Hi Kevin. I agree 100%. I especially loved the boxes. They flipped up, with clear display windows showing organized pieces, and the back of the boxes showed alternate builds. They were magical back then and so special now.
At the age of 5 got this for Christmas 🎄. Still have this set to this day.....I remember building that set for the very first time and a hundred times after that. The only thing missing in the opening of the box at the start of the video, was the plastic round insert for the set........wish I kept that box and plastic piece ; have everything else. I know LEGO re released the 929, GEXPLR and have an alternate build.....wish they would’ve remade set with box art tho. That box and the art on the back was to look at for hours and just imagine the possibilities. Again great video and music - thx 4 making !!
Hi Marco. Great story! I wish I had the plastic piece that you mentioned. I do have the plastic insert for the Galaxy Explorer Set 497 build. I know what you mean with the box art and alternate build pictures. It's these small touches that make the vintage sets so special.
Lego was so beautiful back then.

Could you maybe show off the play features more
Hi Henderson. Thank you for the suggestion. I will incorporate it in my next build.
