I've been terrified and praying for an answer to this very thing and finally yesterday put away fear and fully trusted that Yah would guide me to the truth. Then I find this video today. Thank you for being of service to your fellow believers. Shalom and many blessings to you my friend.
I've had people tell me that being told that we must follow the law "scares" people into thinking they won't be "good enough" to be saved and so we shouldn't teach that. People being scared certainly does not mean that we shouldn't teach commandment keeping, that's completely illogical, but I would like to give you some comfort. I'd like to say that commandment keeping is required, but it isn't about being "good enough". We aren't "earning" our salvation by keeping the commandments, we are loving God. It isn't about being perfect, it's about trying and learning and growing. David "kept the commandments", but we all know that he made some very serious mistakes, but God still says he "kept my commandments". John says this: " He that is born of God does not sin, for he cannot sin because His seed remains in him. But if we do sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us" Don't be terrified, it's about having a heart to obey God, not about being perfect. Do your best, out of love for God. That's what it's about and what it has always been about from the beginning of time. It's the people who outright reject God's law who should be terrified, not you. Shalom. 😊 Ok, so I watched the video and they basically said the same thing. Disregard my comment. 🤣😂
If the law is still applicable to christians today why did jesus bother going to calvary paul stated we are no longer under the law we are under grace??
As a no-native english speaker, thanks for your english very clear and not fast and thanks also for subtitles that can help for some words. Shabbat shalom.
Absolutely a fantastic effort young man. Point by point precision teaching is what is sooo desperately needed. Hard teaching like this is like being disciplined in a way like was written in Hebrews 12:11-13. It's kinda like The Lord is pulling me up to say ...You need to listen to this VERY carefully "Be trained by it." 🤔
Thank you so much for breaking this down with such love and grace. I’m so excited to obey YWH’s commandments now by the mighty working of His Spirit within me ❤ “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” {1 John 5:3} Shalom!
Agreed, Its my favourite too. Its clear and repeated over and over to the point of frustration. And then to remove all doubt Christ says until heaven and earth pass away that the Law will stand unchanged. Matthew 5:17-20 was so clear and goes into extreme detail, because Christ knew that people were going to try and twist his words on this subject...
I agree... but yet dispensational theology says the opposite. It's simply amazing to me that people can't believe what Yeshua said. (that verse always bothered me when I was a dispensationalist)
Many people claim that all you have to do is believe in Him and you will be permanently saved and point out verses to prove their case. When pointed out verses that say otherwise, they twist it to mean something else. Apparently, believing in Him does not include believing everything that He says.
@@robertschmidt9296 Today I'm revisiting the teachings from the church I used to belong to. I'm looking for the root cause of why they believe the Laws of God was done away with. I see two basic problems: 1. Simply parroting what others in that church say. 2. Having a presupposition of dispensation.. and then cherry picking verses (many verses) that appear to support that understanding. What I came to see is that when we look at the WHOLE Bible as a single image of Yah and man relationship... its quite easy to see that His Laws are eternal. One of the tell tale indicators for me is when I hear someone say "old law".
Very well said, man! Keep up the good work in advancing the Will of the Kingdom. You have no idea the blessing you guys have been to those who've been struggling with topics like this, especially in regard to those that believe the truth of righteous living. Though in their heart they fully know and empathize with the social disconnect as it concerns the various issues of dispensationalism versus Torah keeping, it can be quite difficult to settle those matters within the realms of discussion and debate. For this reason, I give this ministry such high praise and corresponding reproof on account of how 119 Ministries has been tasked with equipping God's people with spiritual weapons of warfare. May our aim be true and ever be guided by the Father's Right Hand. Blessings and shalom 🕊
@@chrislivingston9886that's just an out right lie and no where in the bible does it teach that nor do the versus you cherry picked prove your false teaching. John 14:15 ," if you love me, keep my commands." This single passage makes clear you are teaching a false teaching.
While that is true...define love. Many have their own understanding of that word. What does Jesus say love is? What defines God's definition of love apart from everyone else's own version? Is it just thinking pleasant thoughts about God, and being nice to people? Even Satanists believe in doing whatever you want so long as you don't harm others. Is the law of Christ in line with Satanists?? Or could it be something completely different?
@@siranthonybrownpodcast maybe watch it again and asked father God to give you understanding. They are called Moses Law because he was the mediator by which the people received God's covenant instructions. The new Covenant is God's law written on our heart. Sorry that's all I have time for at this moment.
I enjoy listening to your videos while I play Xbox one 😅😂😊 Great teachings. I appreciate it brother. The most push back we get from our faith is these exact scriptures you are speaking about. I appreciate you helping us spiritually defend our faith
Thank you Brother David for this awesome explanation, specially about Paul's teaching methods and politeness to reach other...Now it makes A LOT of sense the way you explain it and clears Paul's reputation of using tricks with his targeted audience. Thank you so much for your hard work on helping us unlearn the lies. Blessings to you and your family! 🌹🌹🌹
Law of Christ Jesus Questioned; What is the greatest commandment? Mark 12:29-34 Jesus' Answer; The Ten Commandments are the greatest commandment. Deuteronomy 6:4-8
We love because He first loved us, not because laws written on pages but because of the law written on our hearts (new covenant). If you haven't learned what love is, then follow the law on the page. When you grow up and become a man, you will put away childish things.
