You need to read the whole chapter to understand Hebrew 8:13. When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, the covenant he made with them is if they follow all His laws then Israel will be His people and they will all be blessed. But unfortunately Israel transgress the law and broke the covenant. Then God established a new covenant. Paul stated there is neither jew nor gentile, if you are all in Christ then you are all of God’s chosen people. If you have Christ in you the covenant will be that the law will be inscribed in your heart.

Yes of course. That is why God gave us his only begotten Son. We are not saved through works. Does not mean we can keep sinning and expect to be saved. Faith without works is dead
I am pretty sure TH-cam blocked LoveGuild's conversation on this matter. Other wise they would have been able to answer it. it was James 2:26 NKJV For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

What amazes me is that even Noah knew what animals were clean and unclean before the Torah was written down by Moses! And Cain and Abel knew what sacrifices were acceptable and unacceptable before there was a law written down by Moses. It has been there since the beginning?
Much of the traditions in the mosaic law were already observed by the patriarchs but neither the Catholic church or the Jews wanted to be known just how much so at the time the Bible and Tanakh canons were established. The book of Job as it exist in most bibles is from a very heavily censored manuscript tradition. In the Septuagint version there are a lot more details more detail on jobs family and wife his background him doing priestly things and observing aspects of the law. Job was one of the Edomite kings mentioned in Genesis before Israel had a king so Job's identity is obscured in the masoretic to give the impression he's just some random righteous rich guy in Arabia. Books like jubilees and testament of twelve patriarchs were excluded in part for the same reason patriarch era biblical figures manifesting familiarity with the law suggesting it was reintroduced at Sinai rather than debuting.
My husband and I were just discussing this last night! And yes - it was there in the beginning “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” We can equate word here to Torah. MHO.
John 1:8 If you say that we have no sin ,we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, if we confess our sins,he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. IF We say that we have not sinned, we make him a lier and his word is not in us
When the Lord commands us to come out of Babylon, this is part of that. In Revelation He warns that he will say to many on the day of judgement "depart from me you worker of iniquity (lawlessness)". So we should love His commandments. The Holy spirit led me to begin keeping sabbath, but it must not be despised or kept on your own strength or else you will despise it. But ask the Holy Spirit to help you to love His commands and He will. The bible says the sabbath is a Holy Delight! So I pray that when we keep sabbath and it began to actually feel like a delight. God bless you and lead you to all truth.

@@AaronThinks really? So he later ate it? Let me ask you this if god said to eat and you didn’t wouldn’t you go to hell? Or maybe that story meant something else? Bc Peter never did eat.
Also, to be consistent: Is Paul saying we do away with the Law of Christ by fulfilling it (Galatians 6:2)? (Same base Greek word.). No one would agree to that, so how can they then change the meaning in Jesus’ case in Matthew 5:17-especially when Jesus specifically qualifies His statement so as to prohibit interpretations of fulfill as abolish.
The same phraseology of ‘Law of Moses’ and ‘Law of Christ’ indicate a consistent meaning: The same Law, but delivered, and interpreted (part of Christ ‘fulfilling, making full’, and Moses consulting God in the tent about how to apply the Law), by Moses and the Christ. Consistency.

The big issue we have with this kind of view is that it doesn't discuss how Jesus fulfilled God's ceremonial requirements for sin. Jesus paid our debt indefinitely with his one sacrifice he made therefore All sacrifices made for sin recorded in the Law is obsolete. In regards to the dietary laws, we know that God changed that because he had his Apostles write about these adjustments to how the law is being kept in there letters and epistles. For example, God's revelation he gave Peters in Acts 10 saying "Do not call what I have made clean unclean" and then Paul's breakdown in Colossians chapter 2 about how the Gentile believers shouldn't let anyone judge them in regards to keeping old testament sacraments and holy days because faith in Christ has taken that place as there observation. Paul also ha san entire letter dedicated to addressing this issue with the church in Galatia.

