    I have used my 2013 Prius for camping up to 2 months and the interior creaks. My solution was to get some Connoisseur's Choice interior cleaner and polish kit and use generously in between the cracks of hard plastic pieces. The product is not oily or greasy like Armor All and similar product and it does not attract dust. It also has the pleasant mild fragrance of mink oil. After using other vehicles for camping over the years, nothing beats a hybrid. If it's 25 degrees cold outside I can let the car cycle all night from EV to gas and keep the interior warm & cozy and just a light blanket on a decent camping mattress will do. Plus at best I will burn a gallon of gas, or less. I have also had a doctor visit with a specialist, or bring my dog shopping while it's 95 degrees outside and climb in back and take a nap in a/c here in GA. I lost count of how many times i froze all night bundled up or sweated all night and couldn't sleep. I do have a 4x4 Ranger with the 4.0 six cylinder but i only keep it for when I need a truck. I drive easy most of the time and barely get 14 MPG.I can't wait to get a used hybrid Sienna 5 years from now.The vehicle is in great demand even for courier and transport business' they generally get snatched up as soon as they hit the market. Worse yet, companies like Carvana sell them for higher than new prices so they can make even more profit with crazy high interest rates.

    The reason the seat did not go down all the way is the plastic that was under it in your video. My 15 seats sometimes rattled. I repositoned then locked them in and gave it a tug always the right seat. I drove the hybrids while i got a loaner during service. The hiway entrance from the ramp to the road is real short. I was at a stop. I had it in sport mode and floored it. Definately less torque than the 6 cylander with the 6 six speed. They have to make a bigger atkinson engine with some more pep. IT might reduce MPG but if you fully load the car down it cna be sluggish but achieve highway speed. At the end of the day it is double the gas mileage. More power Mr. Scott. The inside area cargo scratches just like mine, The car needs the spare but loose cupholders and its a doughnut.
    The hvac with those buttons will break, bring back the knobs! Also you take your eyes off the road to adjust the hvac. Nice review.

    Your reviews are very helpful they give me a real world use with the bad and good. We have been shopping for a new family vehicle and coming from a 2012 Odyssey we have definitely kept an eye on the minivans. Like you mention about the creeks...I noticed creeky noise coming from the back on our test drive of the 2022 sienna XSE, I feel like it's coming from those flimsy 3rd row seats. I thought maybe it was just this one car but surprised when you mentioned it, a lot of the times reviews don't really point out the short comings of vehicles. For me it's a deal breaker I don't want to drive a creeky car right from the get go let alone from Toyota, aren't they supposed to be about quality. Also the engine was also a deal breaker, mpg is great but at what costs, the engine noise is terrible and feels underpowered. The propulsion of this car does not give me confidence to overtake cars to pass especially with the precise cargo I would have to haul. Really wanted to like this vehicle bc of the exterior and interior looks but Toyota has come short on quality and engineering for me... thanks for the detailed review!

    I own the toyota sienna and this is what I think. So I own the 2021 toyota sienna xse everything is amazing the seats and the lights and I love everything about it but sometimes the car makes allot of wind noise out of nowhere. Most of the time the car is smooth and quite especially in residential roads but sometimes in the highway it makes allot of noise. But the best thing I like is the lane tracing feature, it really helps when driving long distances and lowers fatigue. It keeps the car in the middle of the lane and it also handle slight turns easily

    I have a 2021 Sienna, but my complaint is with the 36 mpg. I can say that only in the first 2 months I reached 33-36 mpg, now it is difficult to get 33 mpg, all the time it is between 26-31 mpg and to get the 31 mpg I have to slow start the sienna very slow and very slow to arrive to the speed limit of where I'm driving. For me, the strange thing is that I drive this Sienna the same way every time and only at the beginning was it between 33-36 mpg. I think Toyota programmed this 2021 Sienna so that only at the beginning would it get maximum gas economy. My other complaint is with the AWD it is not an AWD system that is a lie from TOYOTA because the reality is an intelligent automatic AWD system that only activates when the front wheels slip on the road or when it is very cold and snow has fallen the AWD system to start driving then if the front wheels do not slide the AWD is deactivated until necessary. For me, this AWD system in the 2021 Sienna would be better if it had a button to activate it manually when you wanted it and when you want the vehicle to drive completely automatically, it leaves it automatic.

      The rear motor also kicks in upon regular acceleration from standing still on a dry pavement. This is by Toyota design. You can confirm this by monitoring the torque distribution on the LCD screen as you drive it.
      I have two Audis with always-on Torsten mechanical center diff, but this Sienna system is effective for its intended purpose, as I have yet to feel the latency.

      @@pretor706 It is better to give up the car altogether than to put yourself in the hands of Chrysler. Years of experience show the terrible quality of Chrysler cars and why do people think that something has changed for the better? On the contrary, with so many electronics and Chrysler's new hybrid system, Pacifica is sure to give the "happy" owner a lot of trouble. You will terribly regret buying a Chrysler. How can we trust a manufacturer who has been producing garbage for many years? In addition, these cars do not hold value. Their resale value is terrible. You will get pennies for it compared to Toyota or Honda. Chrysler can not be bought in any case. Miracles don't happen.

If you go to any dealership, you will find mark-ups like crazy or/and a TON of add-ons installed. The used one I mentioned was sold in days. Waiting lists for new ones (none of them base models) are long. Toyota's are for their base hard core owners, very reserved and niche. Any sort of "bump" on that front end and it's TOTALED!

    • @leeuniverse
      @leeuniverse 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EpicDrew15 ... I don't think that's true. A car with bumpers can STILL deform and absorb energy in an actual crash that would cause such damage. Bumpers are simply for the "low speed" contacts which protect both cars, and if it's a softer bumper like some Hard Rubber, that can also absorb energy. Though, even a Steel bumper does that just like a cars "frame" does it, which is also steel.
      So, I think it's 100% the car makers simply trying to save money and to make cars "look cooler". As well, the car makers make MORE MONEY when people constantly have to fix their cars due to minor contact.
      So, I don't agree at all in this issue it has anything to do with the government. Yes, in other issues, but not this one.

      Its a geometry thing. It looks like the with the way they had the door track in the window, its not opening as far as it could if they extended the track past the rear window.
      Just looking at all these reviews, you can see its going to be a challenge.
      My youngest is now 2 so not an issue anymore, but if he was still rear facing that would probably be a deal breaker (and a back breaker) for my wife.
      I remember the few times i put the rear facing in my civic which had the same issue, and it was much lower. Looked like i was presenting simba, when trying to get him in.

If you are running 70 MPH fully loaded and need to step on it to get past some slow poke I need an engine that will respond quickly. From the tons of reviews that I have watched, the 4 cylinder is not going to do that. I love Toyota and still have 3 of them but a 4 cylinder minivan is not going to work for us. As for our new Odyssey, that V6 mated to the 10 speed transmission is buttery smooth. We really like it so far and made the right decision for what we need.
