Daniel, as a country single mom myself. I have to tell you, I am so happy to see you bringing up this young man the way you are. Jot only doea it teach them responsibility but they have a better understanding and appreciation of where food comes from. Good job dad, and great job Houston!!
From one trapper to another, congratulations Houston!!! Coyotes are one of the hardest critters to catch and you have done it on your first try. Tight chains Houston!!!
I know I have told you many times how it is hard for me to watch these videos.. But... I watch for 2 reasons.. 1..support your channel. 2. Because I LOVE seeing Houston learning and showing his abilities and growing into such an amazing young man and your encouragement and support you give him. Thank you for sharing... ❤
Hello Daniel and Houston, congratulations on getting your first Coyote. Daniel you are doing a fantastic job teaching hunting and trapping skills to Houston. Not only is he learning how to protect your animals and homestead but he is learning how to get food. Have a wonderful week and May God Bless You and Your Family.
Daniel and Houston , Just a suggestion from my experience from trapping . On your Bobcat and coyote sets ,when you set close to a tree line such as you did with the feathers , take a few fluffy feathers and tie them to a string . (6-8 lb fishing line is what i have used ) and then take the other end with about a 2 feet of length between and tie it off to a limb above the trap so it can blow around . It attracts bobcats more than coyotes but it will work on both . Give it a try and may help you guys .Love seeing your videos and you being a great conservationist and teaching your kids how to survive if needed and help the populations of all the critters you guys hunt and trap . God bless and good luck guys !!
I am so excited and proud of Houston.Daniel now we know he will be able to surivior with no problem. Your raising him right Daniel doing a fantastic job.God Bless my Arms Family.
I am really enjoying this series of videos. It's cool getting to be part of Houston's journey at this stage of life. You are a great teacher, Daniel, and he is a great student.
Houston, I’m so very proud of you!! Your dad is teaching you some very important skills. I know not everyone is a big fan of the trapping videos but getting the wildlife under control is so important. Then watching you drive the side by side!!! I live in Ohio and while driving the other day I saw a small coyote running through a field, it had a chicken in its mouth. So by what you’re doing is helping save farm animals. Way to go Daniel! The life lessons you’re teaching Houston are priceless!! I’m a 61 year old grandma of six, I truly enjoy the videos you put out there for us. Thank you Arms family!!! 💛
Congratulations Houston I am so proud of you Thanks for sharing this awesome experience with us I used to do a lot of trapping I still love it and have the knowledge but now I'm disabled and can't hardly do anything so please keep sharing this with us Thanks again for another awesome video I really enjoyed it and as always I'm really looking forward to seeing the next video
Love seeing Houston learning different things. Was so proud when he got his first duck the other day. Here we have such an issues with the amount of Canadian geese that they have started spraying the eggs so they will not hatch. I am in southern Ontario
Congratulations Houston for a job well done my friend!! The more I watch these videos with Houston I see an up and coming professional outdoorsman already wise beyond his years and willing to learn and be better everyday. Daniel thank you for sharing the Arms Family lifestyle with us because you bring back so many memories of my grandparents farms I had the privilege to grow up on ( weekends/ summers) fishing and hunting as well as gardening and helping feed/doctor/raise over a thousand head of hogs and a few cows. Your videos make me smile and reminisce on those good ol times. Thank you
Good job Houston!!! My brother has been a taxidermist for at least 50 years now. It's been a good "side hustle" for him. He started with birds and squirrels and moved up to the big game. Pretty lucrative business. 💖
Congratulations, Houston. I remember a man who lived just west of the town I grew up in when I was about your age. He hunted wolf. He was a friend of my Daddy and stopped by our house one night on his way home from a hunt and had 13 of the big white timber wolves on him truck. Sometimes, he would fly his plane a spot, the wolf, and had guys on the ground he would talk to on a radio and tell them where they were. He used gray hounds on the ground. Love you'll stay safe, and keep up the good work. God bless. Dan 🇺🇸
I worked federal law enforcement for 2 years on a fugitive apprehension task force. We had a saying, “they have to be lucky every time. We only need to be lucky once.” Awesome efforts.