@@user-yh3cy8tj1d When you read Colossians 2:14 in context. It is about sinners who used to live in the flesh. But now they have been baptised with Christ and now are made alive. So the debt was forgiven not paid, because the sin has stopped.
I was raised in a very devout Catholics family (both sides) but since I came to the States when I was 20 I kind of stopped going to Church. I'm in my early 40s now and for a few yrs I've been trying to work my way back to God by reading scriptures here and there online. I'm afraid to read the Bible and misinterpret it since I'm used to only listening to Priests at Church.. I don't want to follow Denomination anymore, but then I'm worried that I'm missing out on the worshipping that it gets done during masses on Sundays. (BTW I've been practicing my Sabbath as Friday sunset till Saturday sunset). But my question is....Biblically speaking, Can you please tell me how do I worship God by myself at home? In what way do I worship God without going to Church? What did Jesus say about worshipping? I want to try and make my God happy the right ways, biblically and not some make up ideas. I'm no scholar so I would love to hear some feedback on this please. Thank you and God bless all ❤🙏.
I broke the chains of Rome! I have been putting all the pieces together for the last couple of years with hours of study each night... And I'm now in full Retreat of Western theology And it's traditions Which Are heavily influence by paganism. The best you can do is find like minded people and Start learning Yah's Holy days, Pay attention to them and search for their Deeper meaning And you We'll find YESHUA! It is a strange road to walk at the beginning You are filled with great joy and sadness Because you are leaving all the that you have ever known your whole life.
You worship God by being a living sacrifice. Two things are needed for salvation. Repentance and faith. Obedience is not a requirement of faith it us a result of saving faith You can’t earn Gods favour Christ has accomplished reconciliation to those who believe. This great joy of Christ is only to whom Gods favour rests. It doesn’t rest on everyone. What the law couldn’t do which is bring salvation Christ did. The law made us aware of sin but Christ delivered us from sin. The law can’t do that. Christ fulfilled what the law couldn’t do. We are no longer under the law because Christ is the fulfillment of the law . Christ is our all in all. He is sufficient for our salvation. Therefore the law isn’t abolished but we no longer live by the law or accountable to it. This video doesn’t explain how we keep the law. What parts? All of them or some of them. We don’t offer sacrifices anymore. So why should we keep the other parts of the law. The laws we keep are gods dispositional will. Laws that equate with Gods moral perfect character These laws yes we keep and these attributes are a result of humility and obedience as we walk out it faith. We surrender all to Christ because only Christ can save us not the law. If we keeping the Torah law we are accountable to all of it and good luck with that. The law points out our futility in trying to keep it. Because we can’t
The following text was found as a comment on a different video: The ten commandments are God's law which Jesus summed up in two - love God and love your neighbour. Which law God writes on the heart in The New Covenant arrangement. That is the law that is still and always will be in force. And it is not a law that we obey. It is a law we live by the indwelling Spirit of God. Do you know the difference between the two covenants? It is simply this: The Old Covenant was based on the wow, oath and promise of Israel to keep it. They could not even last 40 days before they set up the golden calf. Whereas The new Covenant is God's wow, oath and promise to cause His people to walk in and live by His law by the power of His indwelling Spirit. It is based on better promises - God's promise.
To exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees the Lord Jesus Christ was saying that we have to put on His Righteousness. The scribes and Pharisees moved in their own righteousness but we must put on the Lord Righteousness by Repenting and being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and being filled with the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38

The Beast tried to confuse this topic but יהוה has made it clear. It's simple the temple sacrifices were replaced with the death of יהושע (Jesus) If you are not circumcised on the 8th day, you cannot keep that command, however you can be forgiven (parent) or still saved on judgement day (child) It is written “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)

