    Thanks for the video. I am looking at my first EV. I am on a looped supply and the consumer unit and meter are in the middle of the house. So this and your looped video have helped. I have a consultation next week with the installer (i live near manchester - so a bit far for you to travel) fingers crossed they are as informed as yourself.

    Great Job mate! That holder to release the charger plug is the best thing, I used it on my Indra Lux it finishes it off well and makes for a neater install compared to the holder and rubber boot that still allows water ingress think Indra dropped the ball on that one.
    Ohme is by far the best integration with Octopus 🐙 a mate of mine has it and it can do the dual tariff ie it knows when your charging at the lower price of the tariff in the day time outside of the set hours and give you the price of the charge accordingly, although Octopus 🐙 schedule the charge on Indra.
    Indra still associate any charge outside of the set times as peak rate and displays it on the app as peak rate even though Octopus 🐙 Automated the charge schedule. Indra seem at a loss as how to implement this like Ohme have got told they will look to update in the next firmware update.
    Ohme is by far the star of integration but ugly in the looks department IMHO especially if it has to be installed at the front of the house.

    Have an Ohme charger installed. Not a massive fan of it always looses its internet connection from the mobile sim that it uses and sometimes requires a power down to fix this and whilst it has no internet the option of authorizing charges does not work meaning any one can use the charger.
    The CT clamp on my one also doesnt work and so i have had to turn load balancing off as it was stuck at low charge speeds and the CT clamp makes a loud noise tried to call Ohme several times but can never get through to them left several voicemails to call back and have heard nothing.

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Jamie,
      Thanks for your comments, one thing I also do is check the 4G connection at the property before installing an Ohme, it’s a shame your having this issue. I would maybe suggest contacting your installer (if it’s Ohme then I understand you have tried to contact them) and get the CT connections checked out, should be an easy fix.
      Thanks for watching and best wishes for Xmas! 👍

    • @jamiei543
      @jamiei543 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks and yes the CT clamp is an easy fix think i know what the issue is the installer used 1 pair of CAT5 per CT wire meaning each wire to the CT has 2 cables which wont be helping things will probably end up redoing these connections after xmas when i have time and seeing if that gets the CT to start working@@sotaelectrical

    Hi, looking at getting a EV but I know my fuse board hasn’t any spare space available so every trip switch is connected to something around the house (lights,sockets, Outdoor sockets etc) does that mean I need a new bigger fuse box fitted or can something be done to free a space up for the EV charger to be wired into? As I want to faction all of these things in to the cost of moving over to a EV. Thanks

    • @sotaelectrical

    It riles me when people complain about people doing things better than they absolutely have to. Clearly their MO is to do the minimum they can get away with. I do Ohme's all the time and there's no way I would leave the wiska box connections/wagos unprotected, especially if they are internal.
