I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
Simply the best tiny home I've seen. It's spacious, extremely well laid out and great use of space. I'd live in this one in a second.

This just illustrates how tedious it is to have a really big house. I am surrounded by family and friends that have homes at 3000 sq ft and bigger. And they own a lot of junk that goes with such a house. All that maintenance! All those expenses! All the things you buy to fill such a house. I am all for efficiency and utilitarian design. There's a lot of peace and abundance in such a house.

This is absolutely stunning and I think it could be built more affordably than this home was. Nice use of small space with awesome lighting and views for a small (or large) piece of rural property. I'd live in it in a heartbeat!

I wouldn't say it's a "tiny house" however it's definitely a minimalist lifestyle.

I love this house for the simple reason it has no loft! Most of the time tiny houses have lofts and it's a pain in the rear to get up in the middle of the night. Up and down stairs or ladders you will regret!

Agreed. Too many people think that only "old' people become incapacitated... but I was bed ridden twice, (for months at a time), before the age of 35. If I had to deal with a LOFT I could not have stayed in my own home. That would have been a real bummer.
When one is still young, it may not pose a big problem. However, I would assume one would build a house for a lifetime and as one gets old a loft bedroom is a pain in the a$$...
I wonder what's under the porch, there is a lot of storage place that could be used there.

I agree on that no loft issue. In most of the small/tiny houses I've seen, you'd have to crawl around on the floor, and a few just crawl I to mattress. That's ridiculous! On top of that to have to crawl around then make your way down then back up a ladder if you need to use the bathroom middle of the night, who would want to do that????
this has no loft because it is over 500 sq ft and there is room....for tiny homes built on a trailer, it saves a lot of room and is more functional for many people who are looking to go tiny...people who are going tiny are more than likely, active and healthy people.

Overall very impressive looking design. I agree with the sofa placement comment. In my opinion the view would have been central to designing this home. Definitely would have liked to see spaces used to direct activities toward the lake view. Definitely the living room area facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction and perhaps expanded floor/wall beyond the plane stilted onto the deck. That being said really spectacular looking place.

Hako2004 completely agree! Most tiny homes have cramped bathrooms and this one is gorgeous and spacious.
Beautiful. I hope that when the video is over they turn the sofa around and mive it near the kutchen island so they can enjoy that view.

I normally do not like modern design, but I really the design of this house. Clean lines but cozy at the same time. The only thing I couldn't figure out was why that beautiful leather sofa was placed so that you would be facing awY from the window and the gorgeous view of the lake?? Turn that sofa around and drink in all the beauty!! Other than that-very nice-perfect for a weekend getaway.
Geny R. yup turn the sofa around, put an island to the kitchen instead of the table and that is what the sofa sits against and take out the lowest center window and half the height of the middle center window so you have a better location for the TV but still have most of the view when standing up or looking to either side of the TV or do a fireplace there if you don't care about TV.

well of course you can still go outside, but some times it's WAY to cold or WAY to hot to hang out outside but you still want to enjoy the view.

That's kind of the point of having that many windows on that side of the house. I agree with everyone saying the placement of the couch makes no sense. Why sit and stare at the kitchen when I could sit and look outside instead?