The same law in our hearts and mind..so we be obedient to God with love, with willingness, we see it good for our life..we love God and do his will for a relationship and not reglion..anything done from heart and mind with our soul is pure worship in full relationship with the father through his son.
Excellent presentation guys! There are so many aspects of Judah's (rabbinic judaism) and Ephraim's (christianity) 'hallakah' which require the outright ignoring of the plain and simple readings of scripture, AND to ignore so much which contradicts those 'doctrines'. Many of these untenable doctrines of religion are obvious (on the surface level), but it is of great help when someone presents the aggregate collection of thoughts, which can be expounded into the WHOLE of the Word of YHWH.
Even though the New testament wasn't written yet, what the 12 apostles were preaching at the time would have concurred with what was written in the New testament. In other words, the spoken gospel at that time is fully reflected in the New testament.
They taught the word of God through Jesus' teachings, a much clearer understanding of what God truly requires.. a relationship with his ppl .not reglion, not traditions of men. ..it's always been so...relationship with God from the heart..when you love from the heart, love truly..n always want to please God
Hebrews 10:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Gallations 6: 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
I think an important detail is when Paul says we aren’t under The Law (Hypo Nomon) He doesn’t actually say He is “under The Law” of Messiah (under is bad) but rather “In The Law/Lawful/Legal (Ennomos) of Messiah. If being under (which is bad) The Law (Which is Good), we can’t say it’s Good to be under (which is bad) The Law of Messiah (which is Good). However being In (which isn’t bad) The Law of Messiah (which is Good), can be consistent with not being under The Law if hypo Nomon and Ennomos do not mean the same thing. If we are in The Faith, we are ➡️neither Under⬅️ The Law of G-d nor The Law of His Son, Yeshu’a The Messiah (Subject to Messiah’s punishment?), but as an expression of our Faith, we should act ➡️In⬅️ The Law/Lawfully to The Law of G-d and The Law of His Son Yeshu’a The Messiah. A small linguistic detail that anomians might overlook, but can have have significant implications.
I just love you guys! Watching you for years. I have a question... When y'all go to dinner with this Woodie Allen impersonator does he wave his arms around like when he talks? I bet he's throwing food everywhere! 😂 I tease because I love ya! Y'all do a wonderful, amazing, thorough job EVERY TIME! You guys are spirit-led and it shows! Great teaching! Very thorough. Maybe insert more "selah"s or pauses in audio. Maybe show a scripture and 5 to 10 seconds of silence to rest the ears and to contemplate the passage??
Romans 7. 6 but now we are delivered from the law that being dead wherein we were held, that we should serve in newness of sprit and NOT in the oldness of the LETTER ie written law.
When commenting on the law of Christ, you should not ignore the most important words of Jesus himself. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.(John13:34) The important and central teachings of Christianity were taught by Jesus to his disciples and were completed when Jesus was taken up into heaven. Before the disciples began writing the New Testament, The teaching of Christianity was already completed, including the law of Christ. It is the beginning of the gospel and the word of life that John says, "Heard from the beginning." That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (1Jn 1:1) Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. (1Jn 2:24) For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. (1Jn 3:11) This is the law of God written in the Christian heart, the code of the new covenant.
We have a new covenant. Our high priest entered the heavenly sanctuary, once and forever. The Mosaic covenant is a shadow of heavenly reality. The law of Moses was valid as a master, untill Christ.
I keep the Sabbath according to the Jerusalem time zone. Does anyone else have that knowledge? Since in America, there is a 9 to 10 hour difference. Jerusalem Israel starts there Sabbath on Friday evening, on our Friday in America it's morning around 9:00 to 10:00 am.
That's an interesting take on it. I choose to use the starting of a new day (erev Shabbat) as the sun is setting here where I live. Consider this.. in western Asia minor they were several time zones after Israel. Yet the Apostolic writings didn't reference keeping Jerusalem time. Rather they just stated it as being kept.
The bible does mentioned some important examples of keeping the proper appointed time, (Daniel 9:21) Even in Babylon Daniel prayed according to the (time) of the evening Sacrifice in (1 Kings 18:36) Elijah waiting for the time of the evening Sacrifice to pray to God. Timing is important I'm sure the apostles knew this.
I personally keep time with the sun in my area. I don’t live on the grid(as it is established by a foreign”mighty authority” not by YWHW’s people). So having a working clock is already a luxury for me. To do all the math for a different time zone, and make sure I’m correct on days and timing is really quite cumbersome. So I view the days end as whenever the sun sets wherever you are. But I would love to hear more on this subject of keeping Jerusalem time. Considering that the events in the last days will be happening on one time zone (as Passover did and I’m sure Shavuot) and not many (plural) time zones as I just stated and currently practice.
@@samueldeleon5339 Yes, I do. It's the only way, the body of Messiah can enjoy a 24-hour Sabbath rest together. Praise the Most High and blessings be upon you!
