    fanlink.to/_of...
Offworld, Celldweller's fourth vocal-based studio album departs from the project's signature sound of aggressive guitars, blasting beats and ass-kicking intensity and delivers a journey of sentimental feels and emotionally gripping tracks, showcasing the intimate song-writing side of project mastermind, Klayton.
The album's 11 tracks range from the soul searching "How Little I Must Know," to the modern shoegazer "Echoes," the somber a cappella "Mother's Arms," to the acoustic guitar driven "The Great Divide," and the heavy, yet atmospheric vibe of "Last Night on Earth." The album begins and ends with the title track & reprise of "Offworld," which gives the album a narrative backdrop as a sci-fi adventure of leaving the world behind - perhaps to explore a new one or join life on the other side, closing the album experience with a familiar Celldweller lyric... "we will never die." The digital/CD version of the album include a bonus remix by Ulrich Schnauss (Tangerine Dream).
Strap in and prepare to hit the launch button on this other-worldly adventure and "go offworld tonight."

Klayton has made this kind of sound before (Fadeaway, Welcome to the End, etc...).
But all those older tracks had a sense of desperation and pain in them. This however, while being essentially similar, has a certain maturity and closure feel to it. It's as if the young and desperate Klayton from back then who struggled with dark emotions has at long last found his inner peace at later stages in life. Absolutely beautiful.

Which is actually a very interesting parallel, considering The Great Divide is, lyrically, a song about struggling, and how repetitive and depressing it can be to struggle, but with the very hopeful acknowledgement that the struggle will be worthwhile, and eventually you'll make it to "the other side".

This song and probably the whole album give me a feeling that this will sort of "complete" Celldweller and Klayton's music as a whole. It's like this was the only type of atmosphere/sound/feeling that was either missing or wasn't focused on (talking about songs like Just Like You).

Can't tell if this is a song about leaving Earth and escaping into Space or about mourning someone that has died...
I find it really cool that many of Klayton's songs can be perceived in different ways

It's not often a song can break my heart like this. And it is the full spectrum of brokenness. From the pain of loss, in my case loss of friendship. to the hope of what is on the other side of every shattering moment. We will never die.

This song really hits home to me. A few years ago I lost a very close friend of mine, and it was around that time that I started listening to Celldweller. I remember thinking back then, that maybe in some time in some place, he was standing there waiting, and that one day I'd be able to join him. This song's lyrics perfectly describe that. Thanks for all the great music and I'm looking forward to the rest of Offworld.

Wow. I'm so used to complex superproductions when it comes to Celldweller, but this just goes to show how much he can achieve with just a simple heartfelt song, with just a guitar, a couple of synths and his amazing voice. This was unexpected, in the best way possible. 1000/10

There's a Celldweller song for every feeling... I like this one... Could cover a variety of topics. Lost friendships, loved ones dying, emotional decay... just overall it deals with loss in general. Love it. I hope the whole album has this style. Reminds me of good ol' Celldweller. Not that I didn't like the much more electronic feel though. So excited for this album! July is going to be a great month!

I lost my cat this Monday.....she was just 6 years old....died out of nowhere, we suspect a brain problem..she suddenly had a convulsion and died in front of me...i kept petting her and talking to her, thinking please don't leave me alone...yet if you have to go, go. She was just more than my pet...she was a friend, a mate....she had a good life with me, and I'm glad i was with her 'till the end. This song makes me release my emotions much more easily. She will be very missed. I just hope she waits in the second stage for me...allowing me to reconcile with her when my time has come. Death isn't the end, it's maybe the end of this life, but the start of something new. All that has a begin has an end, and all that has an end has a begin. I just hope she can wait. Thank you for producing this Klayton. A good job as always!

It's this kind of versatility that has always made Klayton's music so great. Anytime I show someone his music it never suffices to show them just one song, because there's such a vast variety of styles from one album to the next. Seriously a musical genius. Masterpiece as always, man. Props.

Thank you Klayton. This new album is incredible. I've been broke for years but finally got a little bit of money and even though i should probably spend it on getting more of my life together this album deserves support, i'll probably go back and buy wish upon a blackstar too.
I hardly ever purchase music, ever, but all i've heard from this new album is really something special to me and my heart.
    Thank you

This reminds me of "Just Like You," and "Against the Tide," which are hands down my two favorite Celldweller tracks. If that's the direction Offworld is taking then it's going to be Klayton's most amazing album to date. This track is just wonderful to listen to. It doesn't seem to matter what direction Celldweller goes, Klayton produces amazing work.

From all what you do is that you inspire my imagination with your music it helps me through my depression and it's been so long since the first of your music appeared that I loved it! You improve with your music and you grow the same as your music inspires me to write! I really love your music and I appreciate those that help you along the way. I wish that one day I really get to experience this live.