Great job Huston I love how you are teaching him and how he is so keen to learn, Very smart young man you have there, I know my boys would have love to have don't that, Love you guys HERVEY BAY QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA
I lost you guys for a few months now.. but I am back... Likely only here on TH-cam.. I am amazed to watch your trapping the coyotes etc. We have coyotes out back in the heath and swamp areas.. I lay in bed many nights in the winter and here them barking. Also Fox.. I saw a beautiful Fox trotting up the road passed my house just yesterday. Mary Leonard Pembroke Maine. msl
Awesome video Daniel and Houston, I so admire your dedication to sharing the way life has worked for centuries, living off the land and conservation principles of nature and human interaction with life and respect for it. And Happy new year!
Has anyone told you about putting golf ball on the dp traps it allows you to see trap from a distance and keeps the mice from getting in trap and eating the balt
I have never trapped before, but I find trapping very interesting. Your videos on trapping are, too me, extremely interesting. Your first haul seemed to take awhile, but I'm sure the learning curve is not instantaneous! But seemed like after a few days your haul was pretty good. Hobbies come, and go, but we always seem to never forget how they are done. Good luck, both of you, on your trapping quest. Be Safe, and God Bless!
My dad was a trapper in his youth. He was earning money for college when WWII changed his plans. Respect to you a Huston for taking care of your animals and property no matter what the anti-trappers, etc. say.💖
Way to go Houston! Nice Job. I'm 71 and the only thing that I ever trapped was mice and rats. I's great you have such a fine place to grow up in and learn how to take of. You have two great teachers.
That’s pretty good that Houston’s taking up the trapping I know the first trade isn’t very big right now, but just the same cleaning up the predators and sending them off off to be tanned is nice. I do that with my deer hides, but then again, I make my own regalia, but the outdoors I’m Narragansett and Wampanoag with Italian throne in sonata very good mix, but make my own moccasins and beadwork that’s all that matters. It’s a fun craft to have besides knowing how to take out the predators and re-purpose. The remains is a very good knowledge to have because there are people out there that watch the first.❤❤❤❤
THANKS DANIAL & HUSTON on the trapping deal....Back in the 1950's i used to have a trapping line.....l would run my trap ling at about 50:30 AM to see if i caught anything.....l had about 50 traps to check and then go to school.....When i came home from school at 3:30 in the afternoon and check my trap all over again...Thanks from a Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
I have probably 20 plus videos from different channels I watch including ole Lester but the only ones I have taken the time to watch is yours. I will eventually watch the others but if I see one from you I stop what I am doing to watch it. I think there are many reasons why. First off there is nothing better than a father spending time in the woods teaching his son all about life. Secondly watching Houston and the excitement he gets from doing it is just a testament to how he is raised. Mom and dad should be very proud of him. Thirdly I think it helps me to live through you both because I didn’t get to spend quality time with my father growing up but if I had I wish it would have been similar to you two. Last but in no way the least I enjoy the video content and the way of life. I could live in the small little cabin on Mill Creek and be very content. Simple is beautiful in my book. Thanks for not only sharing the videos but also your lives with us. Congratulations to Houston and the video guy on the coyote and raccoons. Awesome job guys. Look forward to the next chapter in this series.
I was so excited for Houston and his first Coyote! Daniel you are a fantastic teacher and doing a great job teaching Houston the right way to trap. Houston is growing into quiet a man already. 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
I first started watching your channel after CMR starting mentioning you on his channel. Man im glad i did. I grew up in the outdoors hunting, fishing and everything in between. The time your spending teaching Houston the way of the outdoors is absolutely amazing! Respect to you Daniel!
