I have to say, I prefer the commentators being together in one room on site rather than sitting at home with shitty webcams
100% agree. The flow and rapport are so much better.
May b they are not paid enough for that
World Champion vs HIM
i would say thats not typical win you get 1.5 while other get 1 point white gets disadvantage 10min black has big chance on that round
He always was “Him” lmao
world champ vs champ world
😂
nar
you're a menace haha
Excellent video and surprising result! Nice stuff.
Ding should've resigned as soon as Magnus locked the board 😂🤣
Good to see the world champ win
????? Magnus isnt the world champ
@@Chessplayer81837you didn’t get it
@@taykerrr5315 nah. Cagnus Marlsen is the world champion
World champion vs goat
What is ratio of white winning to black winning in armagaddon?
magnus record is 10/11 with white
White lost seconds from the ⏰️ no fair
Why are y'all hating on Ding?
🤯
Kind of a boring game, mostly due to Liren's lack of effort
Damn
Magnus show ding how to be a real world champ by flexing his muscles 💪 Magnus said “ I’m still the King of Chess don’t you forget that ding 💪🥇🏆
magnus fanboys are so cringe holy shit
@@fumusotrue
@@fumuso you're not wrong
Check out dudes other comments, bro is an actual fanboy. I mean I love magnus too but holy shit this was cringe.
Can someone explain? : Why would Magnus take the draw when all he has to do is push the pawn and get mate? I understand a draw = win but ..... ?? He had the win on a silver platter.
mostly because of the time
Magnus didn't had a win. If magnus pushes his pawn, ding would just give perpetual checks to magnus king. And magnus king can't escape checks.
respect
He would've won anyway, he ate so many pawns there. Only thing I was worried about is his time but I'm pretty sure he used all of it efficiently knowing that he only needs a draw
Good video +first 🙃
Both played great of course. But counting a draw as a win for black is just wayyyy too much of an advantage for black. Especially at grandmaster level
Danny with the Seinfeld reference
Nice game 👍🏻
Magnus ALWAYS wins. Poor ding gonna get destroyed this tournament
He drew.
@@travis03 in armageddon draw with black means you win, white need to win so ding can't draw and he failed to do that so magnus win.
Spoiler
At least we'll get to see history when Gukesh becomes the youngest ever WC
@@lordtouchme77 game was still a draw, even if you count it as a win for black. Its just wayyyy too much of an advantage for black, the 3 minutes less does literally nothing to compensate for that disadvantage
the rule is just stupid.imagine black only has to force a draw to win the game it would be so much pressure on white😅if you ever played 10 games in your life you'll know it's unfair
3 minute time advantage with no increment until move 40 is a big advantage though
Hey, I'm first here
First one here for this epic match
Can anyone explain the format? I mean what's the point of this format?
To force a decisive result
If the players keep on drawing, there's armageddon. Both of the players bid on the time and on the side they want to play. White has more time than black, but white NEEDS to win. If the match is drawn, black wins, so that's why Magnus won even though they drew the position.
@@vojaurosevic5176 no they don't bid , the player who has white in the classical game gets white in the Armageddon and black gets black , they also don't bid for time white starts with 10 mins while black with 7
@@TheeldenLord924 yeah that's this norway chess tournament, but it's not like that. sorry
