The Wreckoning War was honestly a bit of a mess, though I did like how they wrote Nick Fry throughout the mini-event. Hopefully, now that he's back to being the man on the wall (while still retaining his power as The Unseen), he'll show up in more stories again. For that matter, I kind of wish Marvel would also give Nick Fury Jr (son of OG Fury; he's an attempt to get MCU Fury into the comics) something to do.
What do you think Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury would say about this version of himself? Do you think we will see this version of Nick Fury in the MCU because of the Multiverse and which actor do you think should play him?
When this happened, I always thought of it as the "Replacement Syndrome." Since most modern comics fans identify Nick Fury as being Samuel L Jackson, Marvel, in typical fashion, did everything to bring the Jackson Fury to the regular "616" universe. And such a replacement of a character usually requires utterly discrediting the original version and everyone who worked with him. So, Marvel effectively had to remove or kill off all of what amounted to the Steranko SHIELD regulars -- many from Fury's original Howling Commandos. Marvel then discredited the Contessa, one of the more interesting characters, by making her an enemy agent from the getgo (pathetic) and turn Dum Dum Dugan into an LMD (insulting). Lastly, they had to discredit Fury himself by completely upending his principles, or at least the principles he once espoused. Making him effectively the new Watcher never made sense, in my opinion, especially when the Watchers themselves probably knew quite well that Uatu wouldn't stay dead. The real curse was putting Fury, the man of action, into a position where he was incapable of taking ANY action. But, it didn't take long to get around this, and, of course, the Reckoning War storyline to all intents and purposes put an end to his role as The Unseen. How they're going to play off the new status quo of Fury effectively being an agent of Uatu may be interesting, but Fury worked best as the loner against the system, and I kinda wish they'd go back to that. The Jackson version of Fury is in the end a very different man than Fury Sr., and I think Marvel should play off those differences without all the cosmic power.
I was more than fine with Ultimate universe Nick Fury staying where he was and 616 Nick Fury staying the same. It was fine before, I don't know what happened.
i feel like the writers for Nick Fury , and The Punisher lacked writing skills to write a good story for a nonpowered hero. So they wrote in powers when they should have been writing better stories.
Another excellent banger to go into the archives. In Marvel Contest of Champions game when you kill the Samuel L. Jackson Nick Fury he comes back with less health but super strong they refer to the first death as his LMD Life Model Decoy. I never understood that reference until now. Always providing the clarity and the goods!!!
My favorite MCU movies in order Cap - Civil War Infinity War End Game Winter Soldier Ragnarok Loki Moon Knight Black Panther Ironman Spider Man into the Spider Verse Spider Man - W the 3 Spider men Dr Strange Daredevil GOG 2 Shang Chi
The only way I think they could fix this is if we find out all this was Nick Fury's plan to get more info as a 'watcher' and he goes back and re-establish shield properly.
Look, I like Jackson as much as the next person, and I don't have anything against him playing Fury. That said, this Fury is the one I grew up with, and the one I consider to be the "real one", as far as the comics are concerned.
Good day, Sir Shadow. Glad to see you here, bro! You're still in the top 10 today... 8th to be exact! Regardless, you know you're always at home here anyway! 😁😎👊🏽
You are very right my brother New Sage and I very much so agree the the Unseen along with this series the Original Sin proves that Nick Fury is a beyond savage; and in my opinion, has done a lot to make himself be underestimated. This dude has done and hide so much and this series reveals so much about the character; I really liked it. My question to you my brother how would you feel if they made a movie or MCU version of the Unseen with Samuel Jackson as him? My brother the greatness does not stop with you, I love it. Thank you again for sharing your blessing with us. All praise, glory and blessings be to the most high, awesome, loving, almighty, true and living GOD for all of HIS blessings that HE bestows upon us HIS family in CHRIST JESUS in the name of our Lord and savior JESUS CHRIST by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. Again, I mean and say to you, I continue to and will always pray and ask of GOD that HE bless and always...forever shine upon / within you my brother New Sage (GOD bless you my brother truly in JESUS CHRIST name), keep shine brother, keep shining. Stay encouraged, keep inspiring all to greatness like you and stay frosty cause they don't get cooler than you...one love peace my brother, I say it again my brother, I may be repeating, but I mean every word; GOD bless you brother.
This form of Nick Fury is an asshole because he made Thor Odinson lose his hammer and become unworthy to lift it by saying "Gorr was right" (which is bullshit.)
I can’t wait to see Hawkeye become a God next for whatever ever fucking reason cause why the fuck not right. Maybe after that agent Coleson FUCK IT WHY NOT.
Do they ever explain his color swap? I know he looked more Like Sam L Jackson’s version in ultimate but I think he started to look like him in mainline 616 too
And I heard about this and I'm like what the hell?so if he do the work no one wants to do I guess either they gonna(mess up)make him the real boss or join the Illuminati?
Are you going to do comic book origin of DC White Dragon in your next video since he appeared in the Peacemaker series on HBO Max? Can you also do comic book origin of DC Ray Terrill the Ray, William Payton Starman, Britannia and Prometheus?
Nick Fury had a big role in the Fantastic Four: Reckoning War Event by helping Uatu and the Fantastic Four end the war. Although, I love Nick Fury from the Ultimate Universe Comics, I still have love for the Original Nick Fury. I wonder who should replace David Hasselhoff as the White Nick Fury? It's difficult to find an actor to play him.
@@mostmost1 you do realize they created a bs character to cash in on the black bank account , then used the old they are parent & child trick as a excuse to cover their @$$ & people fell for it lol . It's still race swapping they just used a good cover story to get away with it .
@@craigalston2208 you do know that's every last fiction character in the history of the world? From batman to Bart Simpson it's seeking an audience to introduce a character. Patronizing white men is fine right? Seeking to get the white male audience is righteous, godly and the gold standard? These are fictional cartoon characters not of any race either. Stop the bitching and moaning over cartoons.
I've always found the "The US. Government is the most powerful force in all of creation" concept absolute cringe. This is basically the premise of several Nick Fury and other Marvel stories.
I 'member when Fury was white lol. But yes Gorr was right, 4:15 they dragged the hell outta that to see what made Thor unworthy. Do admit Samuel L. Jackson improved the character with better pacing than this damn arc.
Damn this Unseen storyline is complex. Excellent detailed breakdown.
I appreciate it, bro! 😎👊🏽
Wow never knew Nick was so ruthless. Glad he's on the 616 side.