I’m trying to be as honest with Scripture (Tanakh and Brit Chadashah both) as I can. This is a complex thing to study. I’ve been grappling with this for a while, and still don’t know where I stand. I have a few questions, some of which are: 1) If not a hot or tittle passes away from the Law, then why don’t we stone to death those the Law commands to stone? For that matter, why didn’t Jesus stone the woman caught in adultery? I get that it was mercy and exposed self-righteousness, but it is commanded to stone such a person. I don’t know how to resolve the tension. 2) What are we to make of commandments that are impossible to keep without a tabernacle/temple, ark, etc.? 3) In Hebrews it says that the law changed by necessity of the new and better priesthood (Levitical vs Melchizedek). So if the Torah/Tanakh speak to the laws of the Levitical priesthood, how do we discern the difference between those and the priesthood of Melchizedek? If the law didn’t change one bit, then what does that verse mean? 4) Why did the apostles and elders of the Jerusalem church in Acts 15 conclude that it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and them that they don’t trouble the gentiles more than the few commandments they gave, especially when it’s obviously not an exhaustive list since it doesn’t include witchcraft for example, which is clear from Scripture that will keep someone out of heaven? On that note, why does Paul seem to go against what seemed good to the Holy Spirit by telling believers not to worry about eating food sacrificed to idols? I have more, but I think this would be a good start to help me make some more headway in this topic. I think I have a vague idea of 2 and 4, but I’m especially curious about 1 and 3. I appreciate any help with this 🙏 God bless whoever reads this and whoever helps make the reading of Scripture clear as they did in Nehemiah 8!
This channel has a video on ALL of the points. My friends how long will you break the commandments of god? Not for salvation, but for righteous living... as it has been from the beginning. Ham amity was never saved by doing the law or else that’s were we would have pride. The adultery woman COULD NOT BE STONED because is was against the law to stone only the woman and not the man. The man had to be present to stone lawfully or else he they would be breaking the law if they stoned only one of them. Don’t forget Jesus said not to forget the HEAVIER matters of the law, which is love justice and mercy. That is no way means all the other laws are of no importance. Bro, you need to stop being ignorant like I was and start READING YOUR BIBLE like I decided and stop making quick conclusions and following what others say. Read the BIBLE!
@@christfollower8256 I’m trying here, man. God only knows if my intentions are true. If you wouldn’t mind, though, show me from the Torah what you said about it being unlawful to carry out the required sentence unless both parties were present
@littlefishbigmountain Two passages indicate that both adulterers must die: Lev 20:10, Deut 22:22. As you read John 8, focus on verses 4 to 6. Verse 4: Because the woman was caught in the very act, the man was there and could/should have been seized, too. Verse 5: The scribes and Pharisees distorted the Law of Moses by applying it only to the woman, and not the man. Verse 6: Their motive was to test Jesus and have grounds for an accusation. Jesus, of course, was not fooled. Hope this helps! Be blessed.
If all the mosaic laws are still in effect in their entirety, why aren't Jews today sacrificing to God. No temple is necessary to fulfill that as many OT ppl were practicing sacrificial laws long B4 Solomon built the temple ? Also, Jesus stated in the NT that if one kept loving God with all ur mind, heart & soul ( 1st commandment) and loving ur neighbor as yourself, they were fulfilling the whole law.
I suppose that modern Jews don't sacrifice to God, because they don't _want_ to, and any rabbi who says otherwise is either lying or has been lied to by others.
Paul wrote Galatians after the council in Jerusalem. Before the meeting Paul and Barnabas had already well-established Churches with elders in Antioch for at least a year. Then some so called Jewish believers (false ones really gal 2:4) came to these churches telling them they needed to follow the law of Moses, while Paul and Barnabas were away spreading the gospel. That's why the meeting was held. Galatians 2 speaks of this very thing. Paul taught the churches everything revealed to him through Christ. If the law is Moses was central in his teachings, there would have been no need for the meeting in Jerusalem....
Paul was teaching that a Gentile did not have to be circumcised in the flesh. Read Galatians in context. He was speaking of the law of circumcision. A gentile does not have to be physically circumcised to be saved. Salvation is for all nations. If Paul had any problem with the law given to Moses then why was it the foundation of all his teachings? He quotes the Law and the Prophets over and over again. He taught what his Messiah taught.
How do we justify that we no longer need animal sacrifice? Obviously, these laws are no longer necessary. Jesus is the SUPREME sacrifice, so truthfully we cannot say, nothing has changed. I'm studying these teachings and following Sabbath and Festivals, but others really AREN'T being done by Messianic congregations. I am TOTALLY on board with keeping all ten Commandments, not just 9.
Hey there hope all is good. I hope some of the ideas I present are helpful to the question that you have. What was the purpose of animal sacrifices? At least the animal sacrifices that pertained to atonement and sin ritual purity etc.. The blood of Yeshua provides a superior sacrifice then what the animal sacrifices could offer. As it pertains to the above types of sacrifices I mentioned. And since he provides a superior atonement that is how we can justify not needing animal sacrifices in regards to those specific issues. It is also due to the blood of Messiah that we now have access to better promises promises that the Mosaic Covenant did not offer. You see the renewed Covenant that God has given us, as prophesied by Jeremiah Ezekiel even Moses himself in Deuteronomy chapter 30, a promise of a renewed life a transformation of the spirit itself through circumcision of the heart It Is by this that we know we will have glorified bodies that we will live for eternity. The Mosaic Covenant did not offer such a thing because the atonement system provided within that Covenant could not produce what was needed the blood of animals could not overcome sin and death to that extent only the blood of Yeshua. This is how we can justify why we no longer need animal sacrifices. Aside from that as it involves the animal sacrifices that have nothing to do with atonement or ritual Purity Etc as there are plenty of those it's a moot point because we do not have the temple currently in existence. Which is to say you couldn't do the sacrifices even if you wanted to. I hope that perhaps what I have said helps answer your question may God bless you!
