I work in a store and sometimes we have Chinese customers. I always stick nearby to try to listen to the their conversations. One day I will be brave enough to say something! xD
I work in a store too and I always say something even though my Chinese isn't fluent. You should totally go for it. Even a basic greeting will be appreciated :D
When my Chinese was worse than bad, I dared to talk to Chinese a lot more than now. It was fun, it was always a nice experience. Now that I speak Chinese much better, I'm also much more insecure, I don't know why, and I only encourage myself to speak Chinese with people I know.
Please make much more videos in which you say chinese sentences. Normal speed, just like you've done in your previous videos. I'd really like to watch them. Thanks
Each time I feel I need a refresher or plan a next step ahead, I seek for your lectures. And - you always deliver, superbly. Thank you Shuoshuo for being there!
Wow! This lady is super talented in a her foreign tongue ( English) as well as in her mother tongue! I won't be surprised she speaks another language like German, or French or Spanish like some Chinese I know do.
Thanks for the video. I know most of the mentioned hanzi in the video. Hearing them being used in a natural way helps the brain to get more used to those phrases. Defintely a very helpful video. Especially if you are already learning Chinese for some time.
I like your style of presenting the videos... Clear in both languages... With Chinese characters ... Clear explanation and examples eith practices. Of course, you are beautiful. Your face shows a person with pleasant character. 👍❤️🌹
You are a great teacher ShuoShuo, always such quality content mixed in with your unique humorous style, helps to keep smiling while you study hard ;) must watch for anyone serious about learning chinese!
Excellent lesson and video as always. You are very smart and attractive language teacher. Maybe at the end it is better for you to give summary by repeating and showing ALL the sentences again, 3 sentences in every screen, complete with pinyin and english and your beautiful voice reading them and translate them but with little or no explanation.
nide yingyu hen hao. xiexie nide bang wo xuexi zhongwen. . I will put that one in my flashcards. I really appreciate your videos. Keep up the great work.
you need to match the words from english to chinese or vice versa. this would be a big improvement. otherwise the student is left to guess at it and ends up missing valuable learning. Other video's do this and it helps the learning process. the concept of "most common phrases" is a good one.
I watched Rush Hour in Taiwan. Chris Tucker's character met an old friend and said "Hey, man! What's up? How's it going?" The subtitles said 你好. Later Jacky Chan's character met an elderly man who said "How do you do? It's nice to meet you." Again, the subtitles said 你好.
I’ve made many videos teaching Chinese in a self-proclaimed humorous way. About 3000 Chinese characters cover 99% characters in newspapers and books. From my previous videos you can learn about 400 common characters. There are about 120 commonly used Chinese character radicals. From my previous videos, you can learn about 80 basic radicals. I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.
I live in China. A girl found me online and added me on WeChat. I chatted with her for several months but never anything in-depth. She finally suggested that we have dinner together. So, I agreed. She wanted to eat off of my plate. We were at a restaurant owned by another American. I didn't eat off of her plate as I felt it was rude. She ended up eating all of her food and nearly half of mine. Then, she started criticizing my weight. I'm a bit overweight but certainly not obese. I felt her criticism was rude and quickly knew that I wouldn't be having dinner again (ever) with her. She continued to contact me and continued to talk about my weight. The truth was, she was a bit overweight herself. I finally told her that she could quit worrying about my weight because there was zero chance that we would ever see each again. She said that she'd bought a new dress to wear the next time she saw me and now, she had no use for it. I told her that she'd figure out somewhere to wear it. I honestly think that she wanted me to pay for it which was never going to happen. Weird situation.
May be its because of cultural difference? My Russian friend told that chinese guys often tell her, that they like fat women. But she is not fat😊 shi is normal like caucasian. very strange indeed.
Besides this channel Zoe.languages for goals, materials.many self learning methods. For summary of Chinese, see Wilkipedia’s website Chinese refe ence grammar & other such books & sites. But for each language’s unique culture words to sentences, 1 needs articles, videos, books, websites, live people, etc.
Thanks a lot for your video it's very useful fruitful and informative. May I have your name, sorry Maybe I've missed it somewhere in your video It's very good that you provided your video with script and much related additional information Take care
2:31 Oh... I'm glad that I put this through Google Translate. I tried saying this a few times. According to the translation, I've been saying, "I recently switched sex jobs."
Best laugh I've had all day! Get those tones right! The word for new is the first tone. The word for sex is fourth tone. They are VERY different, so make sure that you can hear/pronounce these words correctly.
I was in store earlier, buying a soymilk to quench my thirst after meal (😅😂🤣 too much information). I said xiexie after the purchase, and the person replied zaijian. Is that normal?
It literally means 'see you again'... I just got back from Taiwan. I felt like some clerks ended the purchase transaction very quickly--instead of encouraging me to keep browsing, thank me, etc.
thank you! i have a doubt, is there a difference between 尝, 试, and 尝试 ? the word "try" means a lot of things in english, so simply saying they mean try doesnt answer much
So don't think I'll be saying '我请客' too often at restaurants 😂 cos some people order like I'm a millionaire. Don't mind covering at cafés as that's usually reasonable. Does that mean I can't be a real 中国人 convert?😂
The Word of God says those who call on The Name of The Lord shall be saved. I encourage you to buy a one subject notebook and write over and over on the pages: The Name of Jesus. And God will do something amazing in your life. Unexplainable peace will come into your life. The Word of God promises you peace which surpasseth all understanding.

Even though it's scary, the happiness that has met me every time I talk in Chinese is so worth it!

Hi!Learning Chinese is very interesting!Yet, I am equally interested in learning "how" and "why" Chinese girls think the way they do???
How can you answer “ I have been better” or something like that. It’s not often where you’d want to say it, but sometimes may need to.
Finally i got the difference! Thank you for the video
The way you pronounce zui sounds different. What part of China are you from?
还 好 号
I think it is: is all good with you yet?
❤ nice!!

Can I have a private lesson?
I was in store earlier, buying a soymilk to quench my thirst after meal (😅😂🤣 too much information). I said xiexie after the purchase, and the person replied zaijian. Is that normal?
You said thanks, they said bye. That seems normal to me
It literally means 'see you again'... I just got back from Taiwan. I felt like some clerks ended the purchase transaction very quickly--instead of encouraging me to keep browsing, thank me, etc.
Xie-xie wo hui shuo putonghua gen wide pengyou.
Might be more helpful if you explained that the grammer is different and does not match your text. Example; "Shenme', meaning, what. 什么
This Chinese script is clearer
thank you! i have a doubt, is there a difference between 尝, 试, and 尝试 ? the word "try" means a lot of things in english, so simply saying they mean try doesnt answer much
From what i know 尝 is more for trying food, tasting something
尝 means to taste, to experience (e.g., food)
试 means to attempt, to try on (clothes)
尝试 is the two-syllable equivalent of 试