@@rotaryenginepete This seems to be a minority translation, if not the only version that translates that word as "globe". If you actually want to know what the word is, check out the Hebrew instead of the only English translation that agrees with what you already believe. English only attempts to convey the meaning of the inspired scriptures. The Greek Septuagint would be another good place to look at the Greek word used there, and neither the Hebrew or Greek say sphere or globe. The Hebrew is Strong's 92 (אגדה ) Aguddah, which means a band, bunch, knot, troop, arch or vaulted dome (which would be our firmament) Greek is Strong's G1860 (ἐπαγγελίαν) root word Epangelia, which basically means promise
As for Israelites living today, being in the lands of our captivity we still must practice the righteous acts even tho we live in tribulation and poverty under the other 17 heathen nations. So then do you stone your children to death for being bad ? ““Anyone who dishonors father or mother must be put to death. Such a person is guilty of a capital offense.” Leviticus 20:9
Even when I was a dispensationalist, I knew deep down that the difference between "abolishing the Law" and "fulfilling the Law to where it is rendered obsolete" is splitting hairs. It just didn't make any sense. And yet I stood by it, because that has always been the traditional Protestant position (pitting Law against grace). The contradiction never did sit right with me, though. However, now that my eyes are open, I can clearly see that Jesus didn't abolish or render the Law obsolete! He lived the Law, fulfilled it, and gave it a renewed meaning for His disciples.
It's called the law of Moses, NOT because he wrote it down, but spoken to him by God. The ten commandments did NOT come through Moses. The entire 12 tribes HEARD God declare the ten commandments, thus, Mt. 4:4, 19:17, and 22:36-40. Jesus declared the new covenant, as the ten commandments.
A little study of Hebrews, the letter written to the people who had the laws and prophets, and you'll see this issue was specifically addressed precisely to tackle the video above. Heb 7:11 (KJV) If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, 16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. 17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. HEBREW 7:11-19 If there is no change in the priesthood, then there is no change in the law. IF there is a change in the priesthood, there IS a CHANGE in the law. Different tribe, different priest (one who is a son and a priest) and one who introduced a better hope (in contrast to the old way of the Mosaic Law) in which we draw near to God. Heb 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? In other words...if you DONT CHANGE YOUR PRIEST, you are in trouble because the beginning of Hebrews 10 says the Old Covenant could not deal with your sin at all, in fact it was an annual reminder of sin and made you feel guilty. Only in Jesus can you be free and approach God. And it is by faith alone (the whole point of Hebrews 11) , lest any man boast (Eph 2:9) [in keeping the law/self righteousness]...Romans 10 contrasts this self righteousness by self effort being zealous but not on the gift, but rather trying to earn it by the Law. Gal 3 highlights this beautifully in calling it WITCHCRAFT to try to earn God's goodness by the Law (self-effort) rather than receiving His gift. To answer the Matthew 5 argument specifically, please continue to read the rest of the context. Jesus says unless your righteousness exceeds the attempts by the Pharisees, you will not succeed. He's not saying "The Pharisees were not trying hard enough, but maybe YOU (the listener) can try harder than them". He's saying the point of the system of the Law was to expose your lack of faith in Him and that you CANNOT approach God by your own works. His extreme examples of looking at a women in lust or even thinking in anger makes you an adulterers and murderer is not a call to tempt you to try harder - it's an exposure that by God's perfect, good, holy and righteous standards, that we are all lost and under His Righteous wrath. That's why Matthew 5 ends with YOU SAY "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy but I (JESUS) tell you 'love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you'....contrasting the systems of Moses and Jesus (John 1:17). If we live in His righteousness as a free gift, NOT ATTEMPTING to become righteous by the Law (which cannot make you perfect), then in relationship with God, we will actually uphold the law of Moses. This is not about the keeping of list of requirements of the law, but reaching that which the pathway that the Law pointed to in approaching God, being called righteous. This way was NEVER open under the Old Covenant (Heb 9:8). The Old Cov simply exposes your lack of faith and your lack of righteousness, and therefore our drawing close to God is by a new and LIVING way...not a work or a list of efforts by the Law. Upholding the Law is not DOING the Law, its receiving the result of Jesus' perfection and fulfillment of the Law. In the Spirit, we will actually produce fruit (not works) from that relationship that will also look like it fulfils the Law, but it's so much better than that old fading Glory (2 Cor 3) Read Paul talk about circumcision - one of the core tenants of the Jewish faith and the Law. Going to have to throw out 75% of what is called the New Covenant in the Bible to continue believing we are under the Mosaic Law. We've been released from the bondage of the law and we belong to Christ now (Gal 5:1-2 and Rom 7:4)...OR you are still under Law and DO NOT belong to Christ...you choose, but you cannot be in the Old AND the New Covenants, the wine skin will tear and the wine will spill (Matt 9:14-17). peace
For all who rely on works of the law are under a CURSE; for it is written, “CURSED be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” Galatians 3:10-12
I would like to believe that this teaching is true. Keeping the Mosaic law is beautiful. However your interpretation and translation of the word fulfill is problematic. Pleroo from the concordance does not reflect your definition. You are adding your own interpretation to match your Torah keeping theology.
Can a calling by the Father come without a realization of the law's importance, of our inability to keep the law (which is spiritual), and of Jesus' sacrifice being our only atonement in paying the penalty for our transgressions? Additionally, I'm wondering if mainstream Christianity's disavowing of the law did not inhibit its actual existence through the millennia. Does one actually become a Christian prior to resurrection, when the law will be written within our hearts? Would such explain how that the Jews may become the first (Zech. 12:7; Rom. 1:16; 2:9-10)?
Coming from a traditional Baptist church, you think, well here is another passage that we need help to understand...be cause if you read it for what it says, Yeshua himself tells us to obey the Torah...all of it
It's easy. The laws we can keep (Cause the Temple isn't around anymore) - we keep. The one's we can't, like the temple sacrifices, we don't because there is no temple. But everything possible, like the Shabbat, Kosher eating etc. we do it.

