So just got me Deus 2. I really wanted the WSA XL over the ear headphones but not an option to swap out at time of purchase . I’m not a fan of the WS6 and wearing behind my head. Fort Bedford said I was the only person they knew who wanted to swap out the headphones with the Deus 2 RC. I’m glad I saw this because I’m gonna have to buy these as the current WS6 is just not to my liking with the half or behind the head set up. Thanks Scott

I'm using a Quest HD headphone with the built in adapter plate. Works fine. I use the XP behind the ear phones when I detect with a sunscreen hat on, but it makes my ears hurt after an hour or so. Keep the old chewed headphones around for Rocky to chew on--might keep him away from the real thing. Keep Digging, Scott!
I just can’t get past how funny and lopsided they look with the puck hanging off one side even if they work wonderful. It’s my OCD that would drive me crazy haha
I like how there are options out there. I was in the market for another pair and ended up going with Tony Eisenhower’s custom headphones. They’re only a little more $ than the Ghosts and they’re wired with a waterproof connector. I needed something I could use while wading in the surf and the Grey Ghosts wouldn’t work unfortunately. Been loving them so far! 🤙
Hey thanks for the heads up it is a good alternative and sometimes you know you do want to hear only the sounds of the the famous target his deepest is that DUES 2 Can go Thanks for bringing that to our attention yeah yeah 400 bucks when you when the other might be just a slight weight difference At least we have a proven product now not waiting on one Thanks again
I bought the gray ghost platinum headphones several months ago to use with my Deus2, fantastic headphones! But since then, I’ve started using the WS6 as a master remote with a separate shaft. Here’s an odd question for you…can I still take the WS6 puck, and use it on the gray ghost platinum headphones when using the Deus2 RC, now that I’ve set up customize programs on the puck for use when it is a master?
If you are using the puck to power the gray ghosts you will not be able to use it as the Master controller. The RC will be your master and your custom programs will have to be in the remote. Your customized programs will still be in the puck but they are completely different than the remote. You have to treat them differently unless they come out with a new update.
For a $1600 metal detector the WS6 headphones absolutely suck! as far as comfort. ESPECIALLY if you need to wear glasses, they are totally uncomfortable!! XP should redesign the set itself & give the Deus buyers a huge discount on them.
I think this may be my first legitimate question.....since the puck powers the G.G.'s, have you noticed any shortening of the battery life on the puck?
Well you paid off the D2 and now you can buy the coil :-) I did tell Keith btw you wanted one and yes I still need to send you some lead.. I keep forgetting.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking Ken sorry. Are you thinking about using a puck for the Grey Ghosts while using another puck (WS6) as the controller? If so, I'm not so sure that will work.
Ahhh ok, I think you should be fine, you will just have to pair the WSA2 headphones. I just tried walking through the menu of the WS6 and pairing is all there for headphones, coils, pinpointer etc. You should be good. Hmm sounds like another video :-)
Please tell me how can you tell the difference between the two to be certain that you got from grey ghost that are the platinum. Certainly there must be a way to tell the difference. I did try to get them from your guys but I could not make contact. Got them from another source
For me I had both so the packaging told me. Otherwise, there is no physical way unless you listen to them to tell the difference. You should have the warranty card that says platinum on it. The platinum are louder and more crisp sounding.
@@MentalMetal the paper was blue and said platinum. I found that strange they had no model identification on them at all. Just didn’t make sense to me.
I have the answer directly from the manufacturer. That the paperwork for the platinum is blue and the paperwork for the standard is green. But when you look inside you will be able to see the headphones inside the muff the speakers on the platinum you can see that they are silver and on the standard you will not be able to see the speaker. And that is how you can tell if you have a platinum headset or a standard headset because when you look inside the muff You will be able to see a silver speaker. Hope this helps others. John
These headphones are garbage you can hardly hear an Audible sound sounds like there hardly turned Half way up the stock headphones have a way louder sound being produced
Send them back you got at a bad pair. I've had no issues with the sounds and/or volume. I can only run them at 4 on the volume otherwise they will blow you out of your ear drums. You had to have a defected pair IMO.
I bought my own 25 mm 150 ohm speakers and solder them up so now there custom and I can even the faintest of signals wish they still had the old green pair of the nugget busters those were the best ones I think ever produced

I must be one of very few who actually really like the Deus 2 headphones. I find them to be comfortable.
Some folks do, I guess it just depends. I do like them more in the summer if I'm not near a lot of noise.

Did they improve the sound quality? I had some years ago and the audio of the Deus was lost, very muffled. I’ve heard they improved them

Do the Ghost headphones also work with XP ORX?
I think they do but you will have to contact your dealer or reach out to Fort Bedford and they will let you know for sure.