Yeshua is High priest of Israel One of the high priest jobs is to offer sacrifice to Yah And he Yeshua I have faith is doing his job as high priest of Israel in the heavenly temple and for those grafted in the commonwealth of Israel Praise to Yah for his obedient son high priest The anointed one
Some laws define sin, some laws were about how to punish those who sinned, some laws ( sacrifices ) were for propitiation of sin. Laws defining sin haven't changed. We actually CAN'T do sacrifices because there is no temple or levitical priesthood, but there will be sacrifices during Yahshua's 1000 year reign, but in any case, those laws didn't define sin. Keep the commandments that define sin, including the Sabbath commandments.

You have a problem with your interpretation. The phrase law or the prophets is a phrase meaning all the law and all the prophets. So the Greek word nomos doesn't mean a different law or just the ten commandments. Context tells you what the scripture is speaking about. CONTEXT is key. The context that Jesus Christ is giving is the law and the prophets all of it because that's what that phrase biblical means because the law and the prophets is what testifies of Christ and one example includes animal sacrifices because he is the lamb sacrifice. All the law and all the prophets is the contextual meaning. If it was just the ten then you would also have to say which prophets , because it couldn't be all the prophets but only part of the law because then the phrase is inconsistent.
Okay, If one walks according to the Spirit and in so doing fulfills the Torah, why is there a need to pay strict attention to following the details of the written ordinances of the Law if the Law is effectively upheld and established by walking in the Spirit?
Brother with all respect I think your using the King James Version because the messianic Bible is super clear on the subject and it’s translation is more clear then that version that your using
I'll just say it here and now, that if you guys at 119 are not the modern day descendants of Zadok I would be very confused, when I get to the temple in the coming kingdom and see you there I'll be bringing some baklava with. May your paths to the Kingdom be made straight.
I think that you should reread Galations, Paul says that we are free from the law of Moses. We no longer need to be slaves to the law because it has condemned us, instead we have freedom that comes with faith in Christ. That is all we need to have to be counted right in Gods eyes, we simply need faith in Christ. And for those looking for laws to follow, follow the Holy Spirits guidance. The Holy Spirit will lead you to do what is right and tell you not to do what is wrong.
galatians talks about salvation through obedience to the law, which is not right, salvation is of faith. Obedience to the law is only the fruits of salvation.
Hello and good morning! I have a question. According to Leviticus 13:1, we are to go to the priest for skin rash or spots. Are we not to go to doctors? I'm not trying to cause strife, only a little one learning to crawl.
We have no priests today. So IMO we do the best we know how to do. I for one do NOT run to Dr's first. I choose clean food, clean water, and just being careful about what I'm exposed to. Yes we will all get sick and we will all die. But modern medicine is a money making and power hungry system. IMO... stay away unless necessary.
6 months later I hope you got your answer. But no, just go to a doctor. What's important though is for us to understand the spiritual and prophetic teaching of the passage. If there is any stain of sin in your actions/life you need to go to Christ and get a washing of the Spirit. Check out Leviticus 14:33-53 and ask yourself if God is truly concerned about mold in your house or is He telling us End Times prophecy and the order in which Yeshua returns? First He calls believers out of the world, then He gives the world 7 years, after the 7 years He returns to remove the ideological plagues of atheistic secular humanism (reddish mold) and Islam (greenish mold). But regarding the literal application, the Jews living in Israel (especially during the Millennial Reign of Messiah) are required to perform the laws literally, they are the sign bearers. Us Gentiles are the observing audience, watching them carry out the laws asking ourselves what they mean.
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, *Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?* Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, *keep the commandments.* Matthew 19:18 He saith unto him, *Which?* Jesus said, *Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,* Matthew 19:19 *Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.* _In Matthew 19:16 a man asks, “Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?”_ _Matthew 19:17 Jesus replies, “... keep the commandments.”_ _Matthew 19:18 the man then asks, “Which?” (meaning “which” commandments)._ _Matthew 19:18-19 Jesus' replies by reciting from the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself._ _According to Exodus 34:28 the words of the covenant [are] the ten commandments._ Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables *the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.* _Likewise in Deuteronomy 4:13._ Deuteronomy 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which *he commanded you to perform, ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.*
Shalom, so why is it that Christians don't keep the Sabbath-Saturday, Exodus 20 : 8, 11? I am a Gentile Christian but keep the Sabbath-Saturday. It was the Catholic church that changed it to Sunday to honor the sun god. I would rather follow the Bible than man. Why do Christian churches think it's OK to do that
If you’re a believer and want to obey you’re grafted into the olive tree(Romans 11), numbers 15:15-16, Galatians 3:28-29( one law for Jew and the stranger). Dump the gentile stuff. You are spiritual Israel!
