  • Hello everyone! In today's beginners belly dance tutorial video we're going to be covering how to belly roll like a pro!
    To get our professional belly rolls, we'll start by touching the points on our abdomen which we'll be using:
    1. Upper abdominals
    2. Lower ribcage
    3. Belly button
    4. Lower abdominals
    Using a combinations of contracting and expanding, we'll first expand the upper abdominals, then contract through points 1, 2, 3 and 4. Go slowly through and contract each point on your abdominal till you feel more confident with it - then start to smooth it out into a perfect belly roll! Don't forget to keep practising as a great belly roll does take time to perfect!

    If you're a beginner at belly dancing, you may find the moves challenging at first but don't worry the more you practise the easier they'll get!     difficult fo beginners. I dont feel four points for contract the belly :P too much points for first excercises...But technically- good view!

      Hi Katarzyna, I would recommend just keep touching those points with your hand and try contracting the abs at every point (just so your mind and muscles start working together :) ) - it'll take a lot of practise, but I promise it will work if you keep at it!

      ah yes, contracting the lower abs can feel like the difficult one! Keep pressing on the area, and contract the abdominals, whilst also tucking your hips under, and then releasing. Keep drilling that motion until it becomes easier and easier - I would recommend doing at least 3 mins a day for a few weeks :) xx

      Sure thing lovely! Is there anything in particular you find challenging with the belly roll? (So I know what to focus the video training on :) ) Don't forget the main thing is practice!! Try practising every day for about 3 minutes and I promise you'll see an improvement!! x