The law was never givin to the gentiles . Paul never asked the Jews to stop observing the sabbath, but did tell them not to make it binding on the gentiles.
When Christ fulfilled the killing of the passover lamb, which was a commandment in the law, didn't the practice of killing the lamb become obsolete. I think you misconnect the clauses in Matt 5:18. "Not one jot or tittle will pass from the law UNTIL ALL is fulfilled. Circumcision and the priesthood, for example, DID pass from the law and these were not just jots and tittles. Since they passed away, then all must have been fulfilled. The "until heaven and earth pass away" is simply an introductory phrase that notes the surety of what follows. I don't think any serious Christian would advocate for circumcision or an intermediary Levitical priesthood, or other obsolete requirements under the law, so we can't say the old covenant law is still binding.
There are 613 laws that was specific for that particular group of people and that particular time. Even if we wanted to follow all 613 laws it would be impossible. However we should follow Gods 10 commandments

Hebrews 8:13 “by calling this covenant “new”, he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.” [NIV]❤

The following text was found as a comment on a different video:
The ten commandments are God's law which Jesus summed up in two - love God and love your neighbour.

The Hebrew is Strong's 92 (אגדה ) Aguddah, which means a band, bunch, knot, troop, arch or vaulted dome (which would be our firmament)
Greek is Strong's G1860 (ἐπαγγελίαν) root word Epangelia, which basically means promise

