As you learn the grinder you get to know the tolerances for going coarser / finer so dialing in becomes a 2-3 shot affair in no time - I personally cannot manually steam milk for the life of me so I rely on the Bambino Plus' auto mode. I think I'd be more kin on learning on a better steam tip, maybe in the future when I upgrade to a Rancilio Silvia Pro X or something. For now I'm excited to have ordered a DF83V grinder (for like half off retail price) so I'm going to try a bunch of new beans on it when it comes.
Between different settings on the 078s dial, you should probably purge (waste) around 10g so that you're actually at the new setting for the shot. I have the same grinder and realised this after wasting many 18 grams - going up and then down again.
Hello, for the milk try to remain in one place first then slowly progress down, instead of going up and down trying to control it. Once you're satisfied with the air introduced, just stay there and don't go up, the volume will increase just a bit more and then stop introducing air all on its own. What I've come to understand while I'm making my milk is: nice and steady wins the race.
I would not waste that either. In your case after the first try I would find the chirping setting and go coarser just a bit. You have very capable equipments. If it is possible try use 7-14 days old beans.
Hey, Did you Change your E1 Offset of the Profitech? And do you always use 18g of beans and disregard the actual volume the coffee beans give you ? Cheers
Not once did you taste the shots. The last one came out at the right time just under 10 seconds. Try using paper damp filters under the puck, that does slow down the extraction., and even improves it.
Great efforts! That’s a strong cortado. Depending on your paring, it could be a great morning. 👍🏾👍🏾☕️

Not everyone likes tasting battery acid shots just for the sake of not wasting
@@wajdiyounes5524lol…true but you”ve got to taste the shot to know what it should NOT taste like and gain experience👍🏾👍🏾☕️
@@wajdiyounes5524 actually not true, there is a so called turbo shot which actually tastes really nice.

At least you don't have constant channeling leading to spurts all over the place!

Paper will speed up the shot though. In your experience has this been the case?
@@dirkl216 Hi, the filter paper I use from epresso slows down the extraction time. Maybe it's not worth the hassle.
