    I cannot wait till you get her going! This is one of the most off the wall engine builds I've ever seen! Total props to you for making it all happen, most would say it's impossible and your killing it!

    The amount of time, dedication, care, and amazing ingenuity you are putting into this project is crazy man, I can't wait to see where it goes and how the power is going to come in. It's gonna sound better than the barra, and I can't wait to hear it make boost!!!

    Building my dream rat rod, I've always wanted to put a turbo 300 in an old hot rod and you are doing it! Awesome progress!

    I like how the down pipe turned out, cool detail. The charge pipes and headlights, that might be another challenge. Maybe some sort of pedestal? Let the tube go under the lights? Looking good, life should always come first.

    I was torn between a 350 and Nv3500 5 speed or a stock fuel injected 300 and 5 speed out of a 94 f150 in my 29. After watching this the 300 is looking a bit more appealing. I just wonder what I'd ha e to do to make the fuel injection and ignition system work as a stand alone and if I could somehow use the f150 instruments. I haven't found any info on making the stock harness standalone. I've found a little on doing it with a 302 harness but not enough and I haven't found any aftermarket harnesses at all.

    Interesting Update

  • @jackets64
    @jackets64 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve been looking into similar projects for fun and I discovered that a Chevy 250/292 inline 6 shares the exact same bore spacing as an SBC and an LS, meaning that putting an LS head on one of those could be even easier than on one of those than doing it on a Ford 300. Sounds like it would be a similarly interesting project to this one, with potentially a bit less work going into it!
    Edit: I forgot to mention, this is something that circle track racers way back when did with SBC heads which means it’s definitely possible, so that’ll be cool.

    • @Pistonranch
      @Pistonranch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your right the bore space is the same on that engine, would probably be a bit easier. Really making the head isn’t the hardest part, it’s making all the intake, exhaust, and supporting equipment. In my case the fuel management and intake were the hardest to make

    • @jackets64
      @jackets64 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Pistonranch yeah, I can imagine. It would definitely be cool to see though, and almost as unique as the your Ford 300 build lol

      I would love to find a shop in my in my erea that can make me a head like this but cut it with a water jet. Wonder of I could use cathedral port 5.3 LS heads for this. I can't do this work but I want a head like this.

    • @Pistonranch
      @Pistonranch  ปีที่แล้ว

      @markatkinson4043 I question why everyone cuts them square. Makes way more work. If you step cut you don’t have to mess with welding up bolt holes and redrilling. Then have to worry about leaks