On the substance, I may agree. On the details, I have more difficulty 1. It is difficult to attribute to Jesus what belongs to Matthew (for example in Matthew 5:19) 2. Rom 3:31 does not confirm the Torah as a law but as a promise 3 Difficult to relate Paul's words in the book of Acts written by Luke (some decades later) to Paul himself. 4. Peter's vision in Acts 10 shows that early Christianity reconsidered the notions of Clean and Unclean (cf. 34mn54s). See also Jesus in Mark 7. 5. The importance of the role of the Spirit (cf. Rom 8 where the law of the Spirit is equivalent to the law of Christ) should be emphasized in order to understand Paul's position in relation to the law.
I too had a hard time accepting Torah relevant to today. But let me see if I can clarify some of the verses of your concern. 1) Matthew 5:19 Just notice verses 21, 27, 43, in these verses we can see that the 10 Commandments are being discussed. 2) Romans 3:31 This verse agrees with (Romans 2:13, Romans 2:26, Romans 7:12, Romans 7:22, Romans 7:25) 3) Any certain verse that you are talking about! 4) Peters Vision of Unclean beast on a sheet being raised up and down three times, was a representative of what Jews and even Peter (Acts 10:28) considered that eating and fellowship with NON Jewish people was considered an unclean affair, but that was a Jewish tradition NOT a Biblical Commandment. The sheet of unclean beast represented the 3 gentile men Cornelius sent to Peter’s house (Acts 10:5) & (Acts 10:19), God never told Peter to eat unclean animals, but that Gentiles were not unclean (Acts 11:9-11). 5) The law being considered here in this chapter is not the Law of God, but the Law of Sin and Death (Romans 8:2). Notice in verse 2 that (the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus) is also discussed in (Proverbs 7:2). Shabbat Shalom my friend.
@@SouthernGardensHomestead I still think that Jesus (and Paul) challenged the notion of clean and unclean. This is evident in Mark 9. And the context of Mark 9 (and of Jesus' entire ministry) is not table fellowship with Gentiles. Paul's point in Romans 8:2ff is that the Jewish Law failed to condemn sin effectively. The death of Christ offers a more effective condemnation of sin. In this sense, Christ fulfills the program of the law ((the law is therefore necessary to understand its fulfillment in Christ). In the mashal of Romans 7:1-6 Paul makes it clear that the law owes its existence to the fact that human beings are "married" to sin. It is in this sense that Paul can speak of the law of sin and even the law of death. In 2 Corinthians 3:7, Paul even speaks of the law's ministry of death. Besides that, I think that Acts 11,9 says well that God declared the animals of the vision clean. It was not only tradition that called some animals unclean but the Torah itself (unclean were animals that fell into two taxonomic classes). There is perhaps a simpler (but perhaps also simplistic?) way to describe the relationship between the Law and Christ in Paul. Christ contains the law, the law does not contain Christ.
@@nivomorvant4610 If Paul and Jesus had of entertained the notion that unclean animals were food they would of both been considered false profits so says my Bible. @@SouthernGardensHomestead They did not consider that it was wrong, but that it had to be overtaken, in other words that the intention of the legislator prevailed over the text of the law. The same is true for the Sabbath. Jesus denounced the blind spots of the law in relation to the imperative of the Kingdom. Paul did the same with regard to the supremacy of the King.

Not only that but if we are trinitarians and believe that God Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same entity. The laws of God and the laws of Christ should be the same. Or am I way off base here ?
Blessings. I like this teaching a lot. However, the following verse has always been a stumbling g block for me. Why does Jesus differ "his" commandments vs "the father's" commandments. John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
"Under the law" means under the penalty of the law, that is the death penalty. A saved person has their sins forgiven and the penalty has been removed. They are not "under the law" An unsaved person is still under the law, that is the penalty of the law [death] and that is what they need saving from. If you replace the expression "not under the law" with being saved and "under the law" with not being saved the meaning may be clearer. Obedience to the law is not referred to here. Obedience is required whether we are saved or not. That's the problem-the disobedient are still unrepentant sinners and not saved. The obedient are repentant sinners who keep the law. Not that we earn our salvation by works-we don't. We are saved by grace but we are still required to obey the law because disobedience is sin and brings us the death penalty, that is we are "under the law".
Your reasoning is good, but if you say "under grace" instead of "not under the law", then you comply with Paul in Galatians. I have a series of Ytube videos 'Myths in so-called Christianity', and this subject I cover using Galatians.
@@billyhw5492 I am sorry but your reply does not make sense to me. Can you say what you meant differently please. Love is the fulfillment of the Law because love does no harm to its neighbor. Sexual immorality is harmful to one's neighbor. Therefore, sexually immoral behavior is not love.
