This one is rather underrated made for TV supernatural thriller with the great Barbara Stanwyck…the original “Femme Fatale” of Hollywood. Long live horror!!!!! Long live Creature Features!!!!
Barbara Stanwyck is one of my favorite female actors from the past. She can turn a losing audiences kind of movie 🎬 into a winning thriller or drama. Also the guy playing the professor is well seasoned and I've seen him in a variety of Sci-fi and westerns.

Had to watch this once again. This came out when I was 12 years old. It is based on the Barbara Michaels book, Ammie, Come Home, and the book is so good. There are two sequels, of a sort, to that book, Shattered Silk, and Stitches In Time, which are also excellent.
Agreed! Barbara Michaels is one of my favorite authors, along with her alter ego, Elizabeth Peters. I wish they had stuck to the book a little more, but I guess you can't have everything 😊.
I just discovered Creature Features this weekend and I am enjoying it very much. Love these old horror flicks. Anybody remember Beyond the Door? One of my favorite 80's monster flicks is Fright Night. Loving the hosts. Tangella is a doll.
I saw this film when it originally aired on ABC as their Movie of the Week, and I have a clear memory of attending school the next day and it being the predominant topic of discussion among my classmates. Some years later, I taped it, a VHS copy I retain to this day. The House That Would Not Die has become a part of my yearly Halloween ritual, watched at 3:30 in the afternoon as if I've just come home from school. It helps if it's a cool, crisp autumn afternoon, and I have a decent assortment of Fun Size bars in the holiday bowl! Thank you so much for resurrecting this old movie and sharing it, so I need not explain myself to the generations following my own. As for the "stupid interruptions", for those of your selections I remember and don't need to see again I find myself skating along the progress bar at the bottom of the screen and watching only the content you work so hard to put together for our entertainment. I'm an independent filmmaker myself, so I can fully appreciate the lengths you go to for your art. And yes, Tangella is lovely to look at. I only wish she was geographically closer to where I'm living now, as I have a working M1928A1 Thompson submachinegun I think she might enjoy... I like bad girls, which explains why I'm still single...

I remember these ABC Movie Specials, too. We had a lot more interesting stuff on regular network TV back then. There wasn't the choice of what to watch like now. The three big networks ABC, NBC and CBS were all we got with the exception of a few local independent channels sprinkled in. KBHK TV Channel 44 and KOFY TV 20 and PBS KQED Channel 9, was pretty much it. So movie productions that were "made for TV" was EVERYTHING. Yaaassss!

That woman, Jan Wahl, doesn't know what the hell she's talking about!! Barbra Stanwyck was a big star in the thirties, forties, fifties and sixties. I wish these so-called movie experts would brush up on their knowledge before they come on and make fools of themselves!!
Very good. Unusual to see a tv film from the early 70s in such perfect HD, but not only that - it is in its original 4:3. So many early films are spoilt by having 25% of their picture stripped away for showing in 16:9. This one hasn’t had that misfortune. More tv films from the 70s would be wonderful!
The film was a classic and I enjoyed it very much. I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the constant sponsor ads and the rediculous Creature Feature interruptions which took much away from the atmosphere of the film.
I love your channel and watching your videos coz you always have the best quality picture as well love crowhaven farm and Cathy’s curse and this one aswell

I love Barbara she's such a beautiful classy lady 🥰🤩
She had a handsome husband,Robert Taylor.
Yaaassss!
I'm only very new to your channel and this is the best movie watched so far, had never heard of it before and it's well worth watching again. Thank You All for bringing these forgotten films back to life for us to enjoy, you now have one new subscriber. Stew, from The Lands of Down Under (Australia)
Wish it was Saturday already!!! ☠️👽🧟🧛♂️🤘
back to the future?
I like the reminder feature and the countdown....I just wish it didn't block the audio level. I want to make sure I have the sound on.
That woman, Jan Wahl, doesn't know what the hell she's talking about!! Barbra Stanwyck was a big star in the thirties, forties, fifties and sixties. I wish these so-called movie experts would brush up on their knowledge before they come on and make fools of themselves!!
She loved the sound of her voice. As she went on and on, I was thinking....damn, lady, take a breath already!
@@ChrisCosat agree.
Thanks 🙏 loving it the more I watch 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Tangela had a blast tonight 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A great old made-for-tv horror film. Really looking forward. And it has Barbara Stanwyck.....there's no such thing as a bad Barbara Stanwyck film.
My dad had a fanboy crush on her, back in the day 😁
@@lindasue8719 Understandable!

Love these movies and Vincent Van Dahl and Mr. Livingston and Tangella? Sorry for any misspelling. Great show . . . Creature Features.
As much as I adore tangella, haven't seen Andrew for a few weeks 😁🦉
Richard Egan is really scary when he gets possessed by the ghost father. He is so intense! Good movie, thanks, Creature Features!
If Barbara Stanwyk wasn't in this movie it would have desintegrated long ago!!
Barbara stanwych and Richard Egan great film stars I remember Barbara in a cowboy film
I love creature Features !!!!❤ ...
Would have loved to watch it but too many interruptions. I lost interest
Great movies, love the old vintage ones, could have done without the interruptions though
The film was a classic and I enjoyed it very much. I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the constant sponsor ads and the rediculous Creature Feature interruptions which took much away from the atmosphere of the film.
Creature Features is my Favorite
This lady is so much fun🤩
I love your channel and watching your videos coz you always have the best quality picture as well love crowhaven farm and Cathy’s curse and this one aswell
