- The Downfall of Shibata Katsuie. Nioh 2 story explained. In this video I tell the story of Shibata Katsuie. This is a series of Nioh 2 lore I am in the process of creating. Shibata Katsuie from Nioh 2 is a historic figure in Japanese History, and his story closely mirrors the one told in Nioh 2.

I fought him earlier today, and really appreciate this video. Nioh is a game franchise that unfortunately doesn't have very many channels covering it's characters the way you do, so you have my thanks for creating this type of content.
I remember how I annoyed I was at Katsui for the mechanics of the fight in my first playthrough. Yet at the end of the long and gruelling fight I felt extremely sorry for the guy and about what transpired.
I wonder if you will do Tokichiro at some point. His journey is almost akin to Anakin’s fall and redemption.
Yeah Tokichiro is on the list. I'm considering doing the full Nioh story but I feel it will take some time!
I wish ppl did more stories about characters like this & go into full depth about nioh characters because the story can be real difficult to understand for new players . Btw this is a masterpiece video thank you 🙏🏼
This was an amazing story bro! I love Shibata, he's my 2nd favorite boss in nioh 2. I play a hatchets build because of him.

You should more lore videos but from Nioh 1 as well. There’s a lot of yokais in nioh 1 that has amazing lore like Hino Emma, Yuki Onna etc

Nice work man, I always loved nioh story and it's so sad that 90% of players really don't care about it and probably don't read any of the information given by the game. Also I love the descriptions on armors and weapons, of course it's semi-hystorical but man how much work has been done by team ninja? Truly a shame most people don't care about it but then praise dark souls lore.
