I have been struggling with a Hasegawa AV8B , I don’t remember their GR7 being this much of an enthusiasm drain . I have paused the project for a dual Eduard P51B build . I’m hoping the sight of the Spanish AV8B at RIAT will help elevate mine back into production. *In other news , the GWH A10C has landed in model shops in the U.K. at long last, let’s see if us Hog fans get a truly decent A10 model after all these years, apparently they have sorted the engine fans . If it’s any good I’ll pray for an earlier A10A release from GWH to use up the stash of European 1 Hog decals I have saved for a truly deserving kit !😂 Good luck wrangling the SHAR , loving the channel 👍🏻
Hi Jamie I've made a few of the Kinetic Harrier family...Rewarding in the end! 😅. I noticed from the photos of the intakes, specifically the 'doors', that they hinge from the front not the rear...😬
Hi Jamie, am I seeing things or are your intake blow-in (suck-in? as they open when the main intake can’t provide enough air) doors modeled as being hinged at the back instead of at the front? I looked at the images you put up and maybe (hopefully) I’m misinterpreting them.
Good luck on the Harrier kit Jamie. 🍀 You’re the second modeller on TH-cam whom I follow that has flown into a sh*tstorm with the kit. I like a challenge but this one looks way beyond my skill and patience at this time - I’ll wait for a better kit of this aircraft to come along (want to do a Sharkey Ward ride). But I’m sure you will do an awesome job on it and I will be tempted by that. 😅
I used to work on the Harrier GR3 in the RAF and I can say the main undercarriage doors were always closed when the engine was not running, but you're right, they did have a slight droop so didn't look completely shut. The airbrake door was half open and the nose undercarriage doors were closed with hydraulic pressure after the engine shutdown. I'm sure you know this already , so just for reference. Keep up the great work!😀
Clive Caldwell’s aircraft is another great potential scheme for the Mk.VIII, although it’s often modeled in that scheme. There are also the Med. Sea Grey over PRU Blue aircraft with extended pointy wingtips that served in Italy.

I was interested in when do you decide to add aftermarket I have a euro fighter and rafale I want to do but stuck on if to go down the aftermarket route and wonder what you consider when you choose to add an aftermarket cockpit etc
Dead Pigeons indeed 😉- some aircraft look nice with wings/tails folded - I would like to do partially folded / unfolded subjects ( E-2C / C-1 / S-3 / A-6 / EA-6 / A-7) - It would be very cool to have automated kits but that is way beyond me. I was hoping to do the FRS.1 but you are putting me off at the moment. ( You are not the only Kinetic detractor )

It's all about the detail, I'll look at the various sets online then see if it's worth it.
