Wally is imo one of the greatest comic book characters of all time and is in part underrated for people who didn't watch JL, JLU, and Young Justice, or if they don't know his major feats or how his personality is in the source material and how's it's been developed over time. I love Barry just as much on most days, but aside from the tragedy of his mother and how it gave him a drive and dedication for his work and sense of justice, I remember how Wally started as just a kid, developed his abilities for quite a long time, fostered relationships of all kinds through time and experiences, contains charismatic wit and boldness where a righteous and caring person was always just beneath it, and finally when Barry sacrificed himself in Crisis On Infinite Earths, Wally through his grief and anguish decided to take up the mantle and it couldn't have been better suited for anyone else, not just because of the abilities, but because of who was behind the mask carrying the name of The Flash forward. Wally deserves all the love, is along with Dick Grayson the best passing of the torch from a mentor's role in comics, and has more than earned the title of being: The Fastest Man Alive💯🙌⚡