@trex advent If they did a staring MCU Nick Fury Sam Jackson Disney plus series this Unseen storyline would be dope.
I don’t think they’ll go in this direction in the MCU.
It's difficult to find an actor to play the white Nick Fury. But who should play him? Probably not David Hasselhoff.
🤔 MAYBE... Gerard Butler. But, TBH, I'm not sure.
I believe David Hasselhof would have other words to say about that.
Love it! So soothing bro...thank you!
I guess you can say if you ever face the unseen
You would never seen him coming…
😅👊🏽
Oh wow interesting character awesome thanks for sharing the history and story of this cool neat character man

Right
Actual comic fans have never accepted sam jackson as nick fury. Complete disgrace
The movies are ruining the comics.
@@GZP1023 nonsense, real comic fans know the shows won't match the comics and Sam isn't far from the comics nick fury Jr at all

My dude great video. The edits are dope!
THIS CHANNEL GETS A LEGENDARY RATING ..
His videos has the best format to learn about new characters. He deserves more subs!
Nick Fury Jr. needs his own brother Clone of her father Nick Sr. name is Mike, we need switch names?
Its so interesting that the original Nick Fury we all know would become this, I never actually know that he has more stories after Original sin

🤔 Oooh. That's deep. 🤓
They should show the white fury also in some multiverse thing
Nick Fury Sr. was 70 year old.

Love this one thanks for explaining this whole original Nick Fury situation!! Salute Fam I agree with the rating !!
