Yes! This even works in an essay or e-mail in Chinese culture. Instead of pointing out the main idea at the beginning, we tend to conclude in the end. If you are in a hurry, you can usually jump to the final paragraph, which is usually the conclusion.

    • @cloudatlas349

@@yunyi2525 When you explain it like that, that you are building up to the conclusion, it makes a lot of sense!

2:12 This sentence is totally correct if the speaker is from Guangdong province (catonese).
Because Guangdong people do eat their friends from Fujian Province!

i tried yo yo Chinese, Chinese for us, Yabla but your material and the presentation is the best ! Pls make a series where an episode covers 10 word vocab and mini dialogues the way you act out examples about various topics: ex. car, house, going out, ordering food, etc- this way a learner gets 10 new words or so from an episode, a bit of grammar and real examples, just an idea. Thank you!

I think you need a video on how to not be discouraged after years of learning and forgetting because it is hard to get Mandarin speakers to talk to in small towns even on the web because they are twelve to thirteen hours away. Perhaps Chinese learning English are used to tough teaching but at least some Americans need to know how to get out of the "valley of despair."

Christopher Bridges, whoop! Indeed! 谢谢!Typo. I usually use Pinyin to write 汉字, and for that character I accidentally typed “gen” instead of “geng,” and then failed to catch that wrong character.
