    i have a 2000 audi a6 2.7 quattro, the set up is almost identical. I followed your instructions all the way to removing the 22 mm bolts on the BMC, I just can't get the BMC to clear the firewall and the torx head bolts. when I loosened one of the blue torx bolts it didn't clear the firewall either. Any suggestions?

    I’m having this problem with my 2013 Volkswagen CC, brake pedal sinks to the floor, I’m thinking is it the servo? Or is it the master cylinder.? Any information would be helpful

    Hi what was the reason you replaced it in first place? My brake nit as sharp as it used to be but normal check and test for servo still good. My guess will be wear and tear over the years for servo. What is your opinion? I appreciate any help 🙏

    I used a "Baster" squeeze bulb to remove the brake fluid. Suck & Squeeze, suck & Squeeze!

    Like your job. Thanks.
    Done this. No fun. VW !! Like why build the car with a plastic reservoir that will rot? Unplugging the sensor is delicate. They break! Thanks again.

      Pull the metal back bend it so you can slide it out of place.

    • @maxnguyen22
      @maxnguyen22  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to unplug anything. Just don't push the brakes with the master out

      I took out again master cylinder an saw that the axle from pedal thru booster had been pressed/placed wrong and the booster had filled up with brake fluid , now i need to change the booster and master cylinder again, and i need to know how can take out the booster...

    • @maxnguyen22

      @@alexandruserbu2856 you'll have to take out few screws from the inside. If your not mechanically inclined to. I'd take it to a VW specialist

    #2...That T-25 screw driver trick failed on this application. (2-20-23) but with the battery out it offered an almost straight access to that lock-down dowel using a 3/8 extension with a Husky T-25 inserted into that dowel's female end. Passenger side. Make sure to tap that T-25 deep into that dowel....don't ruin the crummy thing! You'll be stuck forever.
    After that the sensor is more easily removed After pulling/manuvering that old reservoir out of the two seals. Careful...have absorbent material under that MC. The sensor has a tit that holds it in place in the mounting channel.
    Again .Have absorbent material under the master cylinder. There are two drains on the lower panel of this plenum, area. Insert finger to push guk out and down to the ground. Bye bye.
    Now to finish cleaning and install the new reservoir & fluid. ..#3

    How'd you actually get the cylinder out because when you pull on it, it hits the fire sall

    • @maxnguyen22
      @maxnguyen22  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Calvin Hanson you have to bend the firewall out then when your done push it back. It flexs. Sorry for the late reply

      @philliphamilton7323 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's the million dollar fucking question right there. Thank you for replying even late because I would have never thought to bend the firewall metal. Who designs this shit

    • @WHB63
      @WHB63 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      maxnguyen22 will not bend

    • @meerjalali1690

      I haven't fitted my master cylinder yet, I'm doing it on the weekend, but if you remove the two torx bolts inside the 22mm nuts the brake servo loosens and move up and down. I'm guessing that will help a bit wiggling the master cylinder in. Passat b5 firewall is hard metal, its looks like its going to well difficult!

    • @meerjalali1690
      @meerjalali1690 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Done it and fitted as above. Firewall scratched but not bent.

  • @chii2924

    Okay but.. how do you actually... take the thing out...

    • @Scary_Stories_Uncovered
      @Scary_Stories_Uncovered 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to actually take out the master cylinder out of the B5 Passat then you have to loosen up the brake booster itself
      Don't worry its not too complicated, all you have to do is remove the two torx bits off the brake booster then the booster should be free to more around, but watch out there is also one more screw you have to remove, its inside the car behind the brake peddle, all you have to do is unscrew the bolt thats on the threads holding the booster to the brake peddle

    • @maxnguyen22
      @maxnguyen22  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pull the firewall out some. Then loosen the torx screws

    • @Scary_Stories_Uncovered
      @Scary_Stories_Uncovered 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      maxnguyen22 why is everyone saying this? That’s not what you do... you don’t have to bend sheet metal to take the brake booster out you simply disconnect it from the rod leading to the brake pedal loosen the two studs and it comes out...

    • @maxnguyen22
      @maxnguyen22  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Scary_Stories_Uncovered you can do it anyway you want. I didn't want to get under dash (break pedal area) and do anything. I am not a professional. I'm simply helping other people who want to get this done as fast and easy as possible. Thanks for your input. Bob.

      I’m just point out that there is always a right way to do something
      There is no need to brake things.. iv broken too many things on my B5 Passat to know that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
      Have a good one