Finally a Christian that says we should keep the law
So then do you stone your children to death for being bad ?
““Anyone who dishonors father or mother must be put to death. Such a person is guilty of a capital offense.”
Leviticus 20:9
where is the freedom then? I am so confused. Say you kept one law, yk well enough you cant keep the rest. What then?
Even when I was a dispensationalist, I knew deep down that the difference between "abolishing the Law" and "fulfilling the Law to where it is rendered obsolete" is splitting hairs. It just didn't make any sense. And yet I stood by it, because that has always been the traditional Protestant position (pitting Law against grace). The contradiction never did sit right with me, though. However, now that my eyes are open, I can clearly see that Jesus didn't abolish or render the Law obsolete! He lived the Law, fulfilled it, and gave it a renewed meaning for His disciples.
Why is it called 119 ministries
HEBREW 7:11-19
If there is no change in the priesthood, then there is no change in the law.
In the Spirit, we will actually produce fruit (not works) from that relationship that will also look like it fulfils the Law, but it's so much better than that old fading Glory (2 Cor 3)
Read Paul talk about circumcision - one of the core tenants of the Jewish faith and the Law. Going to have to throw out 75% of what is called the New Covenant in the Bible to continue believing we are under the Mosaic Law. We've been released from the bondage of the law and we belong to Christ now (Gal 5:1-2 and Rom 7:4)...OR you are still under Law and DO NOT belong to Christ...you choose, but you cannot be in the Old AND the New Covenants, the wine skin will tear and the wine will spill (Matt 9:14-17).
peace
Roman's 6:23 Sin leads to death
Clear as mud.
the law is required but his statement about paul is untrue. Paul was apposed to the law. The teachings of Christ and Paul are totally apposite
For all who rely on works of the law are under a CURSE; for it is written, “CURSED be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.”
Galatians 3:10-12
Coming from a traditional Baptist church, you think, well here is another passage that we need help to understand...be cause if you read it for what it says, Yeshua himself tells us to obey the Torah...all of it
Animal or grain offering described in the Torah are not required anymore. Could you describe this change in the law?
It's easy. The laws we can keep (Cause the Temple isn't around anymore) - we keep.
The one's we can't, like the temple sacrifices, we don't because there is no temple.
But everything possible, like the Shabbat, Kosher eating etc. we do it.
Please help me understand how we are to do the sacrifices at the temple since we no longer have the priests nor the temple?
Psalms 111 : 7,8,10. The only law God wrote down using His own Hands as the ten Commandments.
Malachi 3:6 For I god do not change, therefore you o children of Jacob are not consumed
@ Dana Leanne I noticed that you have a lot to say in here. What do you have to say about when we gather back to Christ? Thanks
@ Dana Leanne Your reply vanished. I don't know why you would assume that I don't love the LORD. I most certainly do & from a very young age, 72 now. I respect the fact that you don't want to say whether you're pre, mid or post tribulation gathering back to Christ. I asked my Bible teacher back in 1995 & he said that it would happen when it happens & we are to be trying to bring people into the Kingdom of Heaven. I prayed to Our Father for the Truth & he led me to post tribulation. LORD bless
@Lionheart Merrill I'm sorry was getting hate mail from someone,I thought you were them and trying to say I wasn't going to be with God.When I realized my mistake I took it down.Oh and I'm 66 and have lung cancer and I belive at the last trumpet. God comes here .So I belive we are hear for the tribulations.. and God bless you also.Again I'm sorry for the mistake I made .In revalation it says he comes back on the last trumpet, and it's no secret, everyone see it. It also says the mystery of god is finished. No secret rapture. He dosnt come back twice .That's what I get from my reading and praying.
@@danaleanne38 Absolutely no problem. I get a lot of hate myself for putting out Truth to Muslims, atheists, agnostics, cults, etc. You're right, the Lord Jesus said that he that endureth, endure until the end shall be saved. I ask you Father to please heal Dana from lung cancer/with His stripes we are healed, thank you Father, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
@Lionheart Merrill thank you for your prayers, look me up in the new Jerusalem.😇
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your ministry.
But why on earth must you brainwash me with that horrible numbing programming "music" background??
Concise, clear, unambiguous explanation: Can I listen pracefully to the teaching, please?
Jesus said that you should write the low inside your heart so you should not folow the law only cause its law and only from fear of penalty but you should have that law inside your heart so frrom your heart you wil folow that law not only from fear
The law was never givin to the gentiles . Paul never asked the Jews to stop observing the sabbath, but did tell them not to make it binding on the gentiles.
Very well done
The 10 Commandments are binding upon all true Christians (1 John 3:4; 5:3; Revelation 22:14).
Amen!
There are 613 laws that was specific for that particular group of people and that particular time. Even if we wanted to follow all 613 laws it would be impossible. However we should follow Gods 10 commandments
There are 1050 New Testament Commandments. The law has relevance but It can't be kept. The Law is our school master that shows us why we need a savior
So all of the hundreds of laws / rules / commandments are to be lived by today. Don’t mix fabrics etc.?
Yes
@Keler...if you are an Israelite we must practice these righteous acts. Shalom
