Athena and Ares are both gods of war. Athena is goddess of battle strategy and wisdom. Ares is god of brutality and slaughter. Greek gods could represent more than one thing,and their was some overlap in their domains.

16:20 that's a really good observation! On one end you have Annabeth who blindly worshipped and followed her mother only to be severely punished for one slight. Meanwhile Percy has no relationship with his dad at all, not even with his domain and yet Poseidon reached out to save Percy despite what he did.
As a non-book reader, I was really excited for the fourth episode of Percy Jackson. I have been enjoying the show so far and was interested to see what would happen next.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. The plot continued to develop in interesting ways and there were some great action sequences. I thought the special effects were really well done and added a lot to the excitement of the episode. The pacing of the episode was also good, with a good balance of action and character development.
One thing I really appreciated about this episode was the character development of Percy. We got to see more of his struggles and growth as a character, and it made him even more relatable. I also enjoyed seeing more of the supporting characters and learning more about their stories and backgrounds. It added depth to the overall narrative and made me more invested in their journeys as well.
As a book reader, I thought this episode did a good job of staying true to the source material. There were a few minor changes, but nothing that significantly altered the story. I appreciated that they were able to capture the essence of the book while also making it accessible to a wider audience.
Overall, I am excited to see where the show goes next and how the story continues to develop. I would definitely recommend it to both fans of the books and those who are new to the Percy Jackson universe. It's a fun and exciting show that keeps you hooked from episode to episode.
Percy and Annabeth might have the best demigod nicknames in the PJO universe "Wisdom's Daughter and the Son of the Sea" like I'm shaking in my boots, wish they'd use them more often in the books, hopefully in the show they will

they’re halfway through the book by the end of the episode! the chapter “i plunge to my death” is the 14th chapter in the books and there’s only 8 more chapters to go!
Excited to watch this reaction! Heard you said it's gonna be difficult to catch up, but as a matter of fact, I think they're gonna have to slow down the story in order to catch up. This episode ended about halfway through chapter 14, and there are 22 chapters, meaning we're 2 and a half chapters past halfway bookwise, soooo ... they're probably gonna add a lot of stuff? if that's the case then I mean ... NOT COMPLAINING.
i think the latter half chapters are much longer so i think we’re perfectly halfway
@@rainstorm. There are some longer chapters but shorter ones as well. The end of episode 3 is pretty much exactly halfway by both chapters and pages.

I knew of you through you and your mom (hope she’s doing well!) watching the flash so it’s awesome watching you react to another favorite property of mine 😊. Also too I love your wife’s theories because it’s something that I never would’ve thought about as a kid reading the books. I think you and another reactor understood why Annabeth asked if they were under arrest twice

I personally loved this episode a bit more than previous one and that it probably because this is actually THE FIRST TIME we get this scene on screen. What we saw in previous episodes was kinda touched on in the movie so getting the Chimera fight and Percy's fall on screen made me super excited. Plus we got to see more connection between Percy and Annabeth. Oh and I know which scene from Outlander you talked about and I feel you, as a woman I wanted to the square up with that dude too 😂Honestly that whole show can be summed up as "smart woman dealing with old fashioned rusty men 24/7".
LMAO! Yup! Outlander has some of the best villains and irky moments haha

If you’re still interested in reading books with mythology I suggest reading Magnus Chase! Another book by Rick that focuses on Norse mythology!
