. May have been good for the domestic enemies of America, but he was NOT good for average regular Americans.
Your history lesson is incorrect. Long lines at gas stations was 1973. High inflation also started before Carter. 1974 inflation reached 12%.........I didn't bother reading past just the beginning of your comment, but where did you learn your history? It just sounds like political garbage.

You are correct, I don’t think Trump should be wasting his time thinking about Carter, one of the worst presidents this country has ever seen and had. Carter and Biden were neck and neck in that comparison for a little while but Biden pulled away and made sure he would be forever known as the worst president ever, but Carter wasn’t far behind. So if you look down on Trump and admire Carter , you must be a very delusional soul. And for that, you don’t even have the right to even think of Carter and Trump as well. So don’t even think about thinking of him. 🫵😪

Actually the scripture says,” by their fruits you shall know them” Matthew 7:16.
Mr. America Held Hostage.
He was great moral president did not support any genocide, RIP!
@tjmaxx4739: He didn't support the middle class US citizens either so there's that!
I’ve always read and been taught he was a lame duck…nonetheless he was a president and I do respect that.
