Yep I agree. Make your own adventure. Sometimes life just wont let you do certain things and when that happens I’m just as happy getting out if only for one hour walking and thinking about the next time I’m sure Lucy was happy going for a walk and checking out new things. I agree that you dont always have to go far to enjoy nature. I saw quite a few good places that you could toss a tent for an easy night camp. My daughter and I are lucky enough to live on the biggest lake in our corner of the state, so I often sneak away for a hike to pitch the tent, cook some dinner, and spend a night under the stars taking some astrophotography pictures. Or I'll pack a day pack early in the morning and take a hike somewhere on the lake to eat breakfast. And you're right, it doesn't always have to take a lot of money. That's why I make a lot of my gear and buy most of the rest at thrift stores. Cheers, bud!
Always great to get out and explore around our own neighbourhoods. I know it is something I sure enjoy doing with Otis...and usually find places that few others ever explore! Great stuff!!