😢The distinction between the Ten Commandments and the other laws of Moses lies in their origin, purpose, nature, inscription, significance in Christianilty, location in the sanctuary: 1. Origin: - Ten Commandments: Also known as the Decalogue, these were given directly by God to Moses on Mount Sinai and were inscribed on two stone tablets by God himself. (Exodus 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:4-21,10:1-4). - Other Laws of Moses: These include the ceremonial, civil, and moral laws that God gave to the Israelites through Moses, detailed primarily in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. 2. Purpose: - Ten Commandments: These are fundamental moral principles intended to guide the ethical and spiritual conduct of all people. They are seen as universal and timeless. (Matthew 5:17-48) - Other Laws of Moses: These laws include detailed regulations for worship (ceremonial laws), guidelines for social justice and community living (civil laws), and additional moral directives. They were specifically given to the nation of Israel to govern their religious, social, and political life. 3. Nature: - Ten Commandments: These commandments are concise and comprehensive, addressing broad principles of morality and worship. (Exodus 20:1-17) - Other Laws of Moses: These laws are more detailed and specific, covering a wide range of topics from community hygiene to procedures for sacrifices and festivals. 4. Inscription: - Ten Commandments: Written by the finger of God on stone tablets, symbolizing their universality, permanence and divine authority (Exodus 31:18; Deuteronomy 9:10). - Other Laws of Moses: Written by Moses in a book (the Torah), indicating their role in guiding the daily life and worship of the Israelites (Deuteronomy 31:9). 5. Significance in Christianity: - Ten Commandments: Still relevant and applicable, forming a basis for Christian ethics. Written in the heart and mind in the new Covenant. (Matthew 5:17-48, James 2:8-10, Hebrews 8:10) - Other Laws of Moses: The ceremonial and civil laws were fulfilled by Jesus Christ and are no longer binding on Christians (Colossians 2:14-17; Hebrews 10:1-10). 6. Location in the sanctuary: -Ten Commandments: Placed inside the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy10:2,5) -Other Laws of Moses: Placed by the side of the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 31:24-26) This distinction highlights the unique role of the Ten Commandments as a perpetual foundational moral code, while the other laws of Moses served to govern the specific covenant relationship between God and the nation of Israel.
No No where in the New Testament does it repeat thou shall have no other God before me but people know better than to attempt to throw that one away but the one that starts with the word remember, remember to keep the sabbath day holy they’re willing to throw out … that theology cannot be used.
The law of Christ is the law of Abraham. The Father of the only religion of God is Abraham, and the law of Abraham comes from the covenant of Abraham, for which Jesus is the seed.

Your teaching is good, but one does get the feeling that "Dispensationalists" are the great "unwashed" and responsible for all the ills in the church. When you cite those who disagree with your view you inevitably cite dispensationalists. However there are many other denominations who also disagree with your view so why only single dispensationalists out for your ire?

It's possible that Paul _made up_ the "Law of Christ," and therefore, all Christians are bound by the Law of _Moses._ In other words, you're (religious) Jews in denial. The Judaizers were right. They were _always_ right.
You are a false teacher and subject to God's coming wrath. Repent. 4Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God. 5For when we lived according to the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, bearing fruit for death. 6But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. (Romans 7:4-6)
Please, do not call the 10 commandments given at Sinai the law of Moses, they are from Gods finger, they are His Law. And Jesus confirmed His Father Law to be kept and for ever and for every one, not for salvation but for righteous living, for sanctification. Jesus died for our not keeping the commandments and because people do not accept His death for that reason they will be lost.
All this "splitting hairs" about Paul is a waste of time..... Today, very few Christians follow the law and that is because Paul gave the clear impression that it was okay not to do so.... Paul is a Benjaminite.... ( a wolf ) pretending to be a sheep.... ( a follower of the law ).....
This entire video is heresy and is easily and clearly refuted by simply reading the entire New Testament and honestly asking yourself what does each book (letter) say. There is only one Law or Torah of YHWH. Any other law seeks to add to or take away from YHWH's Law. This is exactly what the new testament is or was intended to do.
The NT was clearly not intended to do any such thing, as Paul clearly states in Rom. 3:31 that every last apostle, including himself, was _upholding_ the authority of the law.
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 Then please enlighten me where Torah speaks of another law that is to be considered. The new testament clearly elevates the name of a man to equal status of the name of God and entices men to follow that new name as their savior or redeemer. Torah mentions no other name that we are to seek after for salvation or for the forgiveness of sin. The new testament causes men to forget the name of YHWH and His mighty works for the name of a man who was born and died like all created fleh has or will. It entices men to worship the works of a created being as equal to or greater than the works of the Creator. That is idolatry. The new testament even elevates the words of men ( Paul/ jesus) as equal to or even greater than those that YHWH spoke directly to Moses.
@@jameshayden8789 Is it the NT that says that or is it YAH? Wasn’t it YAH who exalted HaMashiach above all (Daniel 7: 13-14)? YAH is literally in Yahshua’s name. His name means YAH is salvation. Meaning, if you call upon Yahshua, then you are calling on YAH’s salvation. They are one. Also as the previous comment or noted, both Yahshua and Shaul taught and kept the law. They do not elevate their own words above YAH’s. In fact, Yahshua said he only spoke what The Father said and only did the will of The Father (Mark 14:36, John 5:19, John 5:30, John 6:38, John 7:16, John 8:28, John 12: 49-50, John 14:10, John 14:24, John 17:8), and Shaul said that if anyone teaches contrary to Yahshua, then they know nothing and we should withdraw from them (1 Timothy 6: 3-6).
