When you were at the repair shop and you were pointing the parts that were being repaired... Don't use your feet next time. My Thai girlfriend hits me everyone I do it. Feet are consider very dirty and you shouldn't point to things out people using your feet in Thailand. I'm not trying to be a gatekeeper, just want to make sure you don't offend anyone in the future 🙂 I love your videos and enjoy your adventure man. Be safe and continue the great journey man.

Ranong is one of five smallest provinces of Thailand but top two with recorded heaviest rainfall. That's why we call Ranong a city of 8-month-rainfall and 4-month-sunlight. You are lucky being there with no rain. 60-70% of land is moutainous. That's why it is one of the smallest province in terms of population. Share border both land and sea with Myanmar. Some fantastic tropical islands but not as famous as those in Phuket and Krabi. Noted for hot spring. When you drive from Ranong to Chumporn, some part of the road will run along the river and you can see the land of Myanmar across that river.

You stole all my tips ;) I think most Thais know that many visitors are clueless about the foot thing, so they don't get too worked up about it. I know a Thai girl who when she counts on her fingers she starts with the middle one, so she flips me the bird for a second. When I tell her she gets embarrassed and turns red :)

I loved this video and it showed so many reasons why we love Thailand and will be returning again soon, long term. We will start our long term journey on Koh Samui (with a quick 2 weeks on Phuket) and the plan after 6 months to a year will be to really explore and experience the entire country and hopefully end up living in a more cultural area like you shared today!!! Thank you.!!!

Hi Paddy, thoroughly enjoying your escapades in Thailand. Impressed with the production levels and creative editing. I spent from 1998 to 2006 living and working in Thailand and to this day still consider it home in a strange way. Love the ‘off the beaten track’ vibe and your ability in showing the other side of this beautiful country, well done. Food is such an important part of the culture and I always thought it would be good to show how these wonderful street chefs create such culinary delights. Not that I don’t enjoy watching you eat them Mate x

Hey Ranong Province is one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. It was an area of tranquility. Friendly people, beautiful nature. And trees that are green all year because of the rain that falls in a year for up to 8 months There is a large fishing port that brings marine resources. It was sold all over the country.
With a distance of about 500 kilometers from Bangkok, I like to drive to relax here often. The main road into the city is really cool because it has 120 km to 499 curves.
Motorcyclists in Thailand often gather together and set out on a trip here.
When I came across this video, I had to prepare to go to Ranong again.
Thank you very much for bringing back memories.

The audio sounds good Paddy with that in cam mic and the windsock. The province is as beautiful as you say. Seems very sleepy and laid back there. Glad you found a replacement for the drone locally. As I said I do have one I put your name on and can send it to you if you want to have a backup. I have never used it so I would rather see it in your hands getting a use or at least give you the comfort that you have a backup.

Ok dear Paddy. Here’s my instinct of a teacher. Try saying Cha manow instead of chai manow. Say it 21 times none stop. “Cha manow “. Now associate with cha-cha dancing, like it’s so good and it make you want to dance the cha cha cha.
May I please have a cha cha chamaow .
Man, the roti and curry look sooooo good.
Keep up the good job and Have a safe travel.

After seeing the cemetery it is definitely a Chinese Cemetery, they are known as horse-Shoe graves, they have them all over Asia, the shape is designed upon Fung Shui. Normally a family plot...

They (rich Chinese) love to snap up land under a mountain and/or near the road for their monuments. Of course you can only buy land in Thailand if your Thai but if you have enough money then you can get what you need.

Those people are the people who has surname that given by King Rama 6. These surname only give to people who lives in that area for long time and well know by people in the area. The one you saw, thier surname is Na-Ranong (in Thai as - At Ranong), which represent their ancestor are from Ranong. This surname is forbidden normal people to use coz it has to be given by King only. It is also againt the law for thai people to do so. There are others such as Na-Chiangmai, Na-Ayutthaya, etc. However, i do not think there is Na-Bangkok coz I have never heard one and it would sound weird. LOL.

Lol, the spider is a golden orb weaver. And that’s NOT a he, that’s a she. The males are tiny in comparison. I live in Florida and we have them here as well. I’m sure a slightly different variation but almost identical.

Wow..you found some thing special for this province, from the name of the grave stone, Na Ranong, is an important family there. This family came from China and later on got the position of a governor there.