As much as this is hard to watch , the joy and pride that you and Houston have, plus carrying on the tradition worms my heart.. I’m glad to see that you are bettering the land for other species. ❤
I’ve seen firsthand what coyotes, foxes and bobcats can do to turkeys, quail and rabbits. A once abundant habitat was destroyed because the owners son wouldn’t control predators. It was very sad because they didn’t have hardly any wildlife on their property anymore. You are teaching Houston the importance of being a good steward of the property and the different methods necessary to protect the wildlife on it. Well done Daniel. Love this channel 👏👍😎🤠🥰
Yes. I'm not a hunter. Couldn't hit the broadside side of a barn & I can't blame it on my lazy eye because it's pure talent at missing. I also like coyotes a lot. Always have & always will. But their numbers nowadays need to be managed & the best way is a responsible ethical hunter. A quick clean kill as much as possible. I've never had the chance to hunt or even really want to. Not to mention I'd need a good babysitter to keep from making a dumbass mistake. But I've always supported good hunters who love nature. Everyone is so surprised online when a hunter chooses to help free a deer instead of killing it. But it's never surprised me at all. It makes me happy to see a good father teaching his children how to manage their land properly & protect their animals.
What a wonderful thing it must be to be able to be a dad with your son out Trappin just outdoors. I’m loving every minute of it the old man from Michigan.
Daniel. If possible put a small island in your pond for geese. To nest on. Plus try putting some nest boxes up for wood ducks. Congratulations Houston. Awesome video
That is a brilliant idea! You should definitely shoot them an email with that amazing tip! Not sure why I don't think of that! An island would be a GREAT way to protect the birds from ground predators!!! Daniel gets so many comments it is impossible for him to see them all BUT I REALLY THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT. THEIR EMAIL IS IS ALMOST EVERY VIDEO DESCRIPTION!!! ❤😊
Congratulations Houston keep it up. what an awesome job look out predators Houston is coming for you. thank you Daniel for allowing us to be apart of this through the videos xxx
Is Dejay ok ? She hasn't posted in a month and I miss her videos. She is always so encouraging and cheerful. Please, tell her we love her and miss her .
Great job Houston. Glad you caught your first Coyote. Hopefully you can get more. By the looks of the number of Racoons, they needed thinned out. Enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work 💪
Great Job Daniel on helping the Turkeys and Deer. Just to let you know that Wood Ducks in Jan start looking for nesting site, That is why you see a lot of them in creeks and wood areas. I have a pair that has showed up to my nesting box on my pond.
Well done to Houston. What a fantastic catch, love to see you show Houston how to live of the land. He’s amazing, he’s a very clever and respectful young man.
It’s amazing seeing how far he has come and turning into such a young man and learning how to manage the land and protect his food sources a little tip for Houston on the dog proof traps add a packet of honey to the top of the cat food god bless yall
Congrats Houston, Kudos Daniel for being an excellent father, role model and teacher. I grew up on a cattle ranch in VERY rural North Texas and coyotes was so bad people was killing them as much as possible. They decreased but they come back pretty quickly you will not stop them but it is good to allow the prey they have to have a chance.
Daniel looks like Houston will be doing his own trapping in the near future as he drove that side by side like a pro. That expression and excitement on his face was priceless and the pride of what you are teaching him was clear as day light. Well done Houston, may you trapping go from strength to strength

That would be great to add to his collection! Keep doing y’all! Lots of prayers for y’all! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤
Can’t say that I’m ecstatic about you guys getting a coyote but I certainly understand the reason for the need. Lester has a coyote problem over in Texas too that Jake is trying to manage. “No ducks were harmed in the making of this video clip”………priceless!
Good job Houston!!! I wished you lived in Minnesota close to me. My farmland is right next to a wildlife area. Which at one time had turkeys, Pheasants, geese, ducks and deer. Now there are just a few deer. I did have some chickens and ducks, but they are now gone. They were killed or disappeared during the day when I was gone. I do hear the coyotes sometimes on the south end of my farm. There is a drainage ditch on that end, and I was told they have a den there. But last winter, I did see a coyote up on my yard. During the summer, I have heard them close by my yard. Keep up the good hunting Daniel and Houton.
Daniel, you're raising Houston up to be an independent man. He's going to have skills to help him survive. Great job! I pray your family thrives for years to come. Bless you
Daniel, as a country single mom myself. I have to tell you, I am so happy to see you bringing up this young man the way you are. Jot only doea it teach them responsibility but they have a better understanding and appreciation of where food comes from. Good job dad, and great job Houston!!

Absolutely!

I'm surprised Houston didn't want to eat him.😂