@@NANA-fh6we You do realize that your messiah jesus never had a kingdom or a throne nor had dominion with all peoples and nations serving him right? All of these things are projected onto jesus in the future after his supposed return. If that truely is Gods plan then it will be revealed so that all men can witness it. Until then it is only speculation that the new testament claims. Jesus came and went as all men before have done. The first commandment sets the stage for us as to how we are to percieve God and how we are to worship Him: Exo 20:2 I am YHWH thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. We are commanded to percieve YHWH as the only source and power that brought Israel out of bondage and that no other names are to be equated to His as that sorce or power. No other name is to be a co creator or co power that is sharing in this task. We are not to create images or representations of God from anything that is in the earth and call it God. This would include names of men who were also created within the earth. We are not to hold any other names before God and call upon it as God or equal to God as some sort of likeness of God. That would be breaking the commandment of YHWH and that is exactly what the new twistament does and was designed to do. Many men in the Jewish or Hebrew culture have YAH intergrated into their names but none of which are messiahs. Many others were named Yashua as it is and was a common name. Torah tells us to call on only one name for salvation and forgiveness for sin. We are to seek only that name and to teach that this name alone is God. YHWH. Calling on
The only law of God was given to Abraham, and Jesus fulfilled that law, which is law of Christ. Paul is clarifying that all Jews had to have the obedience of faith of Abraham.

I've been terrified and praying for an answer to this very thing and finally yesterday put away fear and fully trusted that Yah would guide me to the truth. Then I find this video today. Thank you for being of service to your fellow believers. Shalom and many blessings to you my friend.
Don’t be fooled, we are not under the Torah
But if we do sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us"
Don't be terrified, it's about having a heart to obey God, not about being perfect.
Do your best, out of love for God.
That's what it's about and what it has always been about from the beginning of time.
It's the people who outright reject God's law who should be terrified, not you.
Shalom. 😊
Ok, so I watched the video and they basically said the same thing.

Shabbat Shalom. Matthew 5:17-20 is my go to verse when people say you don't have to follow the Torah.
I see two basic problems:

The important and central teachings of Christianity were taught by Jesus to his disciples and were completed when Jesus was taken up into heaven. Before the disciples began writing the New Testament, The teaching of Christianity was already completed, including the law of Christ.
It is the beginning of the gospel and the word of life that John says, "Heard from the beginning."

You guys bring up Matthew chapter 5 verse 17 through 19 instead of all the way to 20 why do you leave verse 20 out ??
It sure does raise the bar. Not sure why they skipped it.
I’m trying to be as honest with Scripture (Tanakh and Brit Chadashah both) as I can. This is a complex thing to study. I’ve been grappling with this for a while, and still don’t know where I stand. I have a few questions, some of which are:
1) If not a hot or tittle passes away from the Law, then why don’t we stone to death those the Law commands to stone?

I’m trying here, man.
Read Charles Leiters book...The Law Of Christ
Profet Mohamed also had a revelation from God just like Paul
Or what David said lol
Yeshua is High priest of Israel
One of the high priest jobs is to offer sacrifice to Yah
And he Yeshua I have faith is doing his job as high priest of Israel in the heavenly temple and for those grafted in the commonwealth of Israel

What do we do with the laws that say to put people to death, etc

Shalom, so why is it that Christians don't keep the Sabbath-Saturday, Exodus 20 : 8, 11? I am a Gentile Christian but keep the Sabbath-Saturday. It was the Catholic church that changed it to Sunday to honor the sun god. I would rather follow the Bible than man. Why do Christian churches think it's OK to do that
I recently struggled with that question. I've found out the root cause is called "dispensation theology".
If you’re a believer and want to obey you’re grafted into the olive tree(Romans 11), numbers 15:15-16, Galatians 3:28-29( one law for Jew and the stranger). Dump the gentile stuff. You are spiritual Israel!
On the Sabbath, do you go to church?
On the substance, I may agree.
On the details, I have more difficulty
1. It is difficult to attribute to Jesus what belongs to Matthew (for example in Matthew 5:19)
2. Rom 3:31 does not confirm the Torah as a law but as a promise
3 Difficult to relate Paul's words in the book of Acts written by Luke (some decades later) to Paul himself.
1) Matthew 5:19
Just notice verses 21, 27, 43, in these verses we can see that the 10 Commandments are being discussed.
2) Romans 3:31
This verse agrees with (Romans 2:13, Romans 2:26, Romans 7:12, Romans 7:22, Romans 7:25)
3) Any certain verse that you are talking about!
(Deuteronomy 13:1-5)
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

NOTHING in the law of God will change UNTILL the new heavens & new Earth.
Even Jesus made clear the sabbath wasn’t only made for Jews, but for all mankind (Mark 2:27-28).
Not only that but if we are trinitarians and believe that God Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same entity. The laws of God and the laws of Christ should be the same. Or am I way off base here ?
Yes,but when Paul ate "common" meat, did it contain blood ?
If you replace "expression in the Bible" with "expression not in the Bible" then you can get the Bible to say anything you want it to say. Neat trick.

It's surely a contradiction to say the law is fine with in it's entirety and say some laws are then included 🤷🤦
I don't believe that the different ways of dealing with each individual has anything to do with rhetoric but that The Holy Spirit treats us as knowing who we are(because God made us and knows us) not due to human reason bit by His Power!
Love is the fulfillment of the Law because love does no harm to its neighbor. Sexual immorality is harmful to one's neighbor. Therefore, sexually immoral behavior is not love.
