@@mugslschlaengli5928 The only issue of stealing from the Chinese will be they are protected by western copyright laws and therefore illegal al to copy their products. Where as the Chinese copy what ever they want and don’t worry about copyright laws as they are hard to I force in China when the courts are controlled by the corrupt CCP.
I always find that the people who have to be talked into doing a youtube channel cos they think no one will be interested in what they do - are THE most interesting...
Sandy is a case in point.
This presentation was better than any engineering class I took. Sandy is 100% right, and most of my professors at Michigan Tech would lose their crap at most of his statements.
This is an absolute gem! Anyone working any process needs to watch this, learn this, implement this and master this!

@@buckmanriver Thanks Buck - we just can't learn enough about how Elon does things - and he does things! Great to have Sandy analyze the products of Elon's philosophy and in this video, the philosophy spelled out. "Competitors" aren't led by this philosophy and it shows in their products.
I would add a side lesson, and this is to read W Edwards Deming, a book like “out of the crisis.“ Or anyone of his books that are written for Laymen.

Some of those modernized IV infusion pumps helped keep my daughter alive during her first 5 months of life, as a micro-preemie living in a Neonatal ICU. She's a perfect wonderful kid today. Thanks!

Sandy and team, as a chaplain who works in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, thank you for doing the work to make that pump for the babies. You have probably saved hundreds or thousands of lives with that redesign.
What sandy is doing is giving us a very expensive class lesson free of charge. So grateful for his incredible insight.

I feel like you guys gave us a ton of insider knowledge of your jobs. Thank you for that! I absolutely love it all and I believe I learned a ton in 30 mins. Great job to Sandy as apparently he loved talking about this so much I barely heard and "umm" or cough. So fluid and smooth.

Are you talking profit or what exactly, how exensive things are, salaries, what? if you have no numbers you have no knowledge, is that what you believe? Are you working after watts, are you telling me that artistic talent doesn't have any play in game development, can you calculate a good game?
@@davidworks7758 simple, more lines equals more problems. Also the number of interacting components is an exponent on top of the number of problems and the communication channel counts as a component.

The Cybertruck is the first pickup truck that was specifically designed to be a pickup truck. Everything that preceded was the evolution of a car with the back seat removed with a farm wagon mounted in its place.

Lol lies. One, Cybertruck is the same form factor as existing trucks. Two, plenty of pickups hail from farm equipment, like ladder frame trucks. Three, Cybertruck uses technology and platforms from existing Tesla cars.

The best thing about you tube is it has enabled Sandy to come online and share all his vast trove of mechanical n industrial experience, as Elon enthralled us and stressed out that engineering is often underappreciated, I guess he is changing the way business is conducted and the way CEO are supposed to stick true to the motives of the company
I'm half way through and have to take a 30 second break. I've had chills for 20 minutes. I'm working on refining a process at work and this is just awesome.
As a Product Designer, this was great to watch. I go through the same struggles every single day. When somebody asks about my job I say, the design part is easy, it's managing the people, stakeholders, that's the most difficult.

Awesome info, reminds of being a graduate at Lotus during Elise MKII production ramp up. One of the Principal Engineers spent most of his time asking designers 'why do have part X?' and getting them to delete or amalgamate it with other parts.
