    Looks great! Buh how about scaling. If my inputs are coming with different resolutions, will it multiscale those frames into the output?

    • @ChardTheTechGuy
      @ChardTheTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!! I don't think it's doing any scaling - it just taking the signal from from sources and passing it to output.

    Thank you Chard I bought 2 switchers before your video that didn't work. This works like a gem. However, I was wondering how to get my HDMI ARC working for all devices, by working I mean can all devices work with just one remote? I connected the switch to my HDTV and connected all my devices (Ultra HD Player, firestick, gaming system). I lost functionality especially in regard to the devices hooked up directly to the television, therefore, I have to use a separate remotes for each device. I am sure there is a quick fix, I am extremely happy with the quality that auto switch feature is amazing! My sound bar that is hooked up to the TV's Arc works well with all devices connected to the switch so that is great.

    • @ChardTheTechGuy
      @ChardTheTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome - Connect all the devices that needs to be control by the TV directly to the TV (Fire TV Stick, etc.) and not the switcher. All the other devices like game systems, DVD players, etc. connect to the switcher. BTW, the HDMI ARC only works with Sound-bars, with the remote been cable of controlling other devices, it must be HDMI-CEC capable, which can be found in the TV settings.

    Great video man...thanks! Soooo..I think this would work from my scenario, but maybe you can help me out. I have the main TV in my living room that has one HDMI1 out(TV) to the back of my stereo receiver in an AV closet that provides all the surround sound for my TV on HDMI1. I just bought a Firestick and when I plug it into my HDMI2 output from the TV it does not use the surround sound coming from my receiver, instead, it uses the TV speakers which, are seriously bad. Question. Can I use a Switch to run my firestick through my HDMI1 TV output for surround sound as well? Or, what would you suggest? Thanks in advance!

    Do you recommend using video cameras with this device, like to switch between cameras for church on a TV?

    • @ChardTheTechGuy
      @ChardTheTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You probably could, but I would not recommend it for that purpose, there is a short delay during the switching process, which leave your screen blank until it pick up the other signal. So you might want to go with another dedicated hardware that will get the job done more professionally. Check out this Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini HDMI Live Switcher - amzn.to/3cLIaO8 or something similar.

    Hi Chard I'm useless regarding technology so bear with me.I have an optical switch (at least that is what I have been told I have!) already with 4 inputs.These accept my sky cable, my sound bar ,and a chrome unit.Until recently all was well but now it has a sound problem (part of words are left out during speech) Through elimination it appears that the problem lies with the optical unit. I'm confused because my soundbar works automatically with the TV without any use of handset or anything selecting HDMI inputs, would this unit operate the same way? Thanks

    • @ChardTheTechGuy
      @ChardTheTechGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not advice using this to connect the HDMI ARC, the HDMI ARC should connect directly from the TV to the Sound bar. connect the switcher to one of the other available HDMI port on the TV and all devices to the switcher, all the sound will automatically feed to the sound bar.

    I bought the Zetta guard 5 way HDMI switch. when I plug in the device None of the lights go on. I've tried it on different outlets, same result. I plugged my Firestick into the back of the device and plugged in an HDMI extension from the Zetta to my TV still no power lights or input lights. My TV doesn't recognize that there is something plugged into the port.
    The Firestick works great when i plug it into the TV directly. It seems that I don't have power going into the Zetta. I sent one back and got a new one and just tried it and no luck. Its a simple device but i must be doing something wrong.