😢The distinction between the Ten Commandments and the other laws of Moses lies in their origin, purpose, nature, inscription, significance in Christianilty, location in the sanctuary:
1. Origin:
- Ten Commandments: Also known as the Decalogue, these were given directly by God to Moses on Mount Sinai and were inscribed on two stone tablets by God himself.
2. Purpose:
- Ten Commandments: These are fundamental moral principles intended to guide the ethical and spiritual conduct of all people. They are seen as universal and timeless. (Matthew 5:17-48)
- Other Laws of Moses: These laws include detailed regulations for worship (ceremonial laws), guidelines for social justice and community living (civil laws), and additional moral directives. They were specifically given to the nation of Israel to govern their religious, social, and political life.
3. Nature:
- Ten Commandments: These commandments are concise and comprehensive, addressing broad principles of morality and worship. (Exodus 20:1-17)
- Other Laws of Moses: These laws are more detailed and specific, covering a wide range of topics from community hygiene to procedures for sacrifices and festivals.
4. Inscription:
- Ten Commandments: Written by the finger of God on stone tablets, symbolizing their universality, permanence and divine authority (Exodus 31:18; Deuteronomy 9:10).
- Other Laws of Moses: Written by Moses in a book (the Torah), indicating their role in guiding the daily life and worship of the Israelites (Deuteronomy 31:9).
5. Significance in Christianity:
- Ten Commandments: Still relevant and applicable, forming a basis for Christian ethics. Written in the heart and mind in the new Covenant. (Matthew 5:17-48, James 2:8-10, Hebrews 8:10)
- Other Laws of Moses: The ceremonial and civil laws were fulfilled by Jesus Christ and are no longer binding on Christians (Colossians 2:14-17; Hebrews 10:1-10).
6. Location in the sanctuary:
-Ten Commandments: Placed inside the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy10:2,5)
-Other Laws of Moses: Placed by the side of the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 31:24-26)
This distinction highlights the unique role of the Ten Commandments as a perpetual foundational moral code, while the other laws of Moses served to govern the specific covenant relationship between God and the nation of Israel.
Well,i would tell Christian scholars that Yeshua did not even say anything, not a thing, about establishing a religion called Christianity.
No
No where in the New Testament does it repeat thou shall have no other God before me but people know better than to attempt to throw that one away but the one that starts with the word remember, remember to keep the sabbath day holy they’re willing to throw out …
that theology cannot be used.

@@narcissistinjurygiver2932 Many believe just that. So I just made a Ytube video 'Once saved always saved #23 Myths in so-called Christianity'.
Grace comes through repentance. God forbid that we sin that grace may abound, as grace comes from repentance from sin.
@@simonskinner1450 is jesus god?
@@narcissistinjurygiver2932 Jesus is not the Creator Lord God, he was made of a woman, but he has been elevated to sit alongside God as our Judge which makes him our Lord God.
@@simonskinner1450 says who? Jesus with his big ego! same Jesus who lied when it suited him!
All the law of moses was reused in the new testament.
Lamb sacrifice believe on Jesus Christ
Sabbath believe in Jesus Christ Rest
Death penalty .. take up your cross die daily
All government laws ... Believe in the king and enter the Kingdom of GOD
Food laws tied to both eating and speaking out and in
The Law has been made greater but easier
Matt7:23
It's possible that Paul _made up_ the "Law of Christ," and therefore, all Christians are bound by the Law of _Moses._ In other words, you're (religious) Jews in denial.
The Judaizers were right. They were _always_ right.
Antichrist don't keep Sabbath Holy
Hysterical, not permissible to go get Wasted !!! Too funny! That will lose a few!
This entire video is heresy and is easily and clearly refuted by simply reading the entire New Testament and honestly asking yourself what does each book (letter) say. Please read the Bible and stay away from these folks who disingenuously use isolated verses to support their works based salvation, which you will clearly understand by simply reading the New Testament in context. May God bless and keep you.
WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW FOR SALVATION! This Doesnt Mean we can Disregard God's Law and sin Freely! >>>>>> Romans 6:15
What then? SHALL WE SIN BECAUSE WE ARE ~NOT~ UNDER THE LAW BUT UNDER GRACE? Certainly not! We are Now Saved by God's Grace Because of what Jesus did on the Cross BY FAITH in what God has done for us.........This "ministry" 119 is False Teaching!! In fact if we Put ourselves under the Law in order to be Saved we will DIE IN OUR SINS! >>>>>>> Galatians 5:4
You have become SEPARATED FROM CHRIST, YOU WHO ATTEMPT TO BE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW; you have fallen from grace. The TRUE GOSPEL OF CHRIST is to Believe in Him and Accept what He did on the Cross for You according to Romans 10:9-10 . From There after getting saved we Walk with God Seeking Him in Prayer and Relationship. We obey the law because we Love the Lord NOT BECAUSE WE ARE SAVED BY WORKS OF THE LAW! And When we stumble and sin we are under the Blood of Jesus who died for our sins ~IF~ we are truly saved and seeking God and Not our flesh. Romans 8:1
The first commandment sets the stage for us as to how we are to percieve God and how we are to worship Him:
Exo 20:2 I am YHWH thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
